The staff at The Woodmark at Sun City are friendly. I have been participating in some of the activities that they offer. It's a clean community. The communication has been good, the staff does a great job. The community has a doctor on site. I am enjoying the meals that they provide.

This is a lovely community and they did provided my parents with good care. My parents stayed on the memory care floor. I did have my concerns about the food. They would reheat the food in the microwave when it arrived from down stairs, which I didn't think was very appealing. The staff was kind and caring. There are activities offered. They did a good job with their medication management. The community looked great. They do allow small pets. This is a good community, but my dad just wasn't able to adjust to it.

My mom is doing great, she is in a much better environment. She has wide variety of meal options and eats in restaurant style dining room. She enjoys exercises, activities, and weekly tour outings. The staff and residents are good nice people. The facility is pretty, nice and clean. They even help assist with rides to the doctors, only on Tuesday but it is so helpful. I would recommend to anybody!

My tour of this facility went well. It is a pretty well maintained community. The staff was very kind and friendly. It didn't really have the homey atmosphere I wanted for my mother in law. It is a nice community with kind people it just wasn't the place for her.

They are doing a good job keeping the community clean. I feel the care and safety is here. I am not happy with the charges they add to our monthly rent. At times they are not full doing what was agreed but have no problems adding it to our bill. This overall is not a fit for mom because she needs someone to do everything she can't.

My mother is well at this community.The cleanliness of the community needs improvement, it took the cleaning lady 2 weeks to come clean her room. They were not very welcoming, there was not any type of orientation into the community. The staff isn't really knowledgeable, but they are friendly. They do offer activities. She is pleased with the food, but the time they serve the meals is odd. They do provide good care, so I would recommend this facility.

My review for Atria North Escondido is not favorable. Based on an evaluation by an Atria employee, my husband could not be admitted into Atria until he would be sufficiently rehabilitated. At that time, my husband could no longer walk nor follow instructions of the Physical Therapist for rehabilitation.

So far so good for the most part. My mother-in-law is adjusting well to it. We are not 100% satisfied with it however. They changed management and most staff since she has lived there and this has caused some inconsistancies in her care. She is a fall risk and requires assistance getting in and out of the shower and they have not stayed on top of her showering needs. The plan that she is on allows for up to 4 times a week assistance with showering. The company that took over is a hospitality company. It is a nice facility but we are concerned with the staff situation. We did not realize there was a change over going on when we moved her here and within the first week staff started changing. They are short staffed and it appears they are almost at full capacity of residents. My mother-in-law does like the food, and the community has a family dinner night once a month.

I've had some issues with administration and am not completely pleased although I wouldn't say it is bad enough that I wouldn't recommend. The staff is friendly and I'm hoping that with time things will get better.

December 2015 A place for Daddy AT Brookdale, Sunrise, fl. My father 94yrs was an independent person. His only need was a cane to walk, wheel chair and hearing aids. after a long search my family and I went to the facility at Sunrise, FL and we like what we saw. WHAT I LIKE Most; The Friendly staff. A nice looking dining facility. nice stylish furniture, game room, library and movie room. Overall a Nice place to leave. A comfortable private room with new carpets and fresh paint. A private bathroom with safety equipment and screen patio. Overall the facility looks nice, At the time we were moving, they were remodeling the inside of the buildings with new paint and decorations. WHAT I Don't like. the back part entrance for the moving companies was dirty with oil and dead roaches next to one of the entrance of the dining facility. Door open 24 hrs.No security guards during the day and night. No RN during the night shift and one CNA assigned to the whole floor during night shift and week ends. The building consist of 4 floors with a Gran total of 200 patients. MY RECOMMENDATION; Need more personnel. RN's, CNA'S, maintenance personnel and another activity director. Bilingual than can perform differents activities and cultural events. to keep the patients alert and happy. My father payed the month of December in advance . He stay in the bedroom only two days. The second night he start having pain in his leg call the RN ,but she never shows up and next day we took him to the hosp and he never came back to Brookdale. He passed on Dec 23,2015 and now he is with GOD. RIP!

My mother has officially moved in. The apartment is clean and spacious. The neighboring residents are very pleasant and inviting. I would have to say that the 3rd floor is very hot and it is a very long distance to walk to dining. However, I suppose the walk is good exercise. I am told that the suppers are not very good. I am hoping she will get very involved in the activities. I would like to personally meet all the management staff. Of course, I met the marketing dept and the receptionist.

My dad was there less than 30days and he fell and broke his hip. We gave an 30day notice when he moved in because we were not sure about it. I don't think that they have enough people for the amount of residents they have. They may need a different system for room arrangements.

Our experience with Brookdale Sunrise has been somewhat mixed, but after touring a few communities in the area it is definitely the nicest that I saw. The facility itself is well kept and clean, and the staff are friendly and helpful for the most part. However, I do think they are a bit understaffed in the memory care section.

The residents that I have met have seemed very happy. There are a lot of activities to keep them busy and alert. Most of the staff seems happy with what they do. I know it takes a special person to attend to the aged. That being said, my mother has been in the health care unit for almost 2 months. I have NEVER received a call from the doctor or anyone else to update me on her recovery from the three falls she's had while in their care. I have received several calls about setting up an apartment for her to move in to without much guidance about insurance coverage. A little bit of the cart before the horse. It seems like the right hand doesn't know what the left is doing and certainly not keeping the family in the loop.

Atria North Escondido the facility is nice. My mother is very pleased with the cleaning they do. The quality of the food is not good and they may serve soup that is stone cold. The service might be very slow too due to not enough staff working. The personnel are very friendly and want to please. There are a lot of activities but mom does not participate. Overall it is a good enough place.

The Courtyard at Coeur d' Alene staff were very nice and professional, but they seemed to be short staffed. There was never a licensed nurse on board at the facility and I feel like they needed more one on one time with the physician. I am registered nurse and this is something that is important to me. Especially when dealing with the elderly. Things can turn serious so fast.

Less expensive than other options. Very clean. AC was on too high which made the place seemed cold. Staff had a professional, but cool vibe to match the too high AC. Cost is slightly lower than the competition, but nowhere near as inviting.

We are pretty happy with them but, there are some things that could be better. She doesn't like the food so much, but she loves the desserts. I feel that the dining room that isn't on the independent side, they get kind of skimped on, and they run out of things frequently. It feels like they get the left overs. The independent dining room has a salad bar, but the others dining rooms don't. It doesn't seem that everyone gets the same quality. Housekeeping doesn't seem as thorough as I would have thought. Lately, I have noticed some odors in the hall that were unbearable. I would like to see them do more inviting people to activities, rather than just sign ups posted on a bulletin. It would be nice if they seemed interested in keeping the residents as independent as possible for as long as possible. When I chose them, I had the impression that the care would be more attentive, but it can take a long time for them to respond to a call bell. I also thought the dining rooms were all the same. They are really friendly, and I love Cindy, she is wonderful.

Our experience with Atria was pretty good overall, except that they did not seem to have the personnel needed to deliver the level of service they said that they were going to provide. They were very good people, but we did not receive the level of care that we thought we would. They are a good place for someone who is independent, but not sure for someone who needs one on one care. I just think they need more staff for one on one care.

It's been okay. There were a few hiccups at first, but we pretty much worked it out. The biggest concern has been the number of staff is not being what I would like. I would say they are a little understaffed. I haven't really had any complaints about food.
