The nurses are polite but they judge when people put up a fuss. They are not helpful and sometimes act inappropriately. The staff don't greet you but you can ask for information and they will answer you. It could be cleaner. His table is always dirty when he is eating. I cleaned his closet out and his clothes had mildew on them.

The rehab therapy seems quite well. The nursing care is good. He seems to like the meals but sometimes he is not sure of what he is eating. He does not like to ask for help and it does take a while to get help him.

[Name removed] was fantastic. However, the facility feels a little tired and worn down. Only a small patio out back (filled with smokers...) for "outdoor" space. Food was so-so.

My mother is a resident in the assisted living side. She has a nice one bedroom space, with a small kitchenette. She has been on the independent living side also. The space at this place is great; large, lots of storage, and well laid out. She is now getting assistance with her meds, which seems to be going well. However. The food here is the quality of a marginal diner. The service is largely grudging, with a few actually trying to interact with residents. Personal hygiene of the staff, optional. Front desk staff, variable. Prepare for rude indifference. Since I am an old child of an older parent, I guess I look like I could live there. Recently, only one bright, capable woman treated me with some interest and respect. I don’t like the idea that old people might not interest the staff...!Not Finally, although there is a level of cleaning provided, it appears to involve partially emptying trash, and vacuuming the middle of the carpet. The bathroom floor was very dirty, under the bed (even a little way) and other stuff was dirty, too. Unfortunately, I live several hours away and can’t run down at will. Normally, my sister steps in and keeps up, but she has been ill, which means this time we see how it would go if there was no or little family support. Conclusion, this place isn’t awful, but compared to a few years ago, it’s disappointing. Since staff reflects management, I’m guessing the problem lies at the top. After all, its hard to expect the best from people who make low wages, who’s clientele can be difficult, and who are unsupported with training, enough staffing, and good working conditions.

We're not needing assisted care at this point. A smaller-sized facility, so probably not suited to our specific needs at this time.

First choice based on my tour. Lunch appointment went very well with my dad. I like the apartment layout, the food, staff and interactions of the residents. He gave a deposit to hold the room. Meanwhile we chose another community to have a comparison.

My mother was there at Prestige Senior Living Orchard Heights for only a month before she ended up in the hospital. We are now in the process of moving her somewhere else as the level of care she needs is more than what they provide. It was a very clean place, and they were always very nice and friendly with mom. Their communication, however, has not been too great. None of them call me back when they say they will.

It was just very emotional for me to put my mother there. I think the staff could be a little more professional and not so much kidding around. They shouldn't have personal talks. My mother very seldom has her clothes on and I see other people walking around with her clothes on. Her costume jewelry is missing. The snacks I bring her go missing. I also think the bathrooms should be cleaned more. My overall rating is 3 stars.

it is a very clean place but the turn over is high the commincation things get missed...i would like more games parking is easy the food is well you can eat it its not the food in town but it is ok but the over all i would highly recommend to other famlies the staff is very nice to talk to and the people there are nice..

My Mother lived at Southern Hills for about 8 weeks. I found the facility to be pleasant and efficient. I was happy with the results of any request that I made of the staff. My Mother did complain quite often about the food. Mom did not settle well with an Assisted Living environment, I think it was more of an issue with Mom rather than the facility.

June 2 tour. Larger facility, similar to Meadowlark but with more going on. I liked the monthly 'themes'. Rep knew patients, spoke to those in Memory Care side very lovingly. The 1-bedroom was very nice. Possibly too busy for Dad.

Their carpets needed cleaning a month ago. There are spots on them and they stink. The management of that place, the ownership, needs to be scolded. I think it's a little overpriced. I can go to a complete care facility as cheap as that place. I really like Bobbi who is their nurse type gal. She's a really nice gal. They just need to do a little better on the clean up department. I'm there every other day and the housekeeping is not great.

When my mom and dad moved there it was absolutely the right place for them. They had all the activities that they needed and my mom was quite involved in those. She started having some issues with falling down and walking and they just weren't giving her the care she needed. I don't believe they really paid attention to her diet so her insulin and blood sugar were kind of on a roller coaster. When she started falling they weren't really around to know why she was falling. They started keeping her in her room and not letting her participate in the activities anymore because they weren't staffed to give her the care she needed. During that time her health went from walking and participating to sitting in her room by herself and not being able to eat on her own.

Very disappointed in the service in assisted living as it was very inconsistent. Seemed short staffed and lack of communication and administrative follow through. I will say, everyone is very nice. Failed to provide in room meal service when ill. Had difficulty getting to and from dining area as help was needed. Sometimes there was no response to the call button. That happened more times than I can remember. Service in dinning room often slow. Seems like leftovers are served from the prior day's meal very often. I have heard that the food is getting better. The independent living is much much better as you need little service. The cleaning service was minimal. Counters left sticky, towels not washed every week. There is a huge turnover in cleaning staff. Maintenance provides the best service in the building. Nick is so nice and responds to your apartment concerns promptly.

Really like Melinda, the Sales Manager here. She has followed up w/me several times trying to get someone to come and take a tour. I would like K to check this place out. Pricing starts at $2,490 for no level of care studio. $375 extra/mo give 15 hrs of assistance/mo-level one care.

Bridgewood seemed older than some I visited, and not quite as nice. I didn't like the floor plans as well; and they would need to move if they entered independent living and needed assisted. There were alot of trees next to the building. The independent meal plan only included 1 meal/day. None of the apartments had washer/dryers. It was dinner time, so I only met one resident. He was in a bad mood. And I felt more like I was being "sold" -- I had 3 people talking to me at one time. They really wanted a decision and deposit "now".
