Loved that it was a small place. Was friendly. Scheduled for renovations to common areas this summer, but even without was friendly and staff seemed caring and knew the residents.

This community is for more advanced stages of memory care. The Communication between the staff and the family was very good but mostly done with emails and texts and there was a disconnect between the spouse due to the technology. I would like to see a better way for communication for folks who are technically safe. I would recommend this community to others.

My Mother has been at Medlock for almost 4 years. She is on her way to 100 years old. Medlock is like living in a small mansion. It has all the amenities you would like those you love to have. Moreover, the extra care during the pandemic made us confident that Mom was getting good care. Medlock was strict on visitation protocols and we appreciated that even though it was stressful not to be able to be less than 6 feet away. Congratulations to Medlock for getting us through the pandemic and back to visitation WITH a tad bit more freedoms during visitation.

The majority of Assisted Living facilities have experienced trauma on some level during the COVID pandemic. It did not have to be if we had received truthful and strong leadership. Medlock Gardens had stringent protocols beginning in [date removed]. Medlock's staff brought the facility through this pandemic with very few losses. The staff took excellent care of its residents. It did not willy nilly rush them off to hospitals and cared for them on site in a professional but caring way. My Mother is 97 and she was the recipient of that attention. She survived and we are appreciative. She has been at Medlock about 4 years, It is like a home. The dining is like a 3 star restaurant....table cloths and silver.

During the two months our loved one was there they kept the community very clean. The staff members were very friendly and gave our loved one his medicine on time, but unfortunately our loved one just required more skilled care than what the community was able to handle. When it came to the meals, they were certainly adequate, but the food was in a routine so some weeks the food was great and other weeks not so great. Surprisingly our loved one went to more activities than we thought. He especially loved the happy hour. For the two months he was there and the services we needed, we would say the value was worth it for that time.

We chose Ivy Hall because of the value for the money as well as the availability. The communication has not been what I would have hoped for, especially with not being able to go inside. Overall, I would maybe recommend them, it is just hard since we have not been able to go visit.

We chose The Groves at Oak Ridge because I felt the most comfortable here and the location as well. Her room size is fine for her needs. We have had some issues with communication with some of the nursing staff with my moms medication refills. Overall, they truly do care about their residents and try really hard. I know my mom is healthy and safe in here and I would recommend to others looking.

The Medtech send daily caregivers took good care of my dad daily. They did the best they could. However, due to covid-19 we were only allowed to visit with him through a window. I think his final decline was from lack of touch from loved ones (his wife). When essential workers [name removed] was allowed inside the building, the director [name removed] told the barber to shave my dad's head without permission from me or my mom. My dad has never shaved his head! When we first put dad in St Ives we told the director that Dad did not have prescription insurance. That he received all his prescribed drugs through the VA. We were told that his drugs had to go through Guardian Pharmacy. There for a $3,000 bill was run up. Right before dad died, someone at Guardian had the smarts to recommend that dad's drugs needed to go through the VA. So I would say, that when a new resident is coming in, that the director should listen to the loved ones and consider that the VA is involved in veterans care. Had the director listened to us we would not have the a $3,000 Pharmacy bill left to pay. Needless to say this just infuriates me and I feel like we were bullied into a situation that could have been prevented.

We think this community is very clean, we have been very happy with the care services provided. Our loved one doesn't always participate, but from our understanding the activities are fine. Having looked at a number of places, what stood out to us most was that it didn't feel cooperate. It felt more like a home, and the meals the serve the residents are fine.

My mother was on the memory care side, we had a very good experience from the top management all the way down. The staff members here are very caring. It seemed like sometimes they were a little bit understaffed though. The room sizes were good, they were all private rooms here unlike some others we looked into. I think they could have had more activities. Overall I would recommend Concord Place.

My mom has been at Village Cove for just over 2 years now, and I am very happy with the care she is receiving. She was fairly independent until recently, and enjoyed the activities and structure. She needs some extra care now, and the staff has been very kind to her! They are available to talk to me when the need arises, and are responsive to my requests.

So appreciative of the care & concern during this pandemic! Know this is hard on our loved ones, but every little activity helps! Thanks!

My mom has lived at Village Cove for several years. The wonderful care she receives brings me great comfort knowing she is in great hands. She feels as if the staff there is her extended family. So grateful for this sweet community.

My wife was at St Ives for a short period of time because initially she had a roommate. Then the roommate moaned as night so my wife couldn't sleep. the roommate then passed away and this traumatized my wife and she was not happy and wanted to leave. St ives allowed us to cancel our contract and I moved my wife to another facility that was closer to my family.

Very good; good services and caring staff.

The staff at Brookdale Oak Ridge have made my mom feel special. Everyone on staff knows the residents names and makes a point to interact with them. There are lots of activities and outings. Laura, the social director does a great job of encouraging folks to join in her fun activities. Also, having an exercise room and PT space onsite is very helpful.

I have seen an improvement in my mother since moving here. The staff has been working with her with various things and in doing that she seems to be improving. The staff is wonderful very kind, and patient and very accommodating. The community is clean and well kept. I have never personally eaten here but when I visit mostly it is at dinner time and the food smells and looks very good. The dining area is setup like a restaurant there are menus on the table to order off of. There are normally 2 settings.

We thought this was a nice looking community when we visited. The staff we met were friendly. This community seems to offer a lot of activities and special events. This community did not have openings when we visited.

Other than a billing issue we are currently having everything else is working out well. My father is enjoying his time in this community. He has made some new friends, and has gotten involved in the community with some of the activities they offer. The meals are good, he is pleased with the food. They do a good job with the cleanliness. Everything is working out well, and this is a community I would recommend.

This move is working out very well for my father in law. He is doing great, and everything has worked out very well. We are satisfied with all they have done for our family. He is safe, and in good hands. The staff is kind, and helpful when needed. The only thing he isn't crazy about are the meals. Other than that issue, they do offer nice activities for the residents. This is a community I would recommend, it has worked out well for us.
