This place is horrible, just stay away from this place , there is absolutely no compassion, no customer service, no responsibility, [name removed] seemed to be ok, but just a straight up liar, she will agree with you and promise to make sure everything will be good and it happens again, and again, and again. There is absolutely no accountability for this place , the turn over on employees is the worst I have ever seen. I so wish this place was different , I wish there was some accountability for this place , at the very least , don't llore to me in my face . [name removed] has lied to me numerous times, she has no accountability , the staff has no accountability , there are no rules nor regulations in this place . No wonder why every one is leaving at such an alarming rate .: LIARS. Take your love ones somewhere else .

The facility is unkept, the adm is terrible, there is staffing issues/ always short, and cheapest food available.

The first 20 days, the food was almost inedible. I gave my notice to leave about 45 days from the time I moved in. For that big above facility, the administration was inadequate. About 2 weeks after my notice, the food improved, and it looked like they were trying to make the environment a little better.

I feel I was taken advantage. The cottages was clean and the people friendly . My mom was too sick for their care but they accepted her, took a large payment , and sent her to the emergency room the next day. I called the admin and she avoided me. Would not recommend.

Told we had a New Chef (did not realize Bartender experience was considered Culinary School). The Kitchen Appliances have been broken for months. Food served is cold & lucky if it’s edible. Nothing fresh just frozen. Halls can be hot for heat running on hot days. Some of the Compressors have not been fixed in weeks so some residents have no air cond. Lots of employee turnover in last year. Residents now are moving other places. Not sure what going on since a company called Pacifica bought the place, but not hearing good info. But their advertising is top notch & full of lies.

Please read this before making any decisions about this facility: • Rapid decline in just 11 days: Our mom lost 10 pounds in only 11 days. • Paid for Level 4 care – received less than minimal:We paid top-tier for full support—bathing, feeding, toileting, mobility, etc.—and staff treated her as if she needed no assistance at all. • Completely understaffed: Only one staff memberfor 15 memory care residents. Absolutely worst care for Memory Senior Living. Please do more research before considering this facility. Patients left alone for hours, not given showers, food is deplorable and very understaffed. My Family member went in Healthy and left 10 days later in an ambulance due to a fall. Not discovered for hours. She lost 10 pounds in 10 days. We got her home and could never get her back to Health. Our dad was at Alta Vista for three weeks. He fell five times in six or seven days. If they are totally independent then it's a good place. However, they are understaffed at night. Before we moved him in he needed help going to the bathroom at night. That was our main focus. I don't think I told you he fell 5 times in six or seven days because they were not checking on him. We got him out. He was only there three weeks.

Across the board. Bad Experience. Management and Care was lacking for the months they served my father

This facility should be careful about calling themselves a Memory Care unit. My dad was there for [amount of time removed] and they tried to evict him. We were told he was difficult and being physical. We explained how difficult he was and was told that's why he should be in their facility. We were forced by the facility to pay a few thousand dollars to hire 24 hour care while I looked for another facility since they refused to care for him with their normal caretakers. It has been over a month since I moved him into a new facility and they still have not returned my dad's jacket I got him for Christmas. They said they cleaned it and when my brother went to the facility to get it, they conveniently couldn't find it. This seemed like a nice place but we found out later unless you sit all day and watch TV they are not capable of handling any dementia patients. My dads new facility is much better. They didn't make any promises they haven't kept. They know dementia patients are difficult and they are willing to work to try and make the patients feel at home. I would not recommend Meridian at all.

I have multiple friends that live here and since the new management there is NO Transportation to speak of. The bus does not run and even if it did it has no wheelchair lift. Residents are instructed to call ride service and pay for it themselves! Their advertisements say transportation is provided and complimentary. People in this type of community clearly need transportation to medical appointments. Budgets are planned on it. This change is definitely contrary to their current website!

-0 on all!! 1 ).... This place was a total disgrace to say the least & they did Not even clean as they promised before I moved in !! I had I believe it was 6 weeks before I moved in & was a dirty mess !! I didn't feel at all welcome when moving in when I had problems & went & told them nothing got done & was told the gal who hired me was no longer there either !! 2) .... It was Not clean as promised. I should have gone back over 2 days before my move in & checked but was packing & busy aside from the fact they kept promising me sll would be cleaned. The gal quit I was told just before I did move in. The refrigerator really needed cleaning as dirty inside & door shelves a real mess, kitchen & both bathroom sinks were dirty, washing machine had gunk all around top when lifting the lid, dryer still very full of lint, floors were dirty & things stuck on floor, master bath toilet dirty & ants all over the floor there & in the kitchen floor, stripping between carpet & tole floor in each doorway had gunk coming out from under it, refrigerator leaked water from somewhere yet Didn't have an ice maker in it, kitchen faucet had to be screwed down as moved around, & none of the carpets were cleaned !! I called the fire dept. "2" as leaking natural gas at cooking stove & they advised me to Not use the cooking stove at all so had to buy an electric skillet to cook my meals or go out & eat !! 3) .... New girl often at desk when I paid rent & not very friendly, management would hardly even acknowledge you. 4) .... I can't speak about quality of care as didn't need that area !! 5) .... Administrative Staff avoided you when you came in & didn't speak. 6) .... As for the food I looked at it 3 different times & didn't look good & "1st" time I looked at it there were ants crawling all over the plate & area it sat on !! In checking back later the food was Not appetizing at all then either so never checked again !! Area didn't even smell appetizing when walking into the dinning room either !! 7) .... I never was told of any activities & just assumed there were none as never saw anything listed nor told there was snything to do. 8) .... This whole experience was most Extra Costly for me as had to hire movers again to get moved out !! For what it cost at this place, it was a super JOKE & I have told absolutely every one what a Total Old Run Down Dump that this whole Expensive Sad Experience this was !! Just "1" month before leaving I requested someone come look at this dump. The man who came down, with both the 2 young maintenance boys, told me he was one of the owners. I took him to the master bathroom & showed him all the "Ants" all over the floor & he just shrugged his shoulders. When I showed him all the gunk on the floor under the strips between carpet & tile where gunk was coming out, both times he said Well, why haven't you cleaned this up ?? I reminded him immediately was to be done before I moved in & also that I was "83" years old & can't get down on the floor !! About this same time I found out one of the management was jailed for Embezzlement of stealing "money" as she was doing the books !! There have been at least 5 executive directors in the last 2 years. When the residents press their pendants it can take several hours to get a response. There is very poor communication from the on site management, and you can't reach upper management at all. It's cheap, that's about the only redeeming quality of this place.

This was the first time I ever had to do anything like this. Meaning, choose an adult living four a family member.... A place for mom make the process easy. I just chose the wrong place... everything looked good on the outside and sounded good, but it wasn't. 1. My experience was BAD 2. The facility is very clean on the front line... When it comes to the room, just ok. 3. Everyone is nice. 4. Very under staffed. Care for love ones is poor... love are left in room or hallways most of the time.... 5. Administrative staff are nice. They don't know what goes on. It's behind the scenes. 6. The food is good. The problem is that there's nothing in between breakfast and lunch. Our lunch and dinner. When you go there, there's fruit setting outside, but when you go into living quarters, there's nothing for your loved ones.... 7. Due to staffing being low, there's not a lot of activities. They like to sit the loved ones in front of the TV. 8. For what you're paying for a single room... No one's taking care of your loved one the right way.... I had to replace my aunt's clothing every month. Someone even took her bedding. They called me with problems every week about the dementia. So for the employees that are there, they are not even trained to work in that field.. I had to place my loved one somewhere else..

They promised to watch his blood sugar as he was diabetic and KNEW. 3 days at facility and i demanded they call paramedics. Blood sugar was 468 when they got there and over 526 when admitted to hospital. 9 days in hospital like hell I was putting him back there.

I have nothing good to say about Pacifica Bonita- I moved after 3 weeks. First of all, they didn't have a bus for eight months when I moved in and the people were all complaining at the meeting. I was told that if I had to go to the doctor, I had to take a cab and then there's the food. The food was awful. They didn't have a good chef and I felt so sorry for the people that couldn't leave there. They're stuck in there cause they didn't have a relative to help him get out of there. I was fortunate that I had my son. I was told that they had a bingo group or a Bridge group and that was a joke. They didn't have a Bridge group and they only have bingo and there was about five people that played that for the most part the floor that I was on, everybody stayed in their room. They got fed in their room. They didn't walk. It was a very depressing place. They lied all the way through about everything they lied about I didn't have TV for the first five days. The shower didn't even work. I couldn't get it turned on. They had to have somebody that came and turned it on for me and then she come back about two hours later and turn it off. I can't say one good thing about them. One more thing the fire department came and they didn't tell anybody and the alarms are going off and I called. I push that little button that they said that saves your life and four hours later the gal came and told me what it happened. I went to the elevator, the elevator didn't work up. I'm up on third floor. I can't walk and that's the way they treated you

Initially, I was very grateful to have found Pacifica Senior Living Sunrise, and their amazing team. [name removed] provided lots of help, patience and guidance in helping my Mom find the perfect new home. Beautifully decorated, and well-kept property and community. The community and residents are very warm and inviting. Then, I discovered mold in my mom’s apartment during the first week of October and promptly informed the maintenance team. Unfortunately, the actions taken did not remove the mold and my mother continues to experience symptoms such as sneezing, coughing, runny nose, aches, and pains for months, which the Dr confirmed are directly related to mold exposure. The building have mold, do not move your family member into this facility.

Mom was recently transported to Salinas’ hospital because Salinas had a trauma unit. My Mom had fallen down and had some internal bleeding. By 9 AM the next day, the bleeding had stopped (no surgery), and she was cleared for discharge at 12 noon. My Mom called Park Lane and asked for transport. Park Lane refused the request. Google map shows the shortest distance from Park Lane and Salinas’ hospital is 21.3 miles. It was up to Park Lane and the hospital to arrange transportation. Salinas hospital noticed Mom was on Medicare. If the patient required gurney transport (ambulances transport by gurney), then Medicare and no one else would have to pay for the transport. After waiting 7 hours, my Mom must have been exhausted. At 7 PM, while still waiting, she fell down, hit her head, and died. All she wanted to do was go back to Park Lane and be with her friends, whom she had come to like very much. I hope no one else had to write their Mom's obituary on Christmas. Just the facts.

I would not recommend Pacifica Senior Living Sunrise due to a serious mold issue in my mother’s apartment. While the staff was friendly and helpful, the management’s handling of the mold problem was unacceptable. Within weeks of moving my mother into what was supposed to be a “newly remodeled” apartment, she began experiencing alarming symptoms, including a runny nose, coughing, eye irritation, skin rashes, and overall discomfort. We discovered mold growing on her belongings—purses, shoes, towels, and even furniture. Despite reporting the issue promptly, it took over three weeks of complaints to get any real action. The janitorial staff attempted to clean the mold by washing walls and repainting, but the mold returned. After a temporary move-out for treatment, mold was still found on items like towels and an umbrella holder. How can management claim the mold was “fixed” when it clearly wasn’t? Think twice before placing your loved ones here. Their health/safety should come first
