My mother likes Sterling House because of the size, and the residents and staff are so friendly. She felt very comfortable when she went for the first visit. I am happy to know that she is being well cared for and likes her new room. My mother loves to be around people and making new friends. Sterling House has been a blessing for her and me, knowing she is comfortable and happy is all I was hoping for her.

They're doing some remodeling right now but they're doing a really good job of keeping dust down while they do that. We looked at 7 or 8 in the area. Price was part of the decision making process and it's a smaller facility. I don't think my father would do well with a real large community. We did respite as a trial. He stayed there for two weeks and when we came back he said that's where he wanted to stay. If they don't see you, they come check on you and get you out of your room. It used to be a Holiday Inn but they've done a really nice job of converting it. If you get a two room you have a sitting room and you ended up with two bathrooms because they took two motel rooms and opened up the doorway between them. Because it was a Holiday Inn, the rooms were decidedly different, much larger than all the other room that we were looking at.

Mom had been living alone and on her own for over 33 years. She is 94 now and experiencing difficulty with her walking and taking care of herself and wanted to move into assisted living if possible. We checked into 7different assisted living facilities in the Sheboygan area and we found that Harmony of Sheboygan West fillfulled her needs. She has a lovely room with bathroom and large wardrobe. The staff are super friendly and helpful in every way. Whatever mom needs they are there to help her out. The meals are verry good according to mom and the facility is very neat and clean. There are activities for all who want to participate both at Harmony East and Harmony West. Mom has lived there since August 19th and couldn't be happier. I asked her if she missed her old apartment and her reply was "NO...this is my home now"! We couldn't be happier as her family who worried about her living on her own. Thank you Harmony...Job well done.

At first I wasn't sure I had made the best move for my folks, but I know now that I did. They have made a 180 degree change. It will still take some time, but, there has been a huge difference since the 1st day we moved in. This community really does care about their residents. It isn't a job to these people, it is their passion to make their residents feel that they still have a place in this world. I can't put down in words the way they make me and my parents feel. But I do know this is home. Please if you are having problems or not sure where to go, come by and visit. You will understand then.

Our experience with Harmony so far has been "great". The staff is friendly and very competent. They treat Mom super and she is happy with the care that they are giving her,

My mom moved here and we loved her apartment and the people at the DeSoto Sterling House. They had good food and great activities. Unfortunately, they were not adequately staffed to handle my mom's fall risk mixed with her dementia. I would recommend a smaller patient/caretaker ratio for patients who need close supervision. However, I'd recommend this place to anyone who is capable of staying in their own little apartment with assistance. Mom fell within the first six days, broke a bone, and had to move to rehab. We were sorry to move her out, but her fall risk was too great.

My mother in law did move out due to them going 100% assisted, but I do think they were a great place if that is what someone is looking for. I would recommend to others

The atmosphere- very homey: the staff are friendly and helpful and responsive. Residents are very friendly too. Pricing reasonable. Loved The Oakmont but it was at least [price removed] a month more expensive & laundry was extra. Mom seems to be happy at Desert View & has friends

I would rate a 4 for the ease of getting my mom into the assisted living facility. From when we did our tour to filling out paperwork and the help of [name removed] and the rest of the staff. It took about 2 months to get availability to move in. She shares a room and bathroom. It is adequate for her needs. Our main priority was her comfort and having someone around to watch her 24 hours.

Like everybody, nobody wants to be here but like me I have to be here to be safe. The caregivers really care about the residence. The management listens you might not get the answer you want but at least they listen and if they can do it, they will make it happen. The Activity Director here is amazing. Keeps us busy. Keep us laughing, so I am very glad. My daughters found this place for me to live in.

Facility couldn't have been better. Always clean and well kept. Staff friendly and helpful. Very responsive to our needs.

What we like the most about the community is the friendliness of all staff and residents, the ease of getting them where they need to go, that Heritage has a driver to take them to appts, that drs will come to the facility as well. They like the food and have each gained about 10-15lbs, which my Mother in Law needed to gain weight per her Dr.

I have had a good experience with staff on my end but, I am in NY. My brother is just ok with the experience. Food is good as is size of his one bedroom. Staff treats him well. They do provide some transportation.

The room is large, recently renovated, clean, quiet. The activities are good, food is great. The only real issue I have is that I feel they are understaffed, especially in memory care. Only one person on duty at any given time. That means if one resident needs special assistance lasting more than a few minutes then everyone else is ignored. There isn't a good system for keeping track of clothing so everyone is wearing everyone else's clothes, but that doesn't bother me too much Overall, it's been a positive experience for my brother and me. Since my mother has dementia, it has been terrifying for her but that's to be expected anywhere she would go. I want to stress that the Lexington is an excellent facility that is a good value. Not top of the range but you get more than you pay for, in my opinion.

my mom mainly stays in her room and doesn't participate in activities. She says there are long waits to get served in the dining room, and often complains about the food. Sorry, but this just may be her opinion. I don't know. The staff seem nice enough, but I will say there is a big turnover which just may be the way this industry is; I have nothing to compare it to. I do feel the staff that she deals with appear to be kind and supportive, and caring.

The facility itself is clean, well-maintained, and the staff are generally kind. It is a suitable option for seniors who are fully independent and primarily need a safe and comfortable living environment. The activities calendar is active, and residents who thrive on social engagement will likely find plenty to do. That said, this facility is not well-suited for anyone who requires regular assistance with daily living tasks (bathing, mobility support, medication management, etc.). While staff are available, the level of care is limited and better described as supportive rather than assisted. Families should not consider this as an option for seniors who are not fully independent.

You need to have a follow up contact to check up on your relative, especially if you do not live close by.

The staff is extremely helpful and they do work with people on a budget. They care more about the patients than the financial gain which we loved about the facility. Plus, it's very easy for the old folks to make friends when they get there. My mother-in-law made fast friends with a lot of people there and they made it easy for everybody to connect.

They didn't do any activities so I can't rate that for them. They didn't care for the food.. not many varieties to chose from they said. We were there mainly because it was close to me and they had the earliest opening.

food and air heating issues. They never answer or return calls. run out of basics often. Low variety and quality. nice director. A lot of the same activities. Need a variety to stop monotony. It's a reasonably priced place. I would not refer anyone who needs a high level of care to Villa Court
