Park Senior Villas

My husband needed memory care placement from hospitalization. I was referred to multiple facilities, when I visited Park Senior Villas, it was different experience, it felt like will give us and my husband the home feeling not a strange place. The managers assessed him for his needs; were involved, spent the time with us as family as well as with him. The facility system was explained to me in details, all my questions and concerns were addressed. They worked so hard to accommodate his needs, they learned about his hobbies and even ordered table tennis for him to keep him active as part of his therapy! The staff is compassionate, pleasant and caring. As memory care resident who needs lots of care and attention to settle, the facility managers and staff made every effort to make sure to work with my husband to reach that point. I am blessed with this place.

Our families experience so far is very good, the community is clean and staff members so far have been really friendly. The activities are coming back and our loved one says the meals and dining services are fine.

My grandmother is at this facility. I visit her every day and I am able to spend time with her as though we are at home. This facility tries their best to accommodate our needs and make this place feel like home.

We felt welcome when we first walked in and only needed to tour 2 more facilities before we knew that the Villas was the one for our mom. She stayed there a little over a year. We were comfortable and did not have to worry. At 90 years old and with significant dementia, they took great care of her, helping with personal hygiene, meals, and making sure she could attend all the events. Her room was always tidy and clothes were clean and we stopped by often. The food was fresh and cooked in the building every day. The staff always called if they were concerned about something. The last 2 weeks of her life, the staff were very considerate and caring. I stayed with her in her room and they made sure to check on me, too. Even though she was mostly unconscious, every one of the staff stopped by at least once a day to spend a few minutes. I just can't say enough about the care she received in her building. All I can say is: Thank you for being there.

I toured this community for the care for my mom. The staff were nice and able to answer the questions we had on te care that is offered here. The community was clean and they offered a good variety of healthy meals. We liked that the menu was appealing. We would suggest that other families tour this community for the care of a loved one.

On my tour here I enjoyed moment seeing this is what we were looking for. The staff are loving with attentive care. After working hard and finding the right mixture of medication my husband is doing much better. I trusted everything they did and they genuinely cared. He is not interested in the activities available but he loves the meals. I ate with him fresh, natural, and dietitian recommended meals. They do a great job and it is personalized. I am thankful for them. As I recommend the community to friends, it is encouraging to hear good feedback about their experiences as well.

Visited the community of homes and found the grounds welcoming the staff very helpful and supportive in answering our families many questions to place my parents in assisted living or memory care. Very clean facilities and protected yet very open

We really like the staff there. It has been only 6 weeks since he's been here. They have gone out of their way to make him feel comfortable and getting adjusted to his stay there.

I interviewed with several communities and decided on Pathways. My decision was easily made because of the staff and the facilities. My mother needed to go to a place that felt like home. The layout of the homes is perfect for anyone thinking about moving to this type of living situation. The bedrooms are huge, the living room area and kitchen is huge, the central bathroom with shower is perfect and the laundry room where each person's clothes are washed individually is the perfect setup. My mother needs food available to her 24/7 and that is no problem here. The "roommates" have all made her feel comfortable and accepted. I can't say enough about the staff. They are all great. I would highly recommend Pathways to anyone.

There is one thing the could improve on, in the unit my mom was in, there is kind of like a front, private dining room, and the air conditioning is really bad there, so it was always really hot. That was about the only negative thing though.

I am real happy with it and everything. They go out of their way to do whatever they can to accommodate you and make things work. And they have helped us with the insurance and everything. I rate them very highly.

Overall I think it has been a good fit for my loved one. However, I would like to see more encouragement for participating in the activities and also more encouragement for keeping up with personal hygiene.

Pathways is wonderful. Living in a different state than our father who had advanced cancer and COPD at the age of 67, we wanted to find a place that felt as close to home as possible while still offering the necessary medical care we simply couldn't provide. The nursing homes and assisted living facilities we had looked at prior to learning of Pathways felt sterile and cold like hospitals. Even our dad who wasn't super social benefitted from the close-community style of living. When our father passed away, Pathways was very human about the whole thing and supplied post-death services like returning Oxygen and medical rentals, removing the burden from our already full plate. We were very happy with our decision and glad to know there are places out there like this.

Great concept for assisted living! The multiple villas allow placement of residents with like folks. My mother is mentally sharp but has physical limitations, so, she is in a villa with 9 others (each with a private, spacious apartment) who have varying needs but who are "with it". The care givers are awesome and truly deliver care. Best arrangement for our mom - she thinks so, too!

Very helpful in reviewing what was needed; costs, etc.

I really like The Villas at Houghton because it is a small home where the residents have a very family like atmosphere. There is one caretaker on staff at a time who is like a part of the family as well and does an excellent job.

My mom has lived here since 8/14. The care is the best you will find in Tucson. What we really like is it is a community. There are 9 houses with 10 residents and 2 caregivers minimum per house during the day and 1 caregiver at night. Every resident has their own bedroom and private bath and the common areas are wonderful. There are activities daily and residents are taken to the activities if they are in a different villa. The caregivers and other staff are wonderful. The food is good too. My mom is very happy there.

It always looks spotless every time I go there. My mom fell the other day and they were immediately there to act promptly. It turned out to be just fine, but I was really impressed with how quick they were to offer top notch care. The staff is just wonderful! They chat with the people, getting to know them personally, getting them involved in the activities, and are all around just very caring. They are very adequately staffed, making the ratio between staff and caregivers much better than most other places. I highly recommend The Villas at Houghton!

My loved one moved in here at the end of April 2014, and our experience with it has been very positive so far. It does not look or feel like an assisted care facility. It is in a very nice location and is overall a very nice place to live. Residents have lots of opportunities to interact and there is a great atmosphere. I say if you're thinking about moving yourself or your loved one in here, do it!
