Elmcroft is a first rate place to live. My sister raved about the food and the staff. The rooms and all the surroundings were beautiful. The staff was ever so thoughtful as we dealt with a difficult situation. My only regret is that my sister didn't get to enjoy the facility for very long.

Love this faculty. Managed by [name removed] who ate vested in caring & providing an excellent program for their residents along with accommodating for individual needs. [name removed]

This home exceeds my expectations in every way. It is very safe, clean, comfortable, friendly and appealing. Most of this is because of the very excellent staff. They are all kind, efficient and present. It is very smart to have them have open office doors and to pour coffee at the five meals. It means constant contact with the entire house. They create a warm consistent atmosphere. All residents know what to expect. It frees us to be helpful to others, participate in activities and stay as well as possible. We feel like family.

After my husband passed away, I stayed in my home another year. This was not good as I was eating alone and watching TB or working crossword puzzles. Here at Venetian Gardens where I have made lots of friends and can have them to eat my meals with. I'm always playing cards or attending exercise classes. We have nice entertainments. By the way in two more months I will have lived here 10 years. Time has flown by. I'm contented.

The staff is excellent and helpful. The dining room is well organized and meals and service enjoyable. Games and entertainment excellent - also bus service, medical help Apartments well cleaned. I'm lucky to be home and have no complaints!!

I visited St. Gabriel's of Corpus Christi is hopes of moving my Mom closer to my family. I was told they are now under new management and have a lot of positive changes going on. One thing I really liked is that there is a nurse in the building around the clock, not just on call. This is important to me as my Mom sometimes has issues with her blood sugar. Having a nurse right there will help to lessen hospital visits. They also have menu choices even for memory care. I love that, sometimes food is so important to good health. The food looked amazing and I was able to see the menu for a whole month on my tour. The staff was so friendly, and they were all interacting with the Residents on their level and that made it feel so like home. The person giving me the tour was also able to give me resources on groups to help the family deal with Alzheimer's and was invited to a meeting they are having there. I also loved that all care in included in the price, that I only have to bring her personal items. This is a great savings and they offered to help me with her long term care paper work. I also love the fact that they only do memory care there. Residents were doing activities on their level in small groups which was a plus. There is also secure outside areas for them to garden if they would like. This experience made me feel more at ease on this journey. If all works out and my Mom moves I will choose St. Gabriel. You should check it out.

This is a beautiful community. The staff is welcoming and very involved with the Residents that live there. It feels like a home and not a facility. The Residents all look happy, and well cared for. The updates being made are amazing, more than expected. When the time come to make the move to memory care this is where I will choose. [Name removed]

[Name removed] did a wonderful job of taking us through the facility. Met with and had lunch with an ambassador couple who gave us a complete run down of the facility.

Director gave me a tour. Love this place too! Very warm & friendly. Even have music events here. My loved one would thoroughly enjoy that! Chef is very flexible and can accommodate unusual requests for residents. Hard to choose between this one and Paramount. Both are excellent.

This is the facility I chose. I was most impressed with the amount of time they spent with me. How prepared they were for my visit. They answered all my questions, they were up front and did a great job making me feel that [name removed] would be safe in their care.

Poets Walk has taken care of our Uncle until his passing last week. He was in independent living until mini strokes robbed him of his abilities to talk and communicate, a lot of his memory and ability take care of himself. We had nurses seeing hime 2x day but after a while he was too much of a fall risk hence the move to Poet's where he had 24 hr care available for his rehab and safety. The staff and rehab people kept trying to work with him until it was necessary to turn him over to Hospice care 5 months later. Hospice came in and worked the entire time with Poet's team to make sure that his last days there were comfortable as possible. They all took the heavy burden of worry off our shoulders so all we needed to do was visit with him and know that they were at first working with him so he was safe getting around, using his walker, eating well and being with others. When the time came, they all kept him comfortable. and attended to him and his hospice nurse was at his side when he passed. Thank you to all of you who cared for Al, he was a fine gentleman who lived his life well thanks to you.

Very pleased with Brookdale. The staff is very nice and caring. I’m thankful that they don’t over react with my Dad which helps me because he tends to do that. I can call them and they will go and calm him down so I don’t have to go up there at 6 am. They have worked with us and his pharmacy benefits so he’s able too keep our cost as low as possible. They have allowed me to plant his flowers and just treat us with dignity.

Workable. Will visit again and check out activities and dining Folks were very friendly. Had lovely outside areas for setting.

Living here is like living in a Classy Hotel. Plenty of TLC. When Management steps in to help when shorthanded, you know they have your best interest at heart.

I have nothing to add. So far so good for my mother.

The Bridges at Warwick is a beautiful place to live. The people that work there are just too good to be true. The food is delicious and there are a lot of fun activities and classes. My dad loves his apartment. He is safe, has autonomy and best of all he has friends (both with the residents and staff). I am thrilled that he is so happy and so grateful for the loving care he is given.

I want to thank everyone at Poets Walk Warrenton, VA for their professionalism, caring, and friendship afforded to my family. I knew on the very first visit when I toured the community that this would be the best place for Mom. The facility is clean, bright, and cheerful. It offers a safe environment, stimulating activities, and delicious food choices. The staff is engaging with the residents and their families making this difficult transition much less stressful. Mom continues to mention how nice everyone is and surprised by all of the activities available to her. I feel very confident that Mom is in good hands.

Brookdale was nice and warm and clean to a point..the memory care wing seemed to have a strange odor (maybe musty). It is like a hotel in a way..my third choice due to the fact that I saw very few people and was never able to see the activities centers in either area... staff was friendly and helpful and what I saw was welcoming, but I worry that mom would get lost in the expanse..I give it a 4 star..the costs were the lowest of the 4 places, but they were "al la carte" in the assisted living facility, but "all inclusive" in the memory care area

Atria Highland Crossing is amazing!! Staff knows everyone’s name, what they like, and is so attentive to personal needs. Activities are wonderful and very well managed for resident needs. Food is great...restaurant atmosphere. My mom is 94 and is happy there.
