I think the people are really nice and caring. No place is perfect, but I feel like they take good care of my dad, and I feel comfortable if I had to go out of own leaving him there. It's a very nice, sunny building, which was one of features that attracted us to it. I also like that everything is on one floor, so he has a chance to walk around inside, and they have a nice inner courtyard as well. It was also the most affordable option we found.

We chose Arbor Landing at Surfside because we liked the overall look of the facility. It was clean, the apartments were well kept, and the price at the time was fine. All of the staff we have met have been exemplary. We have a deluxe one bedroom apartment and it is adequate for the two of us. The only disappointment we have had is with the food. We have been here 7 months and after the first couple of months it has declined and I think there are certain items they could do better at. I think the value is there for what we are getting. I would recommend Arbor Landing at Surfside, they just have a couple of improvements to make.

My husband was a resident of Horizons at Arbor Landing in Ocean Isle. While I have no complaints concerning the care he received there I fail to understand why, when he was admitted to the hospital after not feeling well and falling, and then passing away, I received no condolences from any of the office staff. I received a check for the remainder of his personal account in an envelope but not even a note. The only condolence I received was from the social director, who was exemplary in her job. This seems odd to me and doesn’t show the level of care and compassion they tout on their website.

Good community, just too far from family.

Overall, I am pleased with the community. The size is nice, the caregivers are very kind and that means a lot. The food is very bland according to my loved one. They have cornhole, field trips drives, sing alongs, indoor garden, games, and more activities for the residents to choose from. We have had to remind the staff several times that our loved one can't be left alone in their wheelchair. This is something that has been repeatedly asked and told to the staff, and it happened earlier this week again.

The community was very accommodating and very kind to my loved one. Communication

I would absolutely recommend this facility to friends or family, it wasn't the absolutely best experience we had but we did have a good experience. Our loved one received good care, and this community was just night and day compared to the previous community our loved one was at.

They are very easy to work with. I would recommend this community to others. The community is very clean and friendly and very conveniently located.

What stuck out to us about Arbor landing was the location, it was very close to our house so we could visit often when we were able to. The apartment sizes are great, she has a 1 bedroom in assisted living. I think it is a great facility and would definitely recommend.

I had a wonderful tour of this community and I felt that it would have defiantly been a good fit for my wife. But unfortunately, her evaluation did not qualify her to become a resident. I felt that her doctors should have been called directly as part of that evaluation but they were not and I was told that they would not be able to accommodate the type of care she would need.

My tour of the Falls River Village and Court went very well, the place was very nice and all of the staff were wonderful. Jennifer, the lady in charge of sales I believe, was great. She answered all of my questions. It was a great place it just came down to location.

All of the staff was super friendly, caring and nice. I appreciated that I didn't feel as though their main priority was selling me on their property. The residents knew each other and it seemed like a true community.

I've been pretty happy with it. It's relatively small. The price point was good, it was clean, friendly. The food is adequate, we don't really participate in the activities.

The meals and dining are just not good, definitely need improvement overall. On the organization in the dining room and the availability of food really is the problem the most. I think they do an excellent job with laundry, never had a facility do such a great job with this service. The other thing I would say would like to see improve would be something similar to a community newsletter that goes out to family on current events.

The staff members are very friendly, caring and respectful. The care services kind of vary depending on the aids that day. We think the food looks great but our loved one says otherwise, she complains about it but also can't remember they have different options if you don't like something. She doesn't always participate in the activities but ones she does go to she really enjoys.

Everyone is super friendly and I've been happy to see both my parents have put on weight since meals are provided! There is no "outdoor living areas" for residents to enjoy. Literally just a parking lot all around the building. It would be a big improvement to have some green space/ fire pits/ some kind out outdoor courtyard where you can look at something other than a parking lot.

My loved one was previously a resident at Arbor Landing at Hampstead and the overall experience was okay. The cleanliness, friendliness and staff were good. The meals were okay. My mom had a piece of jewelry that she never took off/always wore and it disappeared. No one at the facility really acknowledged it.

The staff that worked and cared for my husband at Falls River Court basically were understanding, but a bit impatient. They didn't wait for the shower water to get warm! The director was not the person to have been in charge. She showed no compassion or concern when I spoke with her. There was very little interaction between residents. I understand that many cannot, but there were some that enjoyed being outside, working in the above ground gardens, singing and playing games. The move in process was okay, but moving items with no help was difficult!
