The community is inefficient and has unpredictable care. The community is unresponsive to feedback, and the nursing staff is unavailable and inaccurate and their record-keeping is not good. They are not an advocate for the residence. The pricing was higher than other communities in the area. I would not recommend this community until there are major changes.

The hands on care was great. It was just poorly managed, with poor communication and poor leadership.

The community had several outbreaks of covid. The community did quarantine even after negative tests. Dietary needs are not met, the nutritional needs are not met and the variety is not good. There is no emergency power back-up in case of power failure. The elevators are constantly dirty. The price of the rent has gone up consistently every year and the service never changes. The rent has gone up over $100 a month for the last 2 years.

They have a new director. This assisted living just offers assistance with activities of daily living. My mom needs more care than they can provide. If your loved one needs more that the minimum care, this place is not for you. The food is okay and they offer a variety but during COVID meals are served in the room and that further diminishes the food quality.

There is a mandatory $2500.00 fee to move in to this Brookdale. We moved in two seniors (5k) at the same time and were told Brookdale would move them to a higher level of care when needed, actually MOVE them. Also that we could hire their caregivers as needed. It’s all a lie. They do the least possible. There was no higher level. There weren’t caregivers on staff. We had an emergency and had to hire contractors. When one of the Seniors was in the hospital the “nurse” came to the emergency room with a MENU of extra services. He was dying of heart failure and her mission was up sell me! They raise the rent drastically every year. It’s a rip off place. We had to find more extensive care to one of the seniors. He died 22 days after moving, per doctors orders. They are still billing us! I recommend The Legacy group. Stay away from this company!

My parents currently reside at this complex. My mother-in-law resides in another Brookdale facility (Assisted Living) in a different city in Texas. All three complain about the food. At this complex, they have had "Town Hall Meetings" and the food complaints are not addressed. The main menu is basically the same between the two facilities. Here is an example: "Roast beef" was served at this facility. My parents could not cut it and neither could the staff. The exact same issue happened during the same week with the "roast beef" at my mother-in-law's facility. She sent hers back and received a cheese sandwich in lieu of a hot meal. My parents have tried almost everything on the menu so that they can reap the benefits of the meal plan. The way the meal plan is priced, my parents lose money every month because they choose not dine at the facility due to the food offered. Though the staff in the food area are pleasant and try to accommodate the residents , I believe their hands are tied as to what they serve. If you are hoping for your loved one to receive a good hot meal, I recommend visiting and eating several times over a month long period to get a true idea about the food. I realized this is hard to do because sometimes moving a loved one has to be done in a short time.

Not Sure yet. My mother has been there two months. She has reported at least 4 times going to activities that were listed on the calendar and sitting there and nobody showing up, and then asking at the front desk and being told by staff they'd 'go find out' and then the staff never returned to tell her. Also reports understaffing, no staff to serve meals so the front manager had to come to the dining room to help serve. Salads served with wilted dead lettuce. We are paying for bathing service and my mother reports they have not been coming to assist her as they are supposed to so she has not been bathing, or she has been going in to do it herself which she should not do. Since that old lady died of scabies in the other Georgia home and the state did not investigate that home as they were supposed to, I'm very nervous about any failings such as the above as it shows they are not on the ball, and then I have to worry how not on the ball are they. I put good for the activities because when they happen they are great. My mother loves the musicians that come in. She's enjoyed the befit classes. She has made friends and met some really interesting and good and sweet people, so all these things are a relief to me. But the other stuff needs to be improved for me to feel my mother is safe. I just spent 20 minutes on the phone with her waiting for someone to come after she'd buzzed for someone to find out if they could help her with a bath (they were supposed to assist her yesterday and no one ever showed up.) and this time, no one ever showed up to her buzzing. So she had to go try to bathe herself. The fact the above things go on though shows a lack of respect to the elderly. If they think they won't report it to their families? Will we not find out they are not bathing our mother? We will not be there to witness them giving my mother a plate of salad that is dead and wilted and black?

$2124- 3rd floor— prices much higher than quoted through a place for Mom. cable not included. not much Wi-Fi. one computer room with 3 computers. dining didn’t seem to be a priority. rent only covers ONE meal. small dining room. more a la Carte dining vs meals being served. only 1 security guard for entire complex some activities available but never saw master calendar. more like an apartment complex. 4 studio apts. 511 apts- huge complex, lot of walking on concrete— it’s almost too big. a ton of walking would be required. moving — thru 2/13 - Anniv incentive, lease signed, every March free. partnered with a moving company w/ good rates. waiving pet deposit. $2500 one time community fee.

Patients much older and facility too expensive.

While looking at different locations for my love one this place is my least favorite. It is very run down aside from their outside appearance. The rooms are not very well kept and their layout of the rooms was not very large at all. However, the staff team is very friendly and helpful. Unfortunately, because of my primary concern of the room lay out I did not move forward with this facility.

I toured this community and as soon as I walked in I was ready to walk out. The odor when you walk in will knock you over almost. The staff was really nice and answered all of my questions. It is a older community and the lighting was bad. If they would do some refurbishing it would do wonders. Just not the place for my mom.

Laundry facilities are in are common area (not apt). Apartment doors are exposed to weather thus walk to meals in heat, rain, cold weather.

We took a tour of this community for my father, and his needs. The tour was pretty nice. However from, what I was shown the main common areas were kind a noisy. I also think the community could use some updating. The colors pattern was a bit dated. Overall I did not feel this was the right atmosphere for my father.

My relative lived here for a couple of years until passing away. The care staff and dining staff are very friendly, but I could never remember anyone's name (thank goodness for the nametags!) because they come and go so fast! The website says they are so close to Lake Tahoe, a favorite place of the residents, yet they never went on an outing during the 2+ years my relative was there! The food was terrible, it tasted like cafeteria food. When we toured the place, I was very impressed, but after moving in it was such a huge disappointment. Management just did not seem to care; it seemed that every time I tried to find the Director she was unavailable.

I was not impressed with this community. It was a bit out dated and the carpet needed to be changed. Also the units were not very nice. I did see the residents doing a group activity and they gave us a good tour. We just did not like the community look itself.

Unfortunately our experience with Brookdale North Richland Hills was not a very good one. The facility itself is very nice looking, but when we placed my loved one here I don't think they thought very hard about what would be best for her and her needs. It was our first experience looking into senior care so we depended a lot on them to guide us through the process, and she ended up in a unit that just was not a good fit at all in terms of her mobility issues and the level of care she needed. I also felt the staff could have been a bit friendlier and more welcoming.

The staff here is nice. They could use alittle more training in a few areas. They did not have activities that were available to help keep my mom active. The community was very clean. We did like the food that was served with a good variety. I would recommend this community only if others were more independent.

The staff and the community here I was not impressed. They are severely understaffed and really could use help. The people were always late to see what my loved one needed or would not come at all. My loved one also got sick due to the lack of attention. The community itself was clean and neat, but that is the only good thing that I can say about this place. I have taken my loved one out of here.

Mom was only in this community for almost 3 weeks. The staff are nice but some of them were not very compassionate. Sometimes she did not get her medication. I did have a companion with her and she said that the staff did not check on her. The community is clean. The food is ok, however the food was usually cold by the time she got it. They had a lot of activities but I do not think they were geared towards alzheimer's patients.

This is a nice community with good staff. At times they might not have alot of staff available. The food is good and a variety. They do offer activities for those who want to participate to stay active. I would review all aspects of this community for other family members.
