We chose The Groves at Oak Ridge because we had just moved here and it was the first place we found. The room sizes here are very small. I have eaten here are the food is just ok. I would not recommend this community to others. I would tell others that if you have a loved one in here, watch them closely.

Concord Place is a warm and friendly facility. I'm not sure it's the place for my mom but my visit was a positive experience.

I moved my mother here in April 2017. The staff has been extremely friendly and helpful. The care so far has also been very good. The biggest complaint is the food. Believe they are trying to fix that but so far, in general, the food has been pretty terrible. Also, the facility could use an update. New furniture in the living room would add a lot. New carpeting also would make a big difference. I might suggest a few more \group outings. Besides that, the new director and other staff members are working very hard to make life nice for very old people! "

Eccentricities of my loved one contributed to the situation. However, my person often received minimal care. Meals were brought to the room (extra charge) but dirt dishes were often not picked up until the next day. I reported a "gnat" problem in the bathroom sink but no action was ever taken and so I did it myself. My loved one was on the morning "list" for housekeeping. No accommodations of timing was made for my loved one's sleeping late so often. Cleaning of her room was skipped that week. I personally cleaned the room from time to time. The RA's and staff were friendly for the most part and loved one interacted with them. Because a medical condition required more care, loved one moved to memory care unit. Conflicting information was given regarding the requirements for staying there, and I felt no attempts were made to help improve the situation for loved one. I am aware of others who feel their care is very good at this facility, but I feel it was only adequate for our family member. The nurse practitioner for "in house" medical services was difficult to communicate with about loved one's conditions. In retrospect, a primary care physician outside the facility would have served our family better.

I had an okay tour of this community. The experience went well, and our tour was pretty nice. I was looking into memory care options for my father, and his needs. Also assisted living for my mother. The memory care portion they showed me wasn't very appealing. There wasn't much of an outside area for the memory residents. Everyone was very nice to my family, and I, but I did find another community that met our needs better.

So far it has been a pretty good experience for my mother here at this community. She is still adjusting, but I know she is in good hands. I have had a few concerns, but they are willing to work with me regarding anything. Overall it is a nice community. It is still a work progress, but she is in good hands here.

All I can really say right now about the Brookdale Hilton Head Court facility is that I am happy with the treatment that my loved one is receiving from them at this moment. I am happy with the care that they are providing.

We just toured that location over the holidays, and it was good. The gal that was going to give the tour was not there but they did follow up . Overall it wasn't a good fit for mom.

This was for Clemmons Village I. They had a huge turnover of their staff, and a lot of the girls were really young and inexperienced. Everyone was always very nice to me, and I couldn't put my finger on anything really wrong, but she was never really happy here. They had a terrible time with medication. Outwardly it's very nice, and I couldn't really tell you what the issue was, but I know a lot of people have left and are leaving now. They also just raised the price.

Medicaid Rooms Dining area wasn't very nice.

Nice facility, food smelled wonderful. My concern is that the common areas were great and a nice sunroom, however the rooms seemed very dark. Even a 2 bedroom with no doors just had very small sitting area with no windows. That really puts this loc on hold.

Nice but room prices were all over the place and no reason that they could explain. Pretty setting and close to stores and Drs. Small rooms. Will check out there other place next week.

I didn't have a warm and welcoming feeling after entering the facility. The director told us the common areas were going to be redone. Didn't like the size of the dining room. The director and the nurse were very nice. Parking was a nightmare.

They're trying but there are things that I wish were different. It's a smaller, newer facility that just isn't as good as the last place she was. Of course i'm not going to get all the same things because I'm paying less here, I realize that, but there seems to be no where for me to go with her when I go see her. She is in a semi private room which is only big enough for two twin beds and two chests. You can't even put a folding chair in there. There's just no room. If she's not in her room she's in the dining are or they're lined up outside the dining room. There's a large room with the TV but I have to take her out of the memory care unit to get there. They've changed the code and they wont tell us what it is so you have to find someone to open the door. I know they have their reasons but it's a pain in the neck. I'm hoping that changes. My main concern is there is nowhere for the two of us to spend time together. There's the front porch on the rockers (but it's not the right time of year for that) or the main lobby which is not private. It's not what I was used to. The people are very nice and their mood is always good. They seem to treat my mother very well. I don't think they're doing anything really wrong. She seems to be eating well. I don't have any earth shattering complaints, but I do wish some things were different.

A nice small community.

More of what dad is looking for - 2 rooms; offers sliding scale for insulin. Must provide furnishings {bed/bedding/towels, lamps, tv, phone, night stand, etc)
