My mother spent a short respite stay here while the family went on a family trip abroad. The care , attention to detail, warm ambience and exceptional level of compassion and understanding was an absolute delight. My mother talked non stop about all the friends she met and things she did while there. What more could one ask for ?! Absolutely thrilled beyond measure to be directed at Legacy Heights. What a gem !

My parents have been at Oaks for 5 years. The facilities are clean, well maintained, and there are so many activities for the residents. the staff truly care for my parents and give them the most personal and professional care possible.

The Bungalows is very clean, well-maintained and comfortable. The staff really seemed to care about all of the residents. The smaller facility size and simple layout makes it easy for people with disabilities to navigate. Mom did not want to move to assisted living, but she absolutely loved it from the first day she moved there. It helped that it is a pet-friendly place. It is as affordable as any of the similar facilities in town.

The staff are so friendly and ready to help when they can. The size of the apartment has been a game changer from the previous place. Living space 14'6"x 17'7" bedroom 15' x 11'10". My mother says this is home. The crown molding and bay window make it feel so much like her home. Mom can do her own laundry in the laundry room. The library has been another plus, as mom loves to read. The park area around the community offer nice walks when weather permits. The covered porch is also a nice place to relax.

First time was great and coming back was even better. Everyone genuinely welcomed my mom back and checked on her. I've already had friends/family saying they would be interested for their family member or themselves.

I would encourage them to visit and talk with staff. All of the above areas impressed us kids. We visited others and your facility was just plain nicer and friendlier.

Staff has been very nice, and responsive. Continuously tries to keep mother engaged. Mother indicates quality and variety of food is much better than other facilities she has been in. Other residents all seem to be engaged and have positive .

My grandmother is spending time here and she really enjoys it! Since new management started I’ve seen a great deal of improvement when it come to communication and resident engagement my grandmother is happy. The staff always make sure she is treated with kindness and dignity which goes a long way for her morale.

My mother has been in several assisted living facilities and this one is our favorite. They have great outdoor areas, the front door has rocking chairs on the entry level and a wide deep veranda upstairs. Mom loves both places. I like the upstairs because it's shady, has a breeze, and has plenty of activity to watch. The back garden is fenced, private and a beautiful welcoming place for the residents. Mom is very happy with the dining and activities. I feel like she's happy here and staying more present and engaged. The inside is welcoming and comforable and the rooms are spacious and bright.

We are so fortunate that when we were faced with finding a new living situation for Mom, that a Place for Mom was able to assist with referrals and schedule appointments for us. We interviewed 3 places in Cumming and just had a gut feeling that this would be the best choice. Mom moved into the memory care section of the assisted living center and immediately began to improve and thrive! The staff treats her like family and she is always clean, dressed and involved in activities. She loves playing bingo and as she turns 91 this weekend, we are convinced we would not still have her with us if not for the love and care the Phoenix at James Creek provides. Thank you to everyone who gives Mom the life, care and support she deserves and needs.

I really like their pricing model which is all inclusive. The staff seems very nice and caring every time I visit. They do a lot of different activities each week. I would recommend this community to other families based on the experience we have had so far.

I currently have my gma here and the staff and leadership has truly made her feel the most comfortable. I am so appreciative of them treating her with kindness and respect. They truly have helped me and my family give her the best care possible. You can truly tell that the staff cares and that they are turning everything around from previous years.

I'm so glad my sister was able to find a place where she could be happy and satisfied. After a stroke, she she was unable to live alone. She was surprised, bewildered, and anxious about the future. The Bungalows has helped her adjust to her new situation.

I'm not much for words but I was happy to see my mom smile again after moving into this building. She looked very depressed prior to moving and I felt sad in my heart... sometimes you just gotta try new things for different results.

The care team is spectacular, my mom has nothing but amazing things to say about Legacy Heights. The staff at Legacy Heights are friendly. We were reluctant about a studio at first but there isn’t a need for a larger space since my mom is engaged in activities and great entertainment throughout the week. I can honestly say she is never bored. The porch has been a big hit too, she finds the rocking chairs very relaxing.

I would ask your facility to work with other residences, family, and friends who have visited patients to be sure to contact / lobby government officials about the need for hospice and other types of care provided in your facilities to be paid for by Medicare Medicaid, or other private resources that a patient may have. As a long time oncology, nurse specialist, I believe that there are still many misconceptions within the general population about what comprises hospice care and how a patient and family may best access those available resources. Therefore, I would include this type of effort in future plans, whether it be strategic planning or public relations. Be sure to ask people whose family members are being cared for in your facilities to take an active role in the provision or for services as valuable as the ones you deliver. I have found in over 40 years of working in Hematology-Oncology that patients & their support network are some of the most effective advocates that exist for patients in need of this vital service.

I would give the Pearl 5 stars in everything except dining. When I visit my mom I take her to lunch so I have never been there for dining. Overall I love it. Having my mom's previous facility as a comparison which I thought was good, I can say The Pearl surpasses them in every regard. They are absolutely more capable of maneuvering dementia with much more grace and caring than I could hope for. Cleanliness is outstanding. I have never smelled urine or unclean smells in the common areas or my mom's room. My mom used to hide her used pullups or wet underwear all over her room at her old facility. Obviously staff here is better at finding it. Staff is incredibly friendly. Before moving my mom in I texted and called regularly with questions and [name removed] was always happy to reply and answer any questions (and she still does). I call staff regularly to ask about my mom and they are always lovely. They really know what they are doing and it shows. I could not reply in regard to dining since I've never eaten there and I take my mom out for lunch when I visit. I hope to be able to participate in one of their many events but have not had the ability to yet. Quality of care is wonderful. Not only because of the staff and the longevity of the staff but the amount of outside agencies they have coming in to check on the residents. They do an excellent job of adjusting medications and doing what needs to be done. My mom is much happier here as they seem to have a better community of residents. One of my favorite things is how much time they actually spend outside in good weather. They definitely utilize the beautiful inner courtyard and I know my mom appreciates that. That's one of the things she misses about being home is her birds and flowers. they have tons of activities and they post plenty of pictures on Facebook so you can see if your loved one is interacting. I particularly love all the musical visitors they have. I think having live music on a regular basis is so good since it's one of the few things that people with dementia still recognize. I was surprised at how much of a good value The Pearl was. It was actually one of the less expensive on my lists and was by far the better option for my mom. I had had her in a much more expensive place before and the quality of care was so much worse. By moving my mom to the Pearl she not only gets better care she's paying significantly less which means her ability to stay there is not a burden on the entire family.

They are very attentive to my Dads needs Nice clean place They keep the family very updated We feel this was a great choice for my Dad He seems to like it Location is great I like that they handle meds and doc appts

We were so blessed to find Phoenix. From day one they went the extra mile to make sure dad got settled and his meds were correctly prescribed and administered. We had a couple hiccups, for sure, getting him settled but Phoenix stuck with him and worked to get everything the way it should be and never made us feel like he was going to get kicked out putting stress on my mother like other places have done. They went the extra mile to assist with the transition and have been there for my dad and my mom too as the spouse living apart. The facility is clean and welcoming, the staff are friendly and supportive. We have had a 5 star experience so far.

I would give them all a 5 except for food. My folks are having the meals delivered and sometimes quantity is small. Food quality has greatly improved--but still likely a 4. Residents are active, friendly, a few have pets & it is a good community. New manager has spruced the place up, is very personable and caring.
