Our family chose this community because it was smaller and was only one story. My father-in-law uses a wheel chair and he said that he would fell more comfortable here. Jamie has been very nice and helpful through the move-in process.

We toured this place, and it is very pretty. But it is fifteen minutes from the nearest town. Very quiet, mom needed a place that bustled, so we chose a place in Myrtle Beach. We really liked the Arbor Landing they offered a lot of the same services, but would recommend it for those looking for a quiet respite. Mom needed the sounds of the city to feel at home.

We have only experienced the Carteret Landing during covid. The administrative staff have been outstanding, I think that is one of the strongest pieces of the facility. Activities have been affected by covid but I think that they are doing the most that they can do and really are trying their best. They have just started eating in the dining room rather than having the food delivered to them and she has had no complaints. I do think that they are short staffed here but I know that it is due to covid. I would recommend them to others who are looking.

I was impressed with the sales person that took us on our tour as they were respectful towards the residents. Most of the staff are helpful and nice. We saw a lot of activities going on when we visited. The food seems to be ok. This community is one floor and has a lot of courtyards. The community is well taken care of.

This was a very nice community. It was clean and the people were friendly, and it was really nice. We were tossed up between this one and another one. In the end the other one was a little close to us and made it easier to come and visit our loved one but this was a very nice community.

My mom resides in the memory care unit of this facility, which is separate from the assisted living side and comes at a higher cost. Unfortunately, there is a noticeable difference between the two areas. The assisted living side is beautiful-it has an elegant dining room with tablecloths and cloth napkins, a well-maintained courtyard, and a wide variety of activities. In contrast, the memory care unit feels neglected. The courtyard is not well maintained, with broken chairs and unkept landscaping, and even simple touches like filled birdfeeders are often overlooked. Dining in memory care is also disappointing. The food quality is poor, and meals are often served in a disorganized way. Residents are not given knives, even when needed, and basic items like napkins, beverages, or silverware are not consistently provided unless requested. At times, meals are served out of order or incomplete, which adds to the frustration. The activity schedule is another concern. The printed monthly calendar is frequently inaccurate, and many listed activities do not actually take place. There are also far fewer activities offered compared to assisted living, and memory care residents rarely benefit from outside entertainment or events. While the staff is consistently friendly and kind, there seems to be a lack of follow-through and oversight. Communication and attention to detail are often lacking, and responsibilities sometimes fall on family members to monitor and address concerns. Staffing also appears limited, particularly on weekends when administrative support is not available. There used to be someone at the front entrance on weekends, but that is no longer the case. I was also disappointed by a recent rate increase. When I initially signed the contract, I was told to expect about a 4% increase, but the actual increase was 7%. After raising the issue, it was adjusted back to 4%, which I appreciated. The facility itself is very attractive, and the caregivers are patient, compassionate, and clearly dedicated to the residents. It takes a special kind of person to do this work, and I truly value their efforts. That said, many of the concerns I have seem to stem from management and a lack of consistent standards in the memory care unit. With better oversight and accountability, these issues could be significantly improved. Many residents do not have family members advocating for them regularly, so it's especially important that the facility maintains a high level of care and attention for everyone.

Arbor landing was a good place for my parents, they were treated well. Staff was friendly and helpful. One thing I wish we had done was securing my mom's rings. I think it happened at Georgetown Hospital, her rings were stolen when she stayed overnight.

Now that my mom has been there been a year, I can say that the amount of activities, cleanliness and communication is still just as nice and consistent compared to when she first moved in. My mom has made friends and meets twice a day to play cards with her friend group in addition to the other activities. She really loves the food, she always says it's very good and she's full after every meal. The residents are all very friendly and welcoming and the staff have always been pleasant to her and myself. The rent has gone up at the beginning of the year but I can't say I'm surprised about that. I mentioned before that I wish some information was shared up front by the sales associate we met with last year, I feel like she was kind of pushy to get us to sign the lease without giving us much time to consider our options. I've since been able to get my mom on a waitlist for a unit that has the features she wants since we didn't know it was an option when we first signed. But I've had no issues with any of the administrative staff otherwise. I'd definitely recommend Arbor Ridge. My mom is safe, engaged and happy.

I would recommend them .. he is very happy. Getting the routine down has been a challenge for [name removed]but that could be him being independent. [name removed] has been there for a couple months and they are good people
They are nice apartments. They have friendly, caring staff. There are many activities. There are decent meals - good variety of alternatives to chef's selection. They are pet friendly.

Arbor Landing is a fantastic facility with knowledgeable staff. They demonstrate remarkable patience and attentiveness towards residents in memory care. The staff gets to know each resident and caters to their unique needs. While I acknowledge that staff turnover among CNAs is a common issue in healthcare, I believe it would be beneficial to have an additional CNA on each shift to improve the staff-to-resident ratio as the stage of the disease varies in each resident. The activity director organizes fantastic events and works diligently to include all the residents. There’s an activity calendar for each day, but unfortunately, there isn't always sufficient staff on the weekends to lead these events. I know my LO is safe at Harbor Landing Memory Care and a professional team is there 24/7 to help her through this horrible disease when I can't be there.
