Our loved one seems to be adjusting very well. We're on good terms with everyone there. They're very welcoming whenever we arrive. There's always someone we can speak to if we have any questions, and they always answer us promptly. Someone will call us on the day of occurrence if there's any incident with our loved one. And they have a lot of activities.

I toured with Concord Place and it seemed like a nice facility. They did a good job of showing me around and answering my questions I had. I wish I could just drop in instead of having to make a tour appointment - I feel you relly get to see what it is like if you can just drop in. This facility was more expensive which was why we did not go with them.

I thought Concord Place looked nice overall. However, they did not seem to have adequate staff coverage. Their caregiver to resident ratio was on the low side of the places we toured (I believe they said 2 caregivers for every 50 residents). The facility was also smaller and a lot more expensive than other places we toured.

I thought The Oaks at Evan was nice enough, but it was more expensive and the room was smaller than the place we chose.

Even though my Mom has been there for a short period of time we feel sssooo happy that she has found a wonderful place with good employees that truly care for the customers. For those thinking of placing a loved one in assisted living look no further. I was scared, nervous and filled with guilt. But the staff has eased my fears and calmed my nerves and lifted the guilt. [Name removed] and [name removed] (ALL THE STAFF) are aces??????

We are very satisfied with The Gardens in Statesville, NC. Staff are great! Good nourishing meals.

We are grateful and satisfied and she is safe and happy. The staff has been very responsive, and very friendly. The staffing does seem to be understaffed at times but are doing best possible with situation at hand.

We went with Concord place because immediately it felt very friendly and homey and we felt comfortable. Even the residents who we interacted were very friendly. It is a smaller facility so the care is more personal. They meals are chef prepared and they also have a menu set that is put out everyday. They give them a month of menus on the wall, but sometimes it changes. They have tons of activities provided such as they plant flowers, they watch movies, play cornhole, bingo, entertainment comes in, etc. My mom said she gets tired because she wants to do it all and staff are super encouraging to get everyone to take part. Overall we have been very pleased so far and she is doing great here.

We chose Jenni-Lynn because I felt like they were a good facility and when we compared them to others we looked at, the value for the money was comparable. The activities are great and they seem to have a lot of them. They have 2 front people [name removed] and [name removed] and they are extremely nice. I would recommend to others looking.

Permanent staff are extremely kind and caring. They are also very busy. Part-time staff can be good and bad. My relative complains of poor cafeteria style food. Downhill since change of ownership. She tries not to complain, so when something goes wrong it can be unnoticed for a long time. I think she needs a little more personal attention on a daily basis.

This was a very nice facility, we did a virtual tour. My loved one did not need the level of care they were offering. If we needed assisted living we would have chosen here.

A lot of our time there was still during lockdown limitations. My loved one had a room to himself, which was a plus. That allowed us to go in the room with him to visit. The staff were very nice people, but they needed more staff, just like every place else right now. They do not offer skilled nursing, which we knew at the time, but we were reaching that point before my loved one passed. There was not a lot of communication regarding his decline in health. We had to show up and see it for ourselves. They did reach out if there was an emergency. If he fell, they would call me and tell me he was on his way to the ER. But they never told me he wasn't eating, things like that. And then they weren't feeding him either, since that was another level of care. I would have liked for them to communicate and convey that information to us. I also would have liked to see them try to encourage him to participate in the activities. We tried when we were there. Hindsight is 20/20, but I would probably use them again if I had to. I would just be a little more proactive, knowing what I know now.

Jenni-Lynn has a very homey and cozy feeling to it which really stood out to us. We would recommend this community to others.

Our initial contact was very good and the Admissions explained the process well, and walked us through getting my father a room. He was there only a week when he was sent to the hospital. In the long run this was good, however, he was sent without any contact to me. In the long run, because he is a veteran and needed to go to a VA hospital, it cost us thousands of dollars unnecessarily. Had this situation not occurred, I would have been able to give a full rating We were unable to observe all categories.

Our family really likes that Concord Place is a smaller community.

Loved that it was a small place. Was friendly. Scheduled for renovations to common areas this summer, but even without was friendly and staff seemed caring and knew the residents.

This community is for more advanced stages of memory care. The Communication between the staff and the family was very good but mostly done with emails and texts and there was a disconnect between the spouse due to the technology. I would like to see a better way for communication for folks who are technically safe. I would recommend this community to others.

My Mother has been at Medlock for almost 4 years. She is on her way to 100 years old. Medlock is like living in a small mansion. It has all the amenities you would like those you love to have. Moreover, the extra care during the pandemic made us confident that Mom was getting good care. Medlock was strict on visitation protocols and we appreciated that even though it was stressful not to be able to be less than 6 feet away. Congratulations to Medlock for getting us through the pandemic and back to visitation WITH a tad bit more freedoms during visitation.
