so many of my questions were answered before arriving at this wonderful Facility. The residents are very friendly and happy. Met nurse, who is very nice also.

The Groves has a very pleasant, caring staff. The facilities are nice and my mother is happy here. The nursing staff is good. [Name removed] is excellent. The food quality could stand improvement. I think the kitchen staff does well with what they are provided.

They pay attention to mom, and are kind and patient with her. They respond quickly when she pushes her emergency button. The first thing we noticed when we visited was that the facility felt homelike and friendly. There were always residents and staff in the hallways. Basically I appreciate the consistent and positive care mom receives.

Based on my virtual tour, everything looked okay here. My one concern was how much the executive director had on her plate. She seemed to be very dedicated and loyal. She was very patient, engaging, and knowledgeable. And she answered all of my questions. But she did so many things, what would happen if she weren’t there? That seemed like a lot for one person to manage. When I addressed that with her, she said she felt good about that, because to her that means quality control. She can observe everything and handle anything that comes up accordingly.

When we were able to go in the community and visit it was always kept clean, and the friendliness of the staff members is always good. Sometimes our loved one does complain about the food, but when it comes to the activities she really enjoys getting out of her room and participating in them.

St Ives has a caring and diligent staff that carefully monitors seniors with memory issues. They communicate well with guardians and family and have done an admirable job protecting residents from the Covid pandemic. It was the caring of strength of the staff that earned our business and I can recommend them very highly to you and your family.

I would like to tell a great success story, regarding my 93 year old Mom's progress since breaking her leg in Jan this year. Going from independent living to the hospital for surgery, to a rehab facility and ending up at Ivy Hall Assisted Living the end of Feb. When she first got to Ivy Hall, she was on a catheter and could not put weight on the leg she broke until March. She required 3 aides to assist her during that time. Once she was able to put weight on that leg, she started going to [name removed], the PT person at Ivy Hall. [name removed] got Mom to eventually walk again. As she continued getting stronger, she required less assistance from the aides and is now down to one aide a day, which helps her with her shower and getting her bra and top on. Mom has difficulty with this due to both shoulders being dislocated. Her goal, all this time at Ivy Hall, was to get stronger and walk well so she can move back to independent living. I have to say I'm nervous about this move, since she's being so well taken care of at Ivy Hall. But my Mom is a very stubborn woman and when she gets her mind set on something, there's no changing it. So I would like to thank all the staff at Ivy Hall for the wonderful job they have done while Mom was a resident there. I would recommend this facility for anyone out there having to make a decision regarding their loved ones.

If you want a home for your loved one this is it! The atmosphere is welcoming and the staff can’t be beat. They genuinely care for each resident and strive to make sure all of their needs are met. They serve a wide variety of food and it is delicious! They offer enough different activities to ensure everyone has something to choose from that they will enjoy. Holidays are celebrated with gusto including special meals and decorations. The staff have went above and beyond to protect the residents during this pandemic and still was able to maintain a sense of community.

Have had a family member at Village Cove on Hilton Head for two years and am extremely pleased with the community director, nursing staff, maintenance manager, and community care givers. I have recommended Village Cove to personal contacts and do not hesitate doing so. The staff is very caring and personable with the residents and responsive to family inquiries/needs and keeps family members well informed. Hurricane evacuations have been well planned and executed and the staff has handled the difficulties associated with COVID in an appropriate and sensitive manner.

My 92 year old Mother has lived at what is now Village Cove since the day after Labor Day, 2014, and loves it! She says the food is “always good and never greasy”. She also loves all the staff over the years, and said ‘Big [name removed]’ makes her happy when she hears him singing as he’s walking by. She is convinced he can fix anything and truly keeps the place running well. She especially likes the fact that now the staff can call the residents by their first names and it makes her feel like they’re family. She actually just mentioned that today when I visited. And she really thinks that [name removed], the activities director is so sweet and nice and makes the days fun. I never worry about how she is doing because I know know they take great care of her and I truly appreciate that, especially during these times!!

The team at Village Cove have been extremely helpful from the initial meeting, through move-in and my dads first month. Great communication both email and via phone. Super friendly and willing to assist in any way.

My father lived at Medlock Homes in Decatur. It was referred by A Place for Mom. We did not live in State so this was a big decision on our part. Best decision we ever made. He always felt comfortable. The place is so clean and all the staff makes you feel welcome when you come. For my father it was like living in a home and not a hotel, he never complained. I can't recommend them enough.

Friendly and knowledgeable staff. Welcoming environment and decor. Peace of mind knowing your family is being given the best care and attention. Interaction with others, activities and great food. The staff is always so welcoming and engages with the family members during visits. We could not pick a better facility for our family member. They love and care for her as if she is a member of their own family.

Athens Place is in my opinion the best Assisted Living Community in our area. Staff, facilities, food are excellent. The atmosphere is a loving, sincere, caring one that flows over to the residents. My mom is nearing her first anniversary there. We could not be more pleased.

Almost one year ago our family had to make a decision that has proved to be one of the best decisions ever. My mom moved into Athens Place last April. Athens Place has delivered on every promise they made to us and kept their word on each and every statement. We will be forever grateful that the folks at Athens Place love and care for our mom as if she were their own. Highly recommend every area of this community.

I have been very pleased with the care my loved one has received at Brookdale. The staff really goes out of their way to make the residents comfortable and respected. I go there pretty often, so I feel confident of her care. I would recommend Brookdale to anyone looking for an assisted living residence to trust.

My loved one is a new resident of the memory care area. I have been pleased with my loved one's physical care, a challenge because most there need a lot of assistance. I wish there were more attempts to engage residents in activities both physical and cognitively. The RA's however, for the most part have been very caring, smiling and laughing so important to all.

From what I saw in my tour, this is a lovely facility! It was beautiful and the people there seem nice. In the end, we did not choose it simply because of personal location preferences, but I would have been very happy placing my loved one here!

My friend has been living at Brookdale for over a year and I continue to be impressed. The staff have gone above and beyond in helping resolve any problems that have occurred. From the executive director, nurses, resident assistants and other staff, I get a genuine feeling of warmth and caring and all the residents seem to be well taken care of, I know my friend is. Activities, day trips, exercise groups, family nights, and even a committee where residents can voice any concerns they have add to Brookdale being the place my friend wants to stay. I am there at least twice a week so have had several opportunities to see interaction with staff, residents, volunteers and family members. My friend has told me on several occasions that she feels like they love her like family. That, along with the overall atmosphere of Brookdale gives me much relief in knowing my friend is safe and happy as possible.
