My mother was in the memory care unit of Sunrise at Ivey Ridge for two years. While the general staff that cared for her on a daily basis was caring and tended her needs extremely well, I can not say the same thing for the management staff. During those two years, there were at least four Reminance directors. Rarely did I hear from them and it was not easy to make contact. After my mother's passing this week, I had to place at least two phone calls to find out what I needed to do to donate my mother's belongings. I never received an initial call from anyone when she died. In my opinion, if you are in the business of taking care of the aging, a call to the family to make contact when they pass should be included on a very basic checklist for management.

I had to take my loved one from out of this place. Don't get me wrong, I thought this place was GORGEOUS when first toured from the outside building. Once in, the residents were quiet and appeared miserable. The Tour guide lady even brisk walked me through the place so fast, I couldn't even describe what was really there if I wanted to. They staff and its entirety act as if they are hiding something. An extremely high volume of miscommunication and unprofessionalism, is all that I was met with while their with my loved one. I have a better chance with keeping them home and paying a pre school, baby sitter to take care of them prior to what this facility offers with negativity.

Overall it was not a great experience. Very inconsistent in care, food was not good at all, they do not accommodate special diets .

Heartbreaking Experience — I Would Not Recommend This Facility The people at The Retreat of Loganville were mean and cruel toward me during one of the most painful periods of my life. I wanted nothing more than to be there for my dad, but I was kept from seeing him and was made to get permission from my sisters just to visit him. I never got to see my dad before he died. I never got the chance to say goodbye. That is something I will have to live with for the rest of my life. My dad had been doing well at home, but after moving into the facility, I watched him change. From my perspective, it seemed like he lost hope and gave up. I will always wonder whether things could have been different if I had been allowed to be there for him. I feel deeply hurt by the way I was treated. Families deserve compassion, dignity, and respect—especially when a loved one is nearing the end of their life. My experience was the opposite. I would not recommend The Retreat of Loganville

Very clinical and cold beautiful facility but felt no warmth or welcoming expensive and everything was extra cable level of care etc

Never in my life have I been to a facility that doesn’t have supplies for these residents. Now I understand that we as family members should supply their personal hygiene products but to hear staff say that they bring in their own laundry detergent to wash these residents clothes with is just insane to me. I never seen a housekeeper there so they expecting staff to do their job and doing housekeeping job. Just sad to me. I also never see the wellness director get on the floor and help out all she wanna do is sit in that office and act like she is working. If this supposed to be a memory care facility why bring people in that’s total care. If the staff isn’t able to use hoyer lift they need to be at a skilled facility. The management has to do better when it comes to accepting these residents. They need to properly do an assessment to see what these individuals can do before just saying that we will take them.

Today [Date Removed] I called my mom/dad and asking how is she. Yesterday night [Date Removed] the dinner service was late. 3:30 is the dinner service the residents that live in 2nd 3rd floor did not eat until 6:30. I’ve been irritated about this complains the GM in the kitchen always feed the residents same food. My mom/dad and the rest of the residents want to leave the facility. They need to replace the Food and beverage manager. Sometimes NO milk, the food are all the same.

MY husband was discharged from the ER for medical titration and stabilization, Occupational therapy, and assistance with his personal are. The staff refuses to follow his doctor's orders, gives him incorrect medications, omits some medications he takes, and refuses to offer his CPAP so he stops breathing at night. He had an accident in the shower and feces remained on the floor for two days before I could get someone to disinfect. The dining room tables are unstable and unsafe. With a few exceptions, staff is rude and demeans residents. The Executive Director or her assistant refuse to meet with me to resolve problems. I visit several hours every day and help my husband with his shower and get him changed every night for bed. If I don't do it, his hearing aids are not put on the charger. I am actively seeking another solution for my husband's care because Season's at Southpoint is a black hole.

If you have a loved one who has dementia it'll probably cost you [Amount Removed] a month to keep that person in the facility with you paying for outside support in this matter.

Care has suffered during 2026. Too often there are not enough caregivers to adequately care for the residents. When the fire alarm rings on a weekend, it is not possible for one caregiver to escort 14 residents from the Memory Care neighborhood to safety. Residents with dementia need frequent, compassionate care. The current staffing levels make this impossible.

The building is beautiful; however, the care at the place is abysmal. If your loved one doesn't need any assistance, the place is OK. If your loved one needs any type of care, it is unlikely that it will happen with any consistency. The administration is only interested in maximizing profit. One day your loved one will be well cared for, but the next day, your loved one may be sitting in filth all day. If your loved one needs help getting dressed, he/she may get the needed help twice each week; but it is never daily. Finding staff isn't always easy as the nurse's station is often unattended.

My Uncle was left in his room, no lunch, no dinner. Lack of staff. Administrator was snippy, cold could care less. Other patients left in rooms, no availability of staff. Facility is expensive, my uncle's care on skilled is approximately $[Amount removed] a month.

Poorly managed, the food is not good, things are not kept clean floors in the dining room area are always dirty. The public bathrooms are not cleaned very well. My mom's level of care plan was never followed the way it was supposed to be followed. She was given the wrong medication on several occasions when she was at the end of life it was supposed to have her morphine every two hours, one day it was four hours before she got her dose of medicine. Also, we had to contact corporate three separate occasions. My parents were only there a short time. They moved there in May. My dad passed away in June and then my mom passed away in December. They could never solve the problems in a timely manner. And the turnaround of workers was unbelievable. There were some good workers there and some very good nurses but if they were under better management, it definitely would be a better place for people to live. Thank goodness my mom and dad had me to watch over them and watch how things were going there there are people there that do not have advocates to help them.

We had a very bad experience with this facility. They were told that my mother was early into dementia at our initial interview. We requested for her to be placed in the specialized care locked floor. They had no openings there but wanted her to move in and they would change her over when they could. They had multiple openings (empty apartments) in regular assisted living care area and pressured us to go ahead and place her. They collected a large deposit and first month's rent. We moved her in, (using professional movers since I am wheelchair bound myself at a cost of $960 dollars) only to find that there was NO HOT WATER, (and said it would be a week to repair), the satellite television connection in her room was so old it broke off at the wall and would repair " at a later date". They then said my Mother couldn't have meals sent to her, so they expected her to find her own way to another floor for meals and they knew that she was in early dementia and waiting for admission to their special care unit! She stayed there only 3 days before they sent her out to the hospital because she was "too confused " for them to handle. They refused to allow her to return and they REFUSED to refund any of the $8,000.00 dollars I'd paid them 3 days ago!! Our experience with this Assisted Living facility was terrible and seriously depleted our funds to care for my mother. I would not recommend them. They obviously wanted our money but NOT OUR MOTHER!! BEFORE YOU SIGN Check the faucets for hot water Check the flush of the toilet Check EVERY OUTLET for safety Check the television Connection GET THE SITUATION ON MEALS IN WRITING!!

Only thing good about this place is the workers. Management is TERRIBLE. Only care about your money. I’ve seen roaches occasionally while visiting. Just overall not a good place to bring someone you love and care for.

They have too much turnover, no connection with patient, awful food and it looks dirty and dated. They need to reinvest the huge profits into the hiring, training, décor and food.

If you want your loved one to move into a place that stays understaffed all the time, this is the place! All they care about is getting your $$. The residents pay way too much $ for the proper care they don’t receive!!! How this place is not shut down blows my mind.

My family and I are devastated by the experience we had at Legacy Heights Memory Care, and I feel it’s my responsibility to share what happened so that others can make fully informed decisions. After more than 15 years of caring for my mom at home with early-onset Alzheimer's, we made the incredibly difficult decision to transition her to a facility. Legacy Heights Senior Living Facility came highly recommended and were told they had a memory care unit. After visiting over a dozen places, we chose them based on the assurances we received about the level of personalized care they could provide. When my mom was admitted, she was stable—eating well (with assistance), drinking fluids through a straw, continent when assisted to the restroom every two hours, good weight, and able to walk short distances with support. They disappointed from the beginning aren't trained to handle someone in his condition, didn't administer the meds correctly and set him up to get kicked out even when given specific instructions they did not follow them then threw him out while we were away on business. Terrible terrible establishment. Took our money only to kick him out after 2 months when we were very open about his condition. Negative negative experience everything is 0 stars. Staff, management, terrible

I would rate Overall experience, care services and staff a negative 1. The facility looks very nice however the care is lacking and under staffed. Unless the management staff has changed this is a bad decision that will be costly to correct.
