Older residence. remodeling in progress. No odors, elders seemed calm and content. Staff nice. Not too many people. Bright colors. Individual heat/cold settings. Small kitchenette. Chef.

They did not have a good activites coordinator. There were changes in staff. It's a good palce for those that need a lot of assistance. They very gracious about the transition, after my loved one left.

Sadly I have not good things to say,Intially things were good but there has been many staff changes and not for the better, My Aunts clothes disappear all the time ,her diapers ,toothpaste etc disappear ,her clothes are all shrunk .i buy new clothes each time I visit and nothing is there when I come back . There was a good activities director [name removed] who organized many outings etc but she has gone,No nail outings anymore.

I have visited my ex husband there and I have found it wanting. My son and his wife have too. My have complained that they go over there an he has not been showered, his nails are too long, hair is not done, and he has not been shaved. I was there a couple of weeks ago and I was not pleased. The director of the place as just left this past week so I don't know how things are going to go from here. They say they ask him and he won't shower. If you're paying for that care, then you shower him. He needs to have better than they are giving him as far as I'm concerned. One of the reasons that Jenni-Lynn was chosen was because of the price.

I hate to say negative, it's because my situation may not be like other people's. I believe they tried to get [name removed]up to go to activities, but she wouldn't go. She complained that the dining room was very cold and it was they didn't seem to answer the button when she would call for help, but maybe they were busy. I don't know. It's hard getting real answers from someone that has dementia after she fell and broke her pelvis and then fell again and broke her left arm. They couldn't handle it any longer and I needed to get her more help so we left and went to [community removed] and then over to [community removed]

Staff is friendly when you are looking at place but things change once you sign and move loved one in. They don't have activities like they said they would have. The rooms have showers but they don't seem to use them but instead take them to a room they use for everyone. This wasn't something they told us. Also they didn't take care of loved ones toenails or fingernails which we had signed up for and asked them to monitor. I wish I had known more when I was looking. It is such a hard time and you do your best. These places tend to make everything look great when you visit but change after your loved one is there and you are signed up. Make sure to visit different times and when they aren't expecting you.

My loved one was previously a resident at Oaks at Evans and the overall experience for us at this facility was poor. Communication with the family was non existent. The staff was cruel, at best. The care services were terrible. Based on our experience, I would not recommend Oaks at Evans to others.

I would not recommend. A few of the staff are caring and attentive. The facility is clean and nicely decorated.However there are several techs who continue to give routine meds instead of stopping to medicate a patient who is nauseated and painful....

My family and loved one didn't have the best experience with the community. Everyone seemed friendly. The activities for the residents were almost nonexistent. This was disappointing along with meals. We would recommend you ask lots of questions about the care, resident to staff ratio, to see an activity calendar, and a menu for meals. Overall, make sure all of your questions are answered prior to making a decision on a community.

We toured with Jenni-Lynn and the residents were more like assisted living not independent, they needed a lot more care. And the décor was very dated. It was depressing.

I had a scheduled tour at Jenni-Lynn, but no one was there to greet me when I walked in the door. I waited about 15 minutes. Still no one came to see what I needed, so I had to go find someone to help me. The man who ended up giving the tour didn't even invite me to sit down. He talked with me standing up the whole time, which I thought was odd. I had to ask to see a room. The facility was much older than others we looked at. It just wasn't the place for us.

Nice community and good pricing. We thought it could use a renovation.

Jenni-Lynn was the first place that I wrote off immediately. The facility is very outdated and needs a lot of renovations. It also just smelled like an old folks home. It was not going to be a good fit for my loved one.

My mom was only here for ten months . She was there during the lockdown and staff came to work with Covid and were not practicing safety measures. I’i can’t recommend village cove . Very dated and dirty. Director is a total incompetent. Very unfriendly and not attentive to the needs of the families. Their nurse practitioner was amazing . Staff was difficult to reach and over worked and under staffed.

I would say to find another community for your loved one. We ended up moving our loved one out of the community. There was personal property stolen from our loved one. The staff didn't inform me of a change in medical condition. The communication between the community and families wasn't what it should have of been. My loved one's hair was cut by another resident in the community.

We look at this facility a year or two or ago a parking is an issue and narrow hall ways

My mom has her days when she likes being here and other times she needs that extra encouragement so that she does not just stay in her bed all day. Sometimes my mom's memory is an issue and the staff is working with her and us to make sure she gets the care or help she needs there. She does like some of the activities there it's just getting her to take part and she does enjoy going to the dining room with the other residents. One thing we really liked about this community when we did our tour was that they were up front about the fees and volunteered additional information about letting us know that they would alway inform us off if there were any additional fee that could arise due to our mother's care.

My mom is okay living her but we are not satisfied. She is wet a lot and that is a big concern for us. They need to change her more frequently.

Since Brookdale took over from Emeritus, several trusted staff members have left (don't know if this was by choice or if they were let go.) Transition period continues after well over 6 months. Staff is short-handed, meals are very inconsistent, with meager portions becoming more and more common. Nursing assistants end up serving meals and helping in the kitchen. To top things off, they are raising their rates as of January 2016. After more than two years, we are looking at other options.

This is for the Assisted living side. They didn't really take care of my loved one. Personal Hygiene was out the window, and I was really upset. They told me they could take care of my loved one. We would complain and they would do nothing. They were in a transition period. They did that job, and that was it, just a bare minimum.
