I just moved in and I like the management and nursing staff. I also have enjoyed making some new friends. This seems like a really nice place so far.

Savannah Grand of Maitland has been a god send to us. I had no idea what to do as my parents have been aging in their own home. My mother and father both were in need of different types of care but I couldn’t bring myself to separate them after 55 years of marriage! I live locally so I have always driven by this place. I moved my parents in and it has been amazing. My father is in the memory care and my mother lives in the assisted living building. They get to visit with each other every day and both get the care they need. This was a perfect fit for us.

I have lived here for over a year. Couldn't have selected a better place to call home. Keven our administrator is the best always has time for the residents. The activities are the best. just love this place. You will too.

Loved one is in memory care. Be sure to know the nurses and get there contact info. Good lines of communication is needed. Really understand your expectations for your loved one, and relay that to the staff. They are friendly but find out all details, and be sure to ask questions. Overall, very good experience.

The facility is very clean and the building is fairly new. While touring the facility, I was a little turned off by 2 staff members sitting in the cafeteria maybe they were on break, but they weren't eating just sitting there and a female resident in a wheelchair asked them if they could fill her water bottle and they told her no, not right now. I would have done it if I knew where to get ice and water. The lady in the wheelchair sat there waiting while the 2 employees sat at the table and talked. I am looking for a facility that will take care of my loved one and these employees looked bothered by the resident. Also, the coordinator I met with is new, but I planned on sending my loved one to the facility on a certain date and I was working on the paperwork and he ended up not going because he got sick and went to the hospital. The coordinator never followed up to say how is the paperwork going? Can I help? I would have followed up, but I never even received a call, nothing.

Beautiful community. I liked that the memory care section was on the first and second floors and had a double door system. I didn’t like that the activity area was a part of the dining area or that the A/C system was separate units for each apartment which I think would be noisy. The unit I saw had the A/C unit removed for cleaning. Small closets in the units. I didn’t see a lot of staff in the MC area but it was lunchtime.

Still very happy with them. Mom is doing great. Absolutely would recommend to others.

Lovely place. Brand new. Little more expensive than others I toured. Smaller apartment than other places. Dorm-size refrigerator. No swimming pool.

The location is always very clean and the staff is welcoming. Food is good and my father eats well and he's a picky eater. Activities are good however recommend family involvement to make sure they can go to the main building events. Sometimes it's not easy contacting nursing staff by phone.

Staff is loving and kind (for the most part), they treat my Mom like she is their family and never fail to tell me they love her. The ate affectionate with her and she feels safe there. I trust them with her care--which is saying a LOT. Activities are ok. I would like to see more that require physical movement (bowling, balloon toss ...) and require less auditory commands (Bingo) Food is meh...some times too spicy for a senior pallet. I do appreciate the fact that they try to keep residents in the "least restrictive" environment and go the extra mile to keep my Mom in ALF and out of memory care. Residents look out for and care for/about their fellow residents. I love the routine environment. My Mom has done well there. I did just get my monthly statement with a huge (1K) increase, without a prior notice...would have appreciated a heads up on that! I am planning to speak to Wanda concerning that. I do realize that many utilities have sky rocketed so I understand the possible reasons. Just would have liked a notice with reasons for increase.

Most of the caregivers were great. They are unfortunately understaffed. My Mother fell 5 times in the 8 months she lived there. The last fall resulting in her death. There are just not enough staff. Especially at night.
