At the beginning independent residents had all help needed. We had pendents but only if we paid for them. They would have no response. Ever if we are here because we are seniors whatever need we have to call ourselves all. After 8 pm there is no service. For whatever need we have. The Meridian could be great if the owners would spend a little more money to give us the service we need and deserve for the money we pay. The reason I am still here is because my family lives in San Marcos, otherwise I would move.

Have lived here 4 1/2 years and it is not living up to "fine dining & Luxury living" the food definitely needs improving!

I do not like the one. Everything is too spread out and a lot of walking.

The length of time for assistance is too long. Food supply should be more acceptable.

I believe it is above average. We are in independent living so we are blessed. We can still make decisions. We do plan to stay here…

They often were slow at button call help and failed sometimes to understand she is almost blind and can't hear well.

The staff members here seemed very nice but I am not happy with the administration. My Mother-In-Law, unfortunately, passed away last month and I had to call them two days later to see what we should do next. No one called me to give me their condolences. It doesn’t take much to call and say sorry and I just don’t see the compassion or follow through. I felt like we got no attention after she had passed. She was only here for 9 days and we still have not received a refund check and they even wanted to keep most of the community fee. The facility even said they canceled the auto pay but somehow they still took out the next month’s payment. Anytime I have tried to call, they seem really hard to get ahold of. This has just created a lot of frustration I really don’t need at this time. I would not recommend this community because of the administration.

Lovely facility.

My mom is in this community there is a lot of good things about this community but they need to improve in other areas. When we first got here there were a bunch of medication errors. And I think maybe that has been ironed out. And the billing is way off and they need to communicate better with us about that. The plus here is mom can keep her dog here. We like the set up here and the grounds. Mom is close to the dining room but the food is horrible and the say they are working on that but they have special corporate receipes they have to follow. The staff is nice and helpful. I would tell people to do their searching before choosing this community.

Liked a lot but was worried Dad would get lost going back to apartment

This community was nice but I had to wait for a while for the tour when I had an appointment. The person who did the tour was nice and helpful. She answered all of my questions. They did have more amenities here and they had a bus here also. But at the end of the tour I was shocked after she told me how much the deposit and monthly rent would be. And it was way out of our budget.

[Removed] was a nice gentleman that gave me the tour and he answered all of my questions. The property was small. The location wasn't ideal, there were lots of broken down cars on the street where they were located. Didn't feel very welcoming to me. I wouldn't feel safe leaving my mom here.

Too much like a nursing home.

I really appreciate everything they do for me.

I like them cooking for me I think my room is nice. Definitely like all the activities: Shopping, bingo, poker, casino is highlight of my life.

When I was here 5 years ago we had less help, less washers and dryers and more got done than what’s happening now. Mother same when I first came here. Issues with getting laundry. Food service has improved but turnover in the staff is too much. The staff now is still very great and superb. Difficult for me because I’m blind. He loves management.

Staff is very friendly and caring. Seems to be under staffed for the number of residents (i.e. CNA's) but non-nursing staff seems willing to help when needed.

nice front desk receptionist. Incredible caregiver - [Removed]in memory unity. "New" med tech fantastic. There are concerns I have as a professional that more staff needs to be available at all times to provide appropriate care.

It is good. Needs more consistency. Listen when the person tells them not to do laundry when they are told by someone else that I have called. She is happy here.

Staff turnover seems high.
