There is NO ELECTRICITY in the THREE STORY Independent Living building when [the] power goes out!! They only have a working generator in [the] assisted living building which happens to house the office. It is EXTREMELY unsafe for the residents physical and emotional well being. Just totally UNACCEPTABLE! \n

My mother was recently at this community for a short respite stay and I have no complaints of how things had went. The staff where always so friendly to her and I was comfortable with the care she was provided. They had a great activity program available to all of the residents as well as a dinning experience. The food is excellent quality and worked out just fine for my mother. Overall it was a nice experience and I would recommend it to anyone.

This community was clean and the salesperson was wonderful. I had another loved one living here and the people I worked with were kind and exceptional. This community does not accept medicaid. I just got a better vibe from the community we chose for my dad.

I learned their view point of Assisted Living and found that they are not licensed to give assistance. However, I was looking for a community to be the last one for my father-in-law. They were not the one that would provide care the longest. I did not see anything bad it just was not the right fit.

The community is clean and the grounds are always neat. My main issue with this community is there is no follow through and a lack of communication. The activities director is wonderful as she is always there for the activities and she does follow through. The residents think a lot of her. Some days the food is better than others, however they are usually balanced meals.

My tour of this community was okay. The marking director was very nice and helpful. She was very informative. The community looked older, and the rooms didn't look the best. The community could use some updating. I didn't feel like this was the community for my father. The marking director was very kind.

Our experience with Summit Place has been a good one overall. It is a clean, nice looking facility, and the staff have all been very friendly for the most part. The food really wowed us at first, but unfortunately that level of quality didn't last. The food is good, but I do think it could be improved.

We visited multiple communities in the Atlanta area and elsewhere for communities with independent/assisted living care and no other community compared to SP in terms of the facilities and meals offered for the cost. The cottage duplex setup for the independent living segment is impressive with the 1,000 square foot floor plan, the food is excellent, and the activities are well aligned and coordinated by very cheerful, friendly, and helpful staff. On the somewhat problematic side is the very bumpy administrative coordination we have seen so far, which we encountered from our very first visit. Some balls were dropped at various times, which required follow-up/advocacy, and services such as maintenance, housekeeping, and salon services have been less than hoped for. However, the visiting physician has been extremely helpful with getting the necessary specialists lined up for medical care. Overall, the positives outweigh the negatives, but I would caution children/caregivers who place their parents/seniors at SP to stay on top of the details and maintain close contact with staff. Ask questions and be an advocate, advice that applies no matter what community you choose, but in this case consistent follow-up is necessary.

They have done really well trying to get mom to come out of her shell and be a part of the community. They have not been successful, but that is not at all her fault. They have done all they can and have done a great job managing her medication, and getting her to eat three times a day, which she was not doing when living with her daughter. They've done a great job helping with the bathing, and working with her limited vision. One thing she has complained about a lot is the food. She says that the meals are frequently cold and have to be sent back.

Our expereience over the past 1 1/2 yrs has been just that, an experience. My loved one is in the memory care building and the sales pitch was wonderful but does not follow through. I was sold a "montosourri" lifestyle for the residents, but the care staff does not pariticpate unless a tour is coming thru or a prescription is written for PT or OT to do it. The most simple requests (i.e. yogurt for lunch or with lunch) can turn into the biggest ordeal. You must bring the yogurt in yourself if you want them to have it. I though meals were included with the monthly fee? They are quick to diaper a resident, and slow to change that diaper. You really need to be hands on for the first 90 days after moving your loved one in. It's not a bad place, but i do feel like i need a "nanny cam" sometimes.

Our family was immediately welcomed into this community. We are finding the staff to be very helpful and accommodating. One of the most helpful attributes is the availability of other family members to talk with and find support. The executive director had made himself available at any time we've needed. We were most impressed with his willingness to take the initiative to learn of my father's special healthcare needs and provide his staff with appropriate and adequate training. Our first week was of course difficult, yet it was made easier by the staff's understanding of our anxiety and their ever-present patience with our frequent questions, visits and phone calls. As we continue to transition and become accustomed to our new "Home" for Dad we are appreciative of the staff's concerns for our well-being and for providing a safe and comfortable place for our Dad.

Staff is working hard to make this a better place. We are pleased with how caring all the aides and med techs are, and my mother seems to respond well to them. Biggest concern is a bit of iinconsistency of food. Sometimes it is great, others lacking. I know the food service director is attempting to get more balance in meals, but there is often too much starch. Recently my mother chose a BLT wrap for the noon meal, and there was barely ANYTHING in the wrap. One evening when we ate with her, her soup was not even lukewarm. Little [removed] pineapple slices rather than chunks, which are easier for seniors. Often food is not proper (hot) temperature when served. Some meals service is fast, other days 30 minutes passes before entre served. BUT, I know hard work is being done to improve consistent standards. There is a good range of activities, and staff reminds residents when activities are to take place.

My mother lives in the Arbor Terrace (it's been exactly 30 days since she moved in) , and I like the facility very much. I like the layout, the people and both my mother and I liked the food. The staff have been very responsive, responding to my inquiries right way, which is good. They have an activities program that covers both the daytime and evening hours, as well

Since 3 weeks my Mom lives in the Assisted Living ,Legacy Hights, she needed to be moved from an Independant Lving Place she was happy there. Unfortunately she fell and fractured her hip, was in Rehab for 8 weeks and could not return to her old place. She is 92! Of course a new place at that age is an adjustment, I can only say, that Legacy Hights lacks warmth from the Staff, not all, but the smiles and friendliness is mossing. Her room is very nice,the DR are many and clean, the Ambiance very nice, you can sit outside, most are cold 76-78F .For my Mom a routine has not been established yet.

We are currently still working out some small kinks but they are working with us to try and fix the issues. Overall we are happy and think we are in the right place and would be able to recommend them to anyone.

My husband and I live in a studio apartment because that is all we can afford, and I work to help make ends meet. At $[removed]a month, it is a significant financial strain for us. We have fallen behind on rent because the cost takes nearly both of our paychecks, although I will say that the staff has been patient and understanding with us. There are definitely some things that need improvement. The ice machine does not work consistently, and we have asked multiple times to have the magnetic door holder fixed because my husband is in a wheelchair and having the door stay open would make things much easier for him. We have also asked for corner molding to be installed on the wall to help prevent the paint from getting damaged. The food is probably our biggest disappointment. It is advertised as fine dining, but frankly, we don't feel it lives up to that description. We seem to get the same entrees repeatedly, along with side salads or overcooked broccoli. There are times when we feel the meals could be more appealing and varied. My husband and I often ask for grilled cheese instead because we don't care for what is being served. We'd really appreciate seeing more classic options like roast beef Manhattans and BLTs. On the positive side, the community is very clean. [name removed] does an awesome job and deserves recognition for keeping things clean. As far as staffing and care, I feel the staff is overworked. During dinner, the RCAs aren't always able to provide as much help as residents who use walkers need, so I often find myself stepping in to help. I understand that everyone is doing their best, but there simply don't seem to be enough people available at times. I work, so unfortunately I miss most of the activities. I can't really speak to them from personal experience. Overall, there are good people here who are doing their best, and we appreciate the patience and understanding we've received. However, there are several areas—including maintenance, food quality, staffing, and affordability—that I believe need significant improvement.

Not worth it. Bad reputation for falls at Paulding Wellstar hospital. Wish I'd known that prior to. They have cleanliness down perfect! They have staff that are friendly and some r very rude and do not care. There r 4 staff that truly care and will do what it takes for the dementia person. 2 would leave them in the floor. Don't fall for the 8:1 ratio, it's not true. The Ex Director, she doesn't really listen to the family or even if there are personal sitters. [name removed] at front desk amazing. Food is great. Dad loved it. Tthey just hired a activity leader, so they really didn't do much up til that. Not worth the $ at all. Your just paying for a very clean beautiful building. That don't take care of a loved one.

Overall, the experience was not wonderful. Staff were continually changing, and it was difficult for my loved one to develop any kind of relationship with the staff. On a number of occasions, we found bugs in the room, and the facility had to come in and disinfect it. A number of clothing items were also "misplaced." We were not sure how they were misplaced, but new clothes we brought for our loved one would disappear. Whether they were taken by another resident or a staff member, we don't know. We also felt that the leadership was in over their head and didn't seem to have the skills required for the position. These comments are based on our experience of having a relative at this facility for over three years.

I felt like they weren’t really able to provide any concrete information other than the price of the room. There were many charges that were “oh yeah, also you have to pay this monthly”. There were no print outs, just information she wrote down on a piece of paper. I did appreciate that she said they were waiving the community fee, but overall didn’t feel like it was a good fit bc the tour was lacking relative information.

I really can't tell you a whole lot about The retreat at Loganville. My sister seems very well taken care of. She says the food is adequate and I can't get out to help her around things go places but about once a week because right now I've got some medical problems that are taking precedent. As far as I know, though she is happy there.
