I could certainly see why the ratings were so high a year ago. My mother loved it there mostly because the people were friendly and the meals were so well prepared …it felt like home. As of now, a family member is having to go to the grocery store regularly for something decent to put in her tiny fridge and I have to call Grubhub to deliver something appetizing for an evening meal. AND I heard they’re about to announce a $[removed] price hike! From what I’ve witnessed, photographed, heard from my mom, and other residents, they owe at least that much to their residents for meals they aren’t getting now. I have no complaints about staff or nursing care, but it seems like the budget has tanked for food. It doesn’t appear there is any longer a dietician overseeing what is appropriate for a senior person’s diet as I have personally witnessed a resident saying, “I love cabbage but this is so way over salted I can’t eat it”. It was the only thing on her plate and she got up and left. SAD

Facility is generally clean and cheerful looking. Some staff are great (call me for comments), some not so much. My apartment is very nice, a real pleasure. Dining room has been without a chef (hence no real leadership) for some time now. One wonders at the continued failure to pull the situation together

Perhaps meals, initial introduction to the layout, best way to navigate the halls. My friend has had a very difficult time learning her way around. Some facilities offer a "ambassador" to help newcomers. I feel this could be a real help.

There's been a lot of turnover and it seems they have a handle on things. There was a time where a lot of administrative items were falling through the cracks. There's a new GM and she seems to be dialing up the level of service in all areas.

Only do your research, as daunting as it is: ratio between nurses/ patients, take time to physically observe enter actions between patients and staff especially in memory care, ask to take home 15 page contract before signing so there are no questions and lastly, please, visit your love one as much as possible even though it hard on your heart to watch their decline.

Generally I am happy with the facility. The people who work there are very nice and cheerful. The place is clean. They have decent activities. They only provide transportation for residents twice a week, I think it should be more. There is a lot of staff turnover, from nursing director, and executive director to the caregivers that help the residents. To me this is one real drawback.

One of the caregivers (can't remember her name but she was Hispanic) was absolutely a gem. For the others that worked giving care I felt like any question I had was a bother. My mom moved in with dementia and in a great deal of pain. She was only there 4 weeks before she was asked to leave and I am not sure she ever got pain meds. If she did--it took at least 3 weeks. Admin-the admin staff was "nice" at first but not real helpful as we went on. The best thing they did was kick her out to a facility that was great for my mom given her capacity. She got IMMEDIATE help for pain and got very good care. Food- it seemed very good. Activities--Mom wasn't able/willing to do much. That's not on them. It was her dementia.

There has been multiple administration turnovers in the 16 months my mother was a resident. No consistency. There were several nights there was only one caregiver for the facility. When she slipped and fell they never notified me.

This is not the place for memory care. When my loved one wants to go home, they call me instead of handling it. But not all employees do that, some are great some are just so-so. Nurses and normally good. It the staff ot aids that are less then 2. from 5 to 1 I hate the price i am paying for what i am getting.

The facility was nice enough. The rooms are large enough, we did have a problem with German roaches. The food was good and the café was a plus. Mom was constantly getting lost because there was no difference in floors or bldg. Not to mention one of the elevators was constantly broken so it made things more difficult. House keeping was good. At home health was not a good experience. They were inconsistent with her medication.

Overall ok despite a couple of incidents: broken glass not cleaned up by staff, visitors cleaned it up. Battery dead on remote wristband. My dad was stuck halfway falling of chair for several hours until I arrived.

Most of the staff I have interacted with are Very professional and caring. Lately there seems to be a bit of a turnover of staff which is typical in this type of setting...so I understand. With every caregiving facility I have worked in myself, you have care providers who care and get paid or those that are just getting paid. Keeping good staff is challenging and the those in charge really try to keep every thing running well. The activities and food are great.

The care was not up to par. The front desk personnel during the week days was very rude. The weekend front desk personnel was very helpful and friendly. The sale teams are nice just to get your business.

We fell in love with Three Forks from the initial visit, we were very impressed with the low amount of turnover, allowing our mom to fall in love with the staff. She had the same nurses, facility Management, and Maintenance for the first two & a half years, a very consistent routine which was much needed for. Since the change in ownership in 2024, most of the staff has turned over and we have noticed a vast difference. Her laundry started getting mixed up, wasn't done as frequently; one gal actually mentioned to us that we were welcome to do her laundry ourselves!!! We pay for this service! We have had to repeatedly ask for help with plumbing and lighting repairs. The main parts of the facility still remains clean and we are very happy the staff at the front has remained consistent, but much else internally has changed. Hoping for some consistency in staffing in the new year and hopeful for more helpfulness in housekeeping where our mother needs the most help, since she is 96.

We picked this community because of the location, size and overall feel. Apartment on first floor for mom (with mobility issues) was a big draw. I like the size (number of residents) I would recommend to others.

The overall experience is sometimes it's a 4 but with 3 turnover in manager & nursing personnel there, one can't really get a read on how well things are being taken care of. There is a new director [name removed] which I've heard good things about. The front entrance always looks well kept but the dinning room, halls, and residents rooms need better care when cleaning. [name removed] the activity director is wonderful and does her best to make life at Ridgeland Place a good experience. Nurses are fine, there are some who work in the dinning room and aides that are very kind but others sometimes rude. Nurse & physical therapist are good. They try hard to listen and be helpful. The food has been good as of late. I would say the cost of what you're getting is ok. We do struggle with the fact that everyone seems to have a different rate and every time you turn around there's another rent increase. I would like to say that I fine it unexceptionable to have that tiny elevator when it seem there are a lot more folks in wheelchair or with walker.

My wife died on [date removed] at Ridgeland Place. She spent a year and 7 months there. My assessment is that staff, with a few exceptions, was kind and attentive. The administrative staff, however, was more focused on getting more money out of me than providing quality care. At the end, when [name removed] reached the final stage of Alzheimers/Dementia, the staff increased their price to a level I could no longer afford. Mind you, the level of care would remain the same. This caused me a great deal of stress as I was forced to find another facility I could afford. No one would take her forcing me to accept their terms. I would have to sell my property to do so if I could not get help from Medicaid. [name removed] died before I had to make that decision. I think she knew what was happening. I can forgive, but I will not forget. What brings it down is #4 and especially #7. The quality of care wasn't always there, as I had to remind staff on several occasions as to her insulin injections and other medications. The staff did care and were attentive when I brought this to their attention. However, they needed to be better organized. #7 is an entirely different matter. [fee removed] per month is a lot of money and stretched me to the limit. I have no long term care insurance and had to pay out of pocket. An increase to [fee removed] a month FOR NO INCREASE in care would have resulted in eventual bankruptcy. The administration did so because they could under existing laws and rules. The value was not there. The administrative staff was not helpful in helping me find an affordable accommodation as they would not return calls from other facilities I contacted. I wish to make clear that my experience with Ridgeland Place is not unusual. Life expectancy has and continues to increase and facilities like Ridgeland Place have exploded. There is a need for such and a means to make them affordable must be found.

Biggest problem was turnover at EVERY position except activities mgr and front desk. That led to inconsistent quality and execution. We picked this community because; 1) We liked the move in special. 2) proximity to me 3) bright lighting 4) fit our budget 5) they made a good first impression. But they had quite a bit of turnover in the front office soon afterward

My step-mom always commented that the staff seemed a little racist. We didn't take her seriously, as she had a lot of complaints in general. But after she passed, my step sister met with the admin director (I think that was her role), who had just quit. And she verified that there was a lot of racism among staff and it was reflected in their treatment toward residents. My Dad was in memory care, and tended to wander at night. He ended up falling and had a lot of bruising. We never got a clear answer as to why he wasn't monitored more carefully and that report was never passed onto us. So I have my own reservations about their memory care ward. Aside from that, visitors were always treated well.

My loved one states that the staff come into their apartment at will. They sometimes knock but enter before my loved one can get to the door. To some degree I can understand this but my loved one is pretty independent and able to do most things without help. There seems to be what I would call your typical high school “pack” of friends. If you are new on the block you just can’t sit in a vacant seat because it is reserved for someone’s friend who may or may not show up for their meal. Often times those at the end of the meal line are told that “we are out of the planned meal” so they get a substitute which usually seems to be a hamburger. Please keep in mind that I have not been there at meal time but I hear my loved ones complaints. There seems to be some communication issues between staff and clients. Activities seem to get cancelled when too few clients sign up for them. It also seems that clients are unaware of activities before they happen, thus the client has no option to attend or not attend. They do have a television monitor that provides information but I think when dealing with older folks, they sometimes can’t understand or even see what is being offered. I think communication to the family member(s) could be better
