Review for Tessera of Brandon

Putting the People you care for in a facility is hard on its own but overall care is good. I would recommend the facility if the loved one is Mobil and not as wheelchair bound as my loved one. The management staff are on top of their items they are handling but there is some disconnect with the nursing staff that actually handles the care. 8 out of 10 caregivers work wonderfully with the clients but there are always a few that spoil the bunch. The therapy group and the hairdresser that we have dealt with are wonderful. Loved one was pleasantly pleased with the kitchen and food. I have dealt with a couple facilities and this one is one of the better ones.

Review for Sonata Hunter's Creek

Location was a big factor. Also, we know it had the best reviews. We were satisfied with it when we toured. We don't think any place else would be better necessarily and still feel that way.The quality of food is fine. I feel like they are short on staff.

We toured Sonata Hunter's Creek during our search for a Memory Care facility for our loved one. This facility seemed good. The cleanliness and friendliness were great. The facility had a great atmosphere. They were very informative.

A Christian place for aging parents

My mother is currently a resident at Sonata Hunter's Creek. This facility is good. The staff is very friendly. The food is not very healthy. My mother has heart problems and diabetes but the food is mostly fried. Communication with the family is below par. They don't communicate well with us and my mother gets things confused. It would be great if they would work with us more instead of just telling my mother things.

Families experience

Nice place, but it took them way too long to start helping my mom with her care. There were some health scares with swollen feet, etc, that remained unnoticed. That should have been addressed immediately. They took her inhalers away. And she needed them as she has COPD. People were very nice and they enjoyed the activities. Food was a bit salty at times for people with heart issues. Other than that, they liked the place. But they are glad to be back home while they still can.

Nice community but needs improvement

The community is clean. It has been the best place, but they can improve on somethings. They are all friendly. My loved is fine with the food. They do the samething with the activities, and they can do better with keeping the residents engaged. We have to stay on top of the staff, to make sure that they are properly taking care of my loved one, especially when it comes to providing medication. The communicatin with the Executive Director has been good.

Good Choice

Our family has experienced a lot of loving care. Sometimes they have a little bitt of an issue with staffing, like every place right now. But the staff they do have have been excellent. The food is excellent. The chef goes out of his way to make the food not only tasty but also visually appetizing with the garnishes he uses. It's easy for the residents to eat, and there's plenty of it. The facility is beautiful and only about a year old. It has a lovely courtyard. The décor is very pleasing, and the rooms are nice.

My Experience

While no place is perfect, Tessera was a cut above the other facilities I dealt with. The staff were always helpful: [name removed]at the reception desk, and especially the sales manager, [name removed], who went above and beyond helping me get my mother in there. My mother was always treated with respect and dignity during what ended up being the last few months of her life.

Well Worth The Experience and Lucky to Have Found The Community

This is a great community and your feel comfort knowing your loved one is taken care of. I feel peace knowing my loved one is being well cared for by the staff. The staff are good to work with if I have questions or concerns about my loved one and they are responsive. The activities are limited here. Your loved one will need to season their own food.

This is a Great Place for Your Loved One

I would tell others that the community is very good. Everyone is very friendly. Sometimes it takes time for the staff to return emails or phone calls about my loved one. This is my only hesitation about the community. The community is very well decorated, and feels very welcoming.

Smaller facility

We chose Savannah Grand because it is a small intimate place and I figured it would be easier to find her way around and be more comfortable. The room sizes are nice, they are private rooms. Initially it was difficult because of covid restrictions and as they started to lift them they seemed to be comfortable with not doing much. They have recently changed management and things are improving dramatically such as having many more activities. They are good with communication and I see the director almost on a daily basis. I would recommend to others looking.

Savannah Grand Of Maitland is definitely worth a look

Savannah Grand was always kept clean, and they offered a fair amount of activities for the residents. The pace was very affordable for everything they had to offer. The affordability, and the initial walk through really stood out to us. The waiting area, and entry way was very well appointed, The marketing individual we met with was very friendly and very helping with answering all of our questions we had.

My review of Sonata Hunter's Creek (Sonata Senior Living)

Our loved one really does enjoy the meals and dining, but we do wish they offered more care. We think if they did our loved one would receive more attention, we think the community is a little laid back. We also wish they would offer outside walks for the residents to keep them active and engaged.

Expect a hotel vibe but not much care

Overall my mom chose not to use a lot of the amenities - they apparently mop with dirty water in her room, they clean her clothes with soiled clothes of other residents and they do not answer her call for more than 20 minutes most times. My father had to hire a helper to accommodate her needs because they weren't being met here on a timely basis. She also found medication missing while she was in the hospital. Some things I'm not sure because she can be high maintenance but also she said the food was no good and asks for outside food. There don't seem to be many resources for care like physical therapy or general wellness but again I have not been there since she moved in

Review for Providence Living at Hunter's Creek

Realize that every Assisted Living Facility is short on workers...don't expect everything to run smoothly. All I recommend is that people need to do their due diligence when selecting an Assisted Living Facility.

Less capable Mom, more money, same service.

When extra care was needed after a fall at the facility, there was an upgrade to the charges, and we never so an increase in level of care or service. Top Admin staff are often hard to reach with one or two exceptions. Only got responses when I went in person.

My mother has lived at Providence Hunters Creek for a year, so this review is intended to give potential residents a view into what to expect in this community: Pros: - Cleanliness of the property and responsive maintenance - Caring staff of CNAs and Nurses. Both [name removed] and [name removed] are very professional and diligent doing their jobs. - Recreational Director ([name removed]) does a good job with the limited resources has. Cons: This community is seriously understaffed and here is how it impacts the residents: - CNAs are not consistent providing the level of care residents are paying for. Eg showering schedules are consistently off and my poor Mother misses showers every week. Some days the CNAs cant make it to her room as scheduled in the mornings/lunch/dinner and my Mother sits in her room waiting for hours. - Dining room has 1 cook for over 100 residents and 3-4 servers, this means residents wait 1-2 hours to be served. - activities are often cancelled or changed due to low staffing

Has room for improvements

On laundry day we will find dry clothes in the dryer that weren't folded. We asked that a trash bag be put in the trash can, but unfortunately this is rarely done.

Great place except for dining experience

The food and food service is inadequate. Better wages should be paid to attract more attendants and a more qualified chef. Residents must wait for long periods to get their food served. Often the food is improperly cooked or unavailable as shown on the menu. There are no health violation concerns just poorly prepared food or lack of choices. Example under cooked spaghetti and rice, running out of items indicating poor ordering of supplies.
