Nice facility, caring staff. If we need assisted living (rather than independent) this is my first choice.

We were able to take a tour of this facility and we liked it the best so far.

pleased with what we heard and saw.

New mangaement has been put in place over the past six months. Almost all positions of leadership were changed, including the Dining room. The food has greatly improved. The facility has been completly remodeled as well.

Staffing on some shifts were better than others. Sometimes seemed short staffed while others were better. Always remember the facility is not a hospital even though they can provide a lot of personal care.

It was very nice experience overall. My mom seemed to enjoy herself. My only issue was the fact that I couldn't bring her medications in myself. I had to go through their Omnicare, which I found to be extremely more expensive than CVS, where I was getting them before.

This was a nice facility. We did a virtual tour so it was kind of hard to get a feel for everything but it was nice.

It took a while to get my mom to move to a community and it took a while to get her to leave her room then she started to enjoy the activities and socialization. Now she is back in her room so it is hard to go backward. But I understand they need to quarantine due to the virus. Expense is a big factor with all senior living, my mom has a studio room with no kitchen at all in her room. She also had some money taken from her purse. Activities were important in our decision so she could get the socialization she was not getting at home. She is getting assistance with showering and help in the morning to get going.

No matter what level they are all paying the same price. It was all white and like a maze. It's only a few years old, but I didn't like that they didn't have a nice courtyard. And it felt broken up and didn't have big rooms.

We liked pretty much everything about this except it seemed like when you got in the hallways, the hallways smelled, it didn't smell clean. The rooms were ncie, there wasn't any smell in them, the staff was friendly, the people that we talked to and we had an appointment to take her back there but didn't because of the smell.

Emeritus' strength lies with its people - wonderfully kind, friendly and helpful. That doesn't, however, excuse you from staying on top of things to make sure things happen as they should. While everyone has a smile, offers to help, is attentive and clearly cares, you do have to be involved by making sure you understand who is doing what, what is being done, how it's being done, whether it's being done in a timely manner, etc. I'm guessing this is true of every and any facility, but most of us enter these facilities without prior experience, so it's easy to make assumptions that the right hand always knows what the left hand is doing. Get to know the caregivers, be friendly and appreciative back, but ask questions and make sure you are involved in the process, and you'll have a good experience.

Preparing to bring the patient in went very good with all questions answered. However, there was a lack of support when bringing the patient in. The coordinator and maintenance were not there so many things we were told would be done when they got back several days later. No one showed up during the several hours moving the patient in and we were left to constantly go down stairs asking for help most of which we stumbled across hours later. There should be some procedures for welcoming the patient into the facility instead of leaving it exclusively up to the family. As an example, no one helped setting up the TV and we had to find the person to get the medicine arranged. Basically we were given the key and that's all. The facility itself was cleaned and the people there attentive to the patients.

My mom is on the dementia care side, so I can't answer for the assisted living side. Paramount is small and that is what I wanted and I am told it is less expensive than some of the other facilities around it but it is difficult to see where the money goes. Also my mom has fallen three times since she's been there, which is more than she ever fell when she lived with me. I do feel like she's on a heavier sedative medication than she was previously, this could be because she has more anxiety being there than she did living here but I am not sure as it feels like I don't get a lot of answers. I get calls for odd things and not for important things so I'm not sure if I would recommend them. It would depend on the level of care the person needed.

The activities staff and PT/OT Speech were outstanding .. Dad had to move out of his room due to water pipe burst and so his nurse was downstairs on first floor and he was moved to 3rd floor. They charged an extra[Amount removed] incontinence care but it was a pack of pull-ups put in his bathroom. Now, I told the staff that his memory was off .. he needed to be watched as he went in shower etc. but he told me that no one helped him in shower .. I came a few times and he had the same clothes on .. He fell 3 times in one week also. They were good about letting me know , but the one day I went there he had fallen at 6 am his bathroom was a mess and he was sitting in his room in just his boxers. I had told the staff he needed some cueing and occasional assistance but, he didn't get that . The food was not the best and not a lot of variety.. they sat my father all by himself .. I think he felt a bit lonely and I didn't feel like the staff was very empathetic .. he lost his wife 5 days prior to our move. When I had initial tour with Director, [Name removed], I was really excited about the move and care my dad would receive. But, since our first day, [Name removed] I was told works at main facility in PA. I assumed he would contact me to ask how dad is doing or at least follow up.. but, I never heard back from him.. also, we were told Dad may receive Veteran discount, but that never happened. They did take off 1/2 community fee. From [Amounts removed] reimbursed.

Staff is always changing. New people. Seem nice but they don't communicate with the family or other staff members. My dad was on a trip with paramount and they called me to see if my dad was with me. They could not find him. I left work early to search for him and than they call back after I was 39 min away from paramount to tell me oh he's is on the bus trip. My dad is very together in his mind the only help he needs is with his pills daily. [removed] a day for the care he had was not worth it. Not any activities for men to do which there are a lot of men there. Food was not always what was posted.

Room or apartment size is adequate although my mom is only in her room at bedtime. Cleanliness is good. The staff is fair. Dis appointed in the communication with the staff and family. There are good amount of activities.

Laundry could be more organized. She was home for 2 weeks and they called saying they had clothes of hers. I went and got them glad I did. It was an older building but nice rooms. My Mom fell while she was there and they handled it very well. I would recommend but there are areas that could be approved upon. I feel there is never enough nursing staff at most nursing homes and in turn patients don't get checked on as often as could be.

Staff was friendly and nice. Housekeeping and laundry service could have been much better. Door to the room left opened, so items of clothing are still missing.

My dad's first day there was great, absolutely wonderful. His second stay there was anything but! It was as if the staff did not talk to each other. I received a call every day for two weeks twice a day asking me the same questions. They lost his medication. They ordered new medication and charge his insurance company. I was not happy with his second stay. and since then, I have received a bill from some company that they use to order new medication for my father. I reached out to the director [name removed], I faxed her the invoice, she said that it would be taken care of, but it was not. And just to clarify, he was only there for short term stay 30 days, where we supply his medication for 30 days. There was no reason for anyone in that facility to order any medication for my father. He was not a long-term resident and he came with ample medication.

1. The patient hear from the nurses was very good. 2. There was a lot of turnover in leadership roles. No one seems to know what the process was or the policies and procedures.
