Pacifica Senior Living

Sometimes we go into my parent's room and it clearly hasn't been cleaned. The sink is often dirty and bathroom is unkempt. The staff at Pacifica is often not very agreeable. They are frequently understaffed and the care givers often seem overwhelmed. As a result of this, they aren't able to pay adequate attention to the residents, who are usually put in chairs and left alone. We also do not feel like the community is worth the price. The community is quite expensive and we do not feel the level of care is where it needs to be. When we signed up with the community they had an activity director, who no longer works there, and as a result, there is nothing for the residents to do.

In general, the management is helpful. Our dining experience has changed. The quality of our food has changed, as well as adhering to senior's diet needs. Too many starches, etc. I assume it is due to budget constraints. The grade of meat, fish, and fowl is lower in quality. Disappointing. Also, our 5-6% increase in our rent was not appreciated.

Staff was pleasant but then became a bit irritated with several questions asked and request to view multiple units in different locations. No sidewalk to street. Parking on street for guests. Lobby nice size and comfortable cozy feel. Halls were quite wide and baby blue. The color wasn't very appetizing for us. Extra storage space available for additional cost. Lunch and Dinner included with cost. Dining Area was a bit tight, but the servers were kind. Wait time for meal to arrive was a bit long. Nice scenic view of trees from dining room. nice patio area with tables, chairs, flowers, fountain and plants. Laundry rooms placed throughout building. Housekeeping included with cost. Room for Yoga, TaiChi or personal quiet time. Loft common area with TV screen. No actual library, books in a hallway on bookshelf. Community located next to public park and public library. Community does not have gate around property. Trail behind community with immediate access from first floor apartments. Units nice size with full kitchen. emergency pull cords in bathroom and bedroom. Walk in closets. Updated cabinets. New carpet. outdoor carpet on patio/balcony. Community outings. Rides to doctor appointments. Personal shopper for additional cost.Residents seen all appear to be happy, joyful, and friendly. Large community with one way in and one way out with receptionist at entry point. Staff does 'safety' checks on residents twice a day as a courtesy. There was a slight odor, but not too disturbing. Maybe windows just needed to be open. AC/Heat personal control in each unit. Staff seen appeared friendly and kind had smiles.Community located in circular neighborhood with private homes (HOA) and apartments. Very quiet with trees and turkeys throughout even on community property. Also wild rabbits. Community seemed well aged certainly on outside and most inside areas. Was told they're transitioning. Cost was a bit pricey for units. Another side of community located on busy street. Shopping and family restaurants nearby.

Nice and had beautiful veiws of the southern forest! Had a memory skilled facility , and was much smaller usnits then others. Very sacure site and clean. Offered a shared living room which was unique. One rrom was very spacious and easy wheelchair access. Patients mostly would be indoors. Higher end of price range.

I like this community. For my needs centrally located. Like the 2 bedrooms big refrig.

The facility is well maintained; staff is attentive, though significant turnover; communication with those responsible for the resident is poor.

I was not impressed with the Atrium. The room I saw did not smell fresh, the 2nd floor hallway carpets had not been vacuumed well. We had lunch and the food was just okay. Meal schedules are not convenient. The Sales Director who gave us the tour was very nice and helpful.

I visited Crosswood Oaks without an appointment today and was not impressed. The building was too warm and stuffy. They don't serve breakfast and just a kitchenette - no stove or no microwave. Staff was very friendly and residents seemed nice.

I am no longer searching for care. My 94 year old father is not doing well and I did not visit this facility. I must say the contact at this facility was very informative and helpful.

I loved the layout of the cottages for the memory. But when we first walked into the administration office it was a bit old and somewhat dirty. I used the bathroom down the hallway and the bathroom had paper towels on the floor and the floor was dirty. Saw the cottages and the rooms were small and old looking. For a semi private room there was no wall or curtain between the two beds. No privacy. The staff was really nice.

As lovely and inviting as it is, it's showed me that it's possible to be too large and too segregated between communities.

The staff is great! After 6:00 pm is a bit of a problem. You are left standing outside waiting for someone to let you in. If you don't have a cell phone, it's really a problem. The place could use updating and the carpets cleaned. Would be awesome otherwise.

Location looked dated. Visited in early June 2018 and the third floor was uncomfortably warm. Very few large units.
