Park Senior Villas

It always looks spotless every time I go there. My mom fell the other day and they were immediately there to act promptly. It turned out to be just fine, but I was really impressed with how quick they were to offer top notch care. The staff is just wonderful! They chat with the people, getting to know them personally, getting them involved in the activities, and are all around just very caring. They are very adequately staffed, making the ratio between staff and caregivers much better than most other places. I highly recommend The Villas at Houghton!

My loved one moved in here at the end of April 2014, and our experience with it has been very positive so far. It does not look or feel like an assisted care facility. It is in a very nice location and is overall a very nice place to live. Residents have lots of opportunities to interact and there is a great atmosphere. I say if you're thinking about moving yourself or your loved one in here, do it!

We are very happy with my mother's move into Pathways things are going great for her here. My mother has been a clean and neat freak all her life and one thing she always says to me is how clean the community is and how nice it looks . The staff here has been wonderful and nothing but very helpful and kind to us. One thing my mother seems to enjoy a lot is the food here she loves it and has never said one bad thing about it. She just loves it here so far they have good activities for her to do if she feels like it and she has made some new friends as well so that is really nice to. I have all ready recommended this community to a neighbor who's husband has been showing some early signs of dementia I told her this is a very good alternative for us and helped us out very much.

Mom is enjoying her stay at Pathway. It took a couple of weeks for her to join in with the activities, but she likes it. Mom likes the food and says that there is lots of variety, plus she can ask for specific items too (peanut butter sandwiches, Activia yogure, Gatorade, etc). We are able to have open conversations with the staff about Mom, her medicine, her eating habits, any activities that she likes, and her personal care. We are very satisfied with Mom's care.

The care has been excellent. There are some people who are excellent, and others who are OK. In the places that I checked, I think they're very comparable. Their care has been excellent. They've done alot more than I thought they would do, and I'm very comfortable with the person in charge. My family member hasn't participated in any activities, but they appear to have plenty of them. The reason why I chose it is that if the person desires it, they have beautiful outdoor spaces. My family member loves to be outdoors. They have two staff people on premises at all times; one during the day and one at night, so someone is always there. The location for us is perfect

After a month and a half at The Villas at Houghton, my dad is doing very well. The staff are all very nice, and I believe he is getting very good care. One of the things we liked the most about The Villas is the fact that it is a large community (60 residents currently, 90 when the final three villas are completed) made up of smaller communities (each villa houses 10 residents). So mealtimes are smaller events, while activities might have 20 or 30 participants.

My mother was only there for two weeks. She had hospice care for that time. She never ate meals or interacted with any of the other residents. The length of time that my mother was there. I was there a good portion of the day. I feel that can't tell much about the food smelled good. Look good. The location for me was great and [name removed] I think her name is [name removed] The manager was wonderful and went out of her way to help because we were on a crunch to find a place for my mother under the circumstances, there are very few places that take someone with a catheter. She had no problem with having that, and the staff took care of it. Great. The ladies who lived there and the one gentleman seem to like their and we're very friendly and sweet. The home that my mother was in was very nice. I am so sorry that she wasn't able to appreciate it. She was at that point where she just turned everybody off Kind of didn't wanna talk. Didn't wanna interact at all. I hope this helps but I do feel that it is a nice place for people to go, and the price was decent under the circumstances. She needed a little bit more care and we did have hospice come in and they took care of most of everything.

I was pleased with all the staff members that I met. I especially that the caregivers in my wife's unit were very attentive. I observed them taking the time needed to attend to the special needs of each of their clients.

It's really pretty, clean, but I would like if they did more outings, especially because they mentioned it when we were interviewing places. If they don't do them, don't bring it up.

It is a perfect place for [name removed] because the caregivers are great and he only wants to interact with others at meal time.

What we like most about the Park Senior Villas are the people, we love the people there. They are so friendly and caring. That is the best feature and based on the experience we have had so far, we would recommend this community to other families looking for a place for their loved ones.

Happy to have our mother as a resident there for her 100th birthday! She enjoys her life in this setting. Park Villa is an ALTCS facility, which we have become in need of at this time. Based on our review and visits at other comparable places, we feel Park Senior Villas was the top option of an ALTCS facility for her.

This is a good community. It's close to home. They're a little understaffed right now, but they're working through it. Overall, we're happy with it.

I was very impressed with Park Senior Villas, I liked it a lot and just got a good feeling the minute I walked in. The facility is beautiful, it is newer and very clean. From what I could tell they were going to be expanding as well. I was not able to see the memory care portion of the facility. They prided themselves on having a high staff to resident ratio which I found impressive.

They seem to be taking good care of my loved one. The community is able to assist with caring for my loved one with medication management, bathing, dressing assistance and more. The monthly rate includes the care, the room, utilities, laundry, changing of linens, transportation and all the meals are included. My loved one seems to enjoy the meals. The community does provide a list of activities available.

We chose Park Senior Villas because of the competitive cost, the convenient location, and my brother did a drive by and everything looked good. We were also in a time crunch and they had availability quickly. Based off our short experience, I would recommend them.

When we first took my mom there it was a different company, my issue was when the ownership changed, They never told us, we just noticed it. and how we noticed was that there was a huge turnover in staff. When I asked the one staff person left that we knew, she said that the company changed hands and she was frazzled over it. My mom has since passed away, The facility is beautiful, the food was very good, and it was very clean.

This was a nice informative tour. It was a locked facility so people couldn't wander off. It was a group of small homes with about 7 or 8 people in each home. The staff was so helpful to us and explained why it would be the place for them. Couples can't really go there it is just for individual people with memory loss.

The staff here is nice and friendly. My sister enjoyed her stay here but wished she was allowed to take her walks by herself when she wanted. Besides that though the facility was kept clean and the community seemed to be happy and well.

I toured here and I really liked it. The tour was great and I loved the set up. I just found out some bad reviews about the place and didn't want to have any issues for my friend.
