Would recommend, I think my parents really enjoy living there. The staff has been really friendly and helpful.

I would rate everything a 5 except for the food. I was frequently there with my mom for breakfast and lunch and my brother for dinner. The food left a lot to be desired. I would rate it a 2 - and that might be generous. We ended up bringing in outside food for her several times a week. The care takers are very professional, helpful, and pleasant. My mom was in the memory care unit so we had to be buzzed in. I don't think she knew that she was locked in. The apartments are nice and we tried to make it feel like home to her by bringing things from her house in Mississippi. I would recommend Bay Port to anyone who is looking for a safe place for their family member. My mom was very unhappy to be there, but her dementia had reached the point where she couldn't be left alone. Since I live in Niceville and my brother lives in Ft Walton Beach, it was much more convenient than leaving her in a facility in Mississippi. We probably should have done it sooner, but it was a very difficult decision to make.

A few months ago I began searching for assisted living for mother. After touring and visiting facilities, I can say that [name removed] was the absolute best at helping me decide the level of care for mom and explaining how everything worked. She truly has her heart in it. I am so pleased with everyone that works there. They all work as a team to make the facility work well for the residents. The activities, the food, the maintenance and kindness they have for the residents is all amazing. I am relieved to know mom is safe and taken care of in every way. It is clean and has a comfortable atmosphere.

I called this community searching for my mom. The Director [name removed] was patient due to my ignorance. He explained the in's and outs of his place. My family could not move forward due to financial reasons. I would recommend this place to anyone just because of his willingness to help find affordable places that accept Medicare. I felt the need to make this review to help others.

They were very good to my dad. As for value , the cost was very good in the beginning but jumped quite a bit after 4 months. It is a very clean facility, friendly staff and great care of each resident. We also had a great experience with A Place for Mom! [name removed] was so helpful.

Our family has been very pleased with the level of care and service provided by a great team at The Retreat. The facility is always clean, and the staff meet you with a smile. Due to a loved one's urgent care needs we had to find a suitable facility quickly that could provide the care we needed after hospitalization and rehab. The Retreat staff made a difficult time easier to navigate.

Overall my mom has settled in very well, she has made some friends and the staff makes her feel welcome! I have interacted the most with [names removed] and they are fabulous. I have had some concerns with staff turnover and my mom has commented on that as well. But as a health care professional myself I understand the nature of the 'beast' as it were.

The facility is located in a great area and close to family. Staff are EXCELLENT! I would highly recommend The Neighborhood at Hopkinsville.

The staff was very accommodating to us having my mothers 90th birthday party there recently. They provided us a great spot for the party and came by and brought in other residents to wish her a happy birthday. All in all, they made it a very special day for her.

Very nice facility. Friendly and caring staff. They made a point to know my father's name from day one. They were great at communicating with me as well.

We are so pleased with the memory care center at the Phoenix At Milton. The staff is very professional, caring, and respectful to mom. The facility is well run and really nice. We find the Phoenix At Milton very affordable and an excellent value for the money. High recommend!

There is good communication between staff members and staff and families. Communication is important, but we also felt a sense of compassion. We've been in some places where it felt like there was very little caring.

I would say that they are clean, friendly, and quiet. But they seem under staffed and the food isn't good.

What has really stood out to us and what we really like most about the Bayport of Fort Walton Beach community is he overall friendliness of the staff. We would recommend this community to other families who may need a place for their loved ones.

It was a good place to keep someone with memory issues that was otherwise able to function fairly independently - we appreciated it was a locked down facility without having to put him in memory care.

I researched several places to move my father who has dementia. The Phoenix at Hammond has been a blessing. He has thrived there. No matter what time or day I visit, he is clean, looks well, and is taken care of. Every staff member I have had contact with has been super nice and professional. The grounds and inside are always clean and well maintained. The staff are always working and helpful. I do not worry about my dad being here. If I want to check on him, I can call at any time and they let me know how he is. A Place for Mom was a super big help with finding The Phoenix and coordinating tours and answering all my questions.
