I was looking for an assisted living facility for a family friend--my Mom and I are the closest thing to family that she has in the area. Benton House is lovely; it looks fairly new and everything was really clean. I like the amenities and how friendly everyone was. Benton House would have been my first choice, but my friend has limited financial resources, and the price at Benton House was a little more than I think she can afford.

I moved my dad from upstate New York down to the Benton house in Woodstock Georgia to be closer to me. They were great right from the start. They set them up with a one bedroom part fully furnished for 30 days which I had not expected and was stressing about getting him all situated so quickly. The two women who run the place are fantastic (would love to provide their names for recognition was advised no names can be in this review.). They are very helpful and very, very responsive with every request we’ve made. The entire staff is friendly, they keep a close eye on my dad, they do a good job cleaning his room but my is a little bit messy so I wish they would sweep up the crumbs a little bit more often. They wash his clothes weekly and return them nicely folded and he enjoys his meals and camaraderie in the dining room every day. They genuinely seem to care. I would highly recommend this facility to anyone wanting to ensure their loved one as well cared for.

The staff is all wonderful and have been great as I live out of state. Always receptive and helpful when I call. Food seems to be an issue according to my mom in regards to variety. Yet, trying to please all residents is a challenge. I do wish I had an opportunity to communicate with staff via email yet can call.

All the staff have been very communicative with me since I don't live close. The nurse, director and assistant director have all been great. Being that it is smaller, all on 1 floor and in a quiet area made it a more attractive. Also, the residents were all out of their rooms engaging with other residents and staff. We toured other places where no one was out of their rooms. Based on the experience we have had so far with Benton House of Lenexa we would absolutely recommend this community to other families

I truly can’t say enough good things about Benton House of Lenexa. Every department in this assisted living is top notch. Starting with [name removed], the marketing director, she has a heart of gold & truly cares & knows about each resident. She & the activities director, [name removed]decorate for each holiday, keeping the already lovely facility, festive and fun. [name removed] organizes a wide variety of activities that keep my Mom engaged & having fun. They go on outings every Wednesday. The physical therapy team is top notch also. My mom has some definite physical disabilities & the physical therapy team has been providing the type of treatment & assessment that I have been looking for . The facility Dr. and nursing staff are in regular communication with me & treat my mom with dignity. They talk to her, instead of talking to me. The Director is kind & generous and wears lots of different hats . The housekeeping is done regularly & with a smile. My mom truly likes living here. Definitely look here

This is a community that is close to family to visit our loved one. The staff are very friendly and they know the entire family by name. My loved one seems to be happy here. The staff communication with the family is good and they are responsive to our questions or concerns. There are three meals a day and there are choices to choose from.

We loved Benton House of Lenexa. I liked the looks of it - it was very clean, which was very important to Mom. And it was a very friendly place. I thought it was very nice overall. Mom really liked it, but it was too far out from our preferred location.

We had an amazing tour experience at Benton House Woodstock. If we were placing our father and not our mother, this would have been our first choice in a heartbeat. There were more men here that were active in memory care. All of the men seemed happy and like they were thriving.

We toured Benton House Woodstock and it was a fantastic facility, with wonderful staff. We chose another community because Benton House felt more like a facility than a home, which is what we wanted for our loved one.

We really really liked Benton House Woodstock and wanted to put our loved one here. Unfortunately they do not do thickened liquids and that is what he needed, so that is the reason we had to go with a different facility.

We liked the community. The community didn't have a studio apartment available that we were looking for for our loved one at the time.

I love that it is all on one level and relatively small, there are only about 56 apartments. I like that it is smaller because the staff get to know the residents better. It is also very bright and does not feel sad or dark. The location is nestled amongst neighborhoods and a city park is next door so it does not feel so commercial, it feels more homey purely based on where it is located. They are on the more reasonable end out of the places that we looked into. The space is great for the money, she is in a studio deluxe. I do think they could be a little better with their scheduling, they don't really stick to it very well which can be frustrating. I would for sure recommend Benton House of Lenexa to others looking.

If I have to go anywhere I would want to go to this community. My loved one was not here for long at all but I knew by the way that I was treated that this is the place to be. They have a dementia care team that comes in specifically for the residents. They are well trained staff and have the best training. If someone is looking for care I would for sure take a look at this community. I like how this community is set up. They have a lot of rooms that face the courtyard that is outside and the memory care unit also has an outside courtyard.

This community is a good value. They have activities like entertainment, work outs, games and more for the participants to do to stay busy.

We chose Benton House of Grayson because of the alignment of value system and also I was able to see how they care for their community. My mother is in the memory care unit and the staff are all very responsive and we are very happy with the quality of care that she is getting. The staff, especially the management staff is great. They know who I am and really personalize things and help you to integrate into the community. It is a lot of money, but I am getting what I am paying for.

Benton House is a very nice place, it was our second choice. They let us come in and do an in person tour even during covid which we appreciated. They just did not seem as focused on the individual and what they needed and it was also more expensive.
