I would recommend it. The staff were friendly and attentive. Place is clean with nice rooms and various activities are offered.

We love Cherry Laurel. [name removed]the manager is great. They do struggle to keep help on for cleaning and serving. Mom has been extremely happy. We have had meals with her and the food options are nice. I love the dining room. Mom goes to bingo. We had dinner with her last night and she said they were going to be going some renovations. I do think the activity room could be nicer. The staff is friendly. They just need more staff.

Has had big turnover of management in the last 2 years. My MIL doesn't seem to like any of the food. I have eaten there a couple times and the food is ok, but nothing really to rave about. The community as a whole is good. All one facility so no going to different buildings as in other facilities.

We like their friendly down to earth staff who genuinely cared about the residents

The Activities director for memory care, [name removed], is an energic, loving, and caring person and they should be thankful they have her! The furnishings, especially the chairs, need replacing.

Celebration villas has been great for Dad. The staff is very good with communication regarding Dad and they care about his well-being there.

My answers are mostly based on my mom's comments and thoughts and what I've seen and experienced as well. A regularly visit my mom twice a week. I think it's a lovely place, I love the fact that it's one floor and a small number of residents, I love the setting and how it's off the road, I love the beautiful porch. For the most part everyone is very friendly and accommodating. There are one or two attendants that my mom has to deal with regularly that she refers to as grumpy and I have noticed that as well. There's been a few occasions when I've gone in there where I feel that the bathroom is kind of messy/dirty. But for the most part it is clean. I think the meals sound pretty good A little repetitious and sometimes cold from what my mom says. I think they do offer a nice variety of activities and I have noticed that there are different ones going on for the holidays so that's nice. It's hard for me to say anything about the value for cost because I think it's super expensive but I didn't have a lot of comparisons of other places and from what I've heard it's all comparable. But it's not just there that is expensive it's everywhere so that's my opinion.

On Saturday afternoons they have a band which is wonderful and my mother looks forward to it all week. One more entertainment would be great. The onset of dementia makes bingo difficult. Wish there was something else. Even a mid afternoon movie. Staff never returns a call.

[name removed] and the Team at Celebration Villa of South Hills have done an outstanding job transitioning family member from out of state. They were flexible, reliable and readily available to answer any questions and concerns. My recommendation is to do your homework, know your expectations and ask questions. You will find Celebration Villa of South Hills very accommodating!

We have been happy with the overall experience and care of my mother. The med techs have been informative and helpful as she has had some behavior issues. The staff has been very sensitive and helpful in navigating this stage in her life and ours. The PT and OT have helped her progress. The director walked us through the whole move in, financial process. I would recommend this facility.

I like the activities and the daily exercises. The food is good but it can always be improved one. Based on the experience I have had so far, I would recommend this community to other families but its best to go off what the person could afford.

I need to start by saying [name removed] moved out of Brookdale in January of 2023. She suffered a psychotic break and the Brookdale staff concluded they were not equipped to meet [name removed] particular needs. I agree with their decision. I believe the staff responded to [name removed] as best they could. One nurse, [name removed], was particularly mindful and compassionate.

When I came here, I could barely do anything for myself. The aids helped me a great deal and going to exercise 6 days a week helped me become very independent.

Sometimes the dining room staff can seem a little grumpy but others are very nice. There could be a little more consistency on how different staff members carry out rules and regulations.

My experience with Poet’s Walk Leesburg has been very positive. This started many months ago before the facility was actually needed. Staff was very helpful in identifying things to consider and reassured me that they were there to help in any way they could. I can say that I am visiting there almost daily and they have residents at different levels of cognitive abilities and they meet them right where they are. I’ve witnessed staff treat the residents like family. All of the staff interact with the residents and know them by name. They encourage and engage residents to participate in activities. The staff is always looking for ways to entertain everyone. I would recommend this facility for memory care.

It's a nice place with a good location. The facility needs an update (carpeting, etc...) but it's clean. Staff is very friendly and seems to genuinely care for the residents. They have one day a week that they go out do something. Maybe do something 2 or three times a week?

Positive for the most part. Recent staff turnover has been created some instability for the residents.

There was an extra charge for nursing that we were unaware of, different levels! Made a big difference because we were private pay!!

I think they are pretty much all the same. Of course, I could be wrong. I have been going to see my wife every day for 1 year and 3 months, unless I'm sick or in the hospital, because I don't trust any of these places to give my wife the care I think she deserves. Plus, I know human nature, and some workers do the bare minimum just to get by. I recently asked Ascend Hospice to help, and they are now helping. So now I have their minister sit with Sue for a couple of hours on Tuesdays, so I can have a day off. This is very helpful for me because I'm starting to stress more over things as I get older.

It's an ok place to live if you're not real needy my mother in law doesn't bother them and we are there twice a week.
