Paramount Senior Living

Paramount Senior Living is a perfect fit for my Father. My Father was raised in the area, so there are many residents that he already knows. Aside from that, with the very nice facilities and super caring staff it's as though I've sent Dad home.

Everyone has been a blessing and my dad is happier than I have seen him for a long time. He still doesn’t know who I am sometimes but he is treated very well and I love this place!!!As long as they continue working like they are I will feel comfortable with leaving him here.

After learning that my sister's assisted living was closing and I only had 30 days to find a place for her to live - I was pleasantly excited to find Paramount Senior Living. I had already looked into this place about 6 months ago. I was met with great enthusiasm. The staff was extremely helpful in getting my sister moved in and she seems to have adjusted nicely to the Memory Care Unit. The entire staff has been able to welcome her and being sure she has what she needs. The staff has communicated needs to the family and that is so appreciated. The activities for the residents have been fun to hear about and there is a variety of activities for the residents. I'm so glad I was able to find Paramount Senior Living at Cabell Midland.

In September my husband needed special care that Paramount was able to provide. Checking him in was done quickly and everyone was helpful with the transition that can be difficult. They provided the workers, care, meals, and activities that were needed to meet his needs. Could not have ask for better care.

They are amazing. They have a turnover in staff, and are short staffed but they do their best. They do care for my loved one and are very observant. The activies are awesome. We picked this community because, Its a beautiful facility, the people are friendly and they do their bes. I am very content with community. Overall, they do great job.

As far as cleanliness goes, my loves ones room is very dirty. My mom and I have to clean it regularly because it smells and the sweeper is never run. My mom had to bring a steam cleaner into steam the carpet because of the stains. We wrote a check for [amount removed] last week and they can't sweep the carpet. I have spoken with them about this issue.

The in house hospice was amazing. The staff as a whole was super kind. The front desk knew my name/face by day 1.

They were very helpful and very friendly, they took nice care of mom. They treated her just like family, they were very nice. From the administration all the way down to the everyday staff, they were all great. Thank you for all of your wonderful help, you made our time less stressful and more peaceful - for both for my mom and our family.

Our family had an in person tour and the person who was supposed to take us on the tour had a family emergency and had to step away but the activities coordinator stepped up and took us around and she was fantastis.

It has been overall good care. I love the cleanliness and I would highly recommend.

Our experience with Paramount Senior Living has been really good so far, the director [name removed] has really helped us with the financial side of things when it comes to insurance. The nurses just pamper our loved one, they just love him and are always hugging on him and engaging him in conversation. We do see a lot of activities all the time which is great. Their meals could definitely use some improvement though. Our loved one is not a fan at all and sometimes the meals are served cold. They do have a separate menu the residents can order off of, but you have to order in advance and with our loved one having some memory loss maybe the staff could assist and remind him to check out that menu early in the week.

The experience has been really good so far, they have taken very good care of our loved one it is exactly what we were needing. They help us out in everyway possible. We have to help feed our loved one now but from everything we have seen the food is always given to us hot, its really good and there is a very good variety. They have been very accommodating changing up our loved ones meals depending on her mobility. They are returning to daily activities they do have different things going on and we think it is pretty neat how the do certain activities with just our loved one.

We chose Paramount Senior Living at Newark because of the close proximity, their flexibility to work with us, and it was a more active senior community which is what my mom wanted. The room sizes are about average compared to others we looked into. The staff are super personable and really get to know their residents and their personal preferences. Whenever there is a problem, it is addressed quickly and they get to a resolution. The management is very good. We would highly recommend them.

Our tour at Paramount was very good. We enjoyed it! I thought they were very nice. We ended up choosing a smaller community with a 3-tier assisted level care system. But we really liked Paramount as well. It was a hard decision.

We've had a good experience. The people are very friendly and helpful. Their staff seems to be pretty comparable in staff-to-patient ratio. On the weekends it could be better, but it's pretty good overall. When my loved one pushes her call button, she's seen in a pretty timely measure. And we get notified very quickly if something goes wrong. It's very expensive, but all in all, it's been a good experience. They have a lot of great activities. We feel she's safe there. And she is happy and thriving.

This community is really nice but the location was not ideal and wanted our loved one to be closer to us.

Our family had an in person tour and even though there was so miscommunication and they didn't know we were coming, they still took us around and answered all of our questions and everyone was very nice.

We really liked Paramount. It is a great place and we got a good tour. WE were also able to eat lunch and enjoyed the food. We had actually put a deposit down, but after their evaluation they said they would not be able to take my loved one.

My mother does not participate in many of the activities but I do know that they have a lot of them. I think that this community is wonderful and very adaptive to the individuals needs. They are also very responsive to individuals families. They also have a Salon for the residents and I feel like my loved one is being well taken care of.
