We would rate the friendliness and the staff a 0. They need to hire more staff that cares.

The place is very disappointing, once you are pass the visit and move in ,the staff knows nothing about you as a individual Nor do they seem very enthusiastic about their jobs other than the receptions and people in the cafeteria are very nice and helpful Memory care location stinks and the staff don’t seem to be well trained in the area of people with dementia or understand the care they need

Inadequate bathrooms in public spaces. No heating in dining room. Laundry service at an extra fee. Activities are limited outside the facility to small number of residents and limited activities at the facility. Food is cold and limited alternative options. No food services outside of 3 meals.

While they would like you to believe your loved ones will be well taken care of, this simply isn’t the case. Understaffing is a huge issue, Non-English speaking caregivers, rude staff, unresponsive management, no follow-up to concerns raised. Look elsewhere, you will not be happy with the services provided here guaranteed!

I am rating the current place which is no longer an assisted living but a 55+ facility. They could improve everything-it is still 90% unoccupied

It is not well maintained (e.g. downed lights, trash, animal droppings on the walkways) and many residents refuse to eat the poor quality food. I would absolutely not recommend Wyndham Lakes to anyone.

In terms of quality there are re couple bright spots in staff. This is helpful in dealing with the issues that invariably come up. But generally the care is not commensurate with the cost. And the constant requests to renegotiate the cost is oppressive. We chose the community based on presentation, people care and cost. Our expectations were immediately impacted after contract signing and upon move in when the day of move in they attempted to renegotiate the cost and care level. A virtual bait and switch that came with the "well if we can't come to an agreement we may have to cancel the agreement". It made an already extraordinarily stressful situation incredibly more stressful.

Unless management has changed, this is not a safe environment for your loved one. They are a no lift community so as your loved one ages, they will not be able to get them out of bed and into a wheelchair. They do not disclose their limitations so there is no way of dealing with people who end up with physical limitations besides to let them lie in bed and grow bed sores. All of these establishments go through managerial and staffing changes and the phase that they were in when my dad was being cared for meant that he was not being cared for adequately. We reported the facility to the state and I'm sure that they will go through a series of change and hopefully become a better environment for people.

My loved one didn't get the care they needed. I was told they could handle them, but after a while they were constantly complaining about the trouble my loved one was causing them. If your loved one is low maintenance, then this place is great, but if they are high maintenance then this place is not for them.

We moved my mom to [facility name removed] since [date removed] and our family and my mom are very happy. It has been a great experience there! They did not have one family affair involving memory care with assisted living. Memory care at Hillsborough feels like a mental institution. You could not visit whenever, they would throw you out at 7pm.

I LIVED HERE BEFORE PACIFICA BOUGHT GOLD COUNTRY SENIOR LIVING AND FOUND IT TO BE A FRIENDLY HOME, MORE THAN ANY OTHER I VISITED. THE FOOD WAS GOOD, BUT THAT HAS CHANGED TO NOT SO GOOD, THAT'S THE BEST WAY I CAN PUT IT. THIS MAY IMPROVE WHEN THE RENOVATION IS COMPLETE, BUT SOMEHOW I DOUBT IT. I BELIEVE THE FOOD BUDGET HAS BEEN CUT TO AN EXTREME, AND SOMETIMES THE FOOD IS NOT EATABLE. THIS NEEDS TO CHANGE. IF IT DOESN'T THE OWNER'S WILL HAVE WASTED THEIR MONEY RENOVATING. THE RENOVATION IS NOT WHAT YOU WOULD EXPECT OF A SENIOR LIVING PLACE IN PLACERVILLE. THIS IS COUNTRY, NOT SOUTHERN CA. WE LIKE COMFORT AND GOOD FOOD.

Yes they have room service, WITH a $[fee removed] charge per plate, per that service. Grubhub doesen't' even charge that!! $[fee removed] for laundry They have taken away the right for residents to put a wreath on their door. The staff is so short, there are times when residents can't do some activities. They use to take out the trash. No, the resident must take care of that. What will they take away or charge for next?????

I would not suggest putting a movie in to the Meridian at Westwood. The staff isn’t professional or very nice. They are very rude. I lived there a year at first it was OK for the past and then everything started going bad. They cannot keep help. The food is no good when we took a tour the things that we have asked before I moved in about certain things which was all a lie all they care about is, but is getting money. The place is not kept up. It has mold and mildew when I live there in the room and highways the roof leaks when it rains, the front entrance stage wet and is very slippery in the hallway when I was there also, the food is nasty. The cooks don’t know how to cook the right meals the washer dryer stayed broke and the elevators would stay broke ther are better places to put loved at Merdian

All residents given a necklace push button to call for help. My Dad pushed it several times, no one ever came to check on him. Many residents felt if they fell, they would be there a very long time without help. There were consistent food item shortages - no milk for coffee one day, no tuna the next day. My father had poor nutrition there. He couldn't read the menu and no one ever told him his options. A sandwich was alone on a plate. No fruit was ever served and healthy suggestions for a balanced diet never offered. The carpet in the halls never seemed to be vacuumed and there were roaches in the bathroom. No encouragement to join activities. Activities not as they are described. Advertised Thanksgiving buffet with many choices, never happened. Not enough staff, poor attitudes. My Dad did have a spacious one bedroom apartment with a balcony over looking a well kept courtyard with trees.

Housekeeping could be better and he kept taking things out of our room without permission. The staff need better training. They also needs someone who understands English better.

I clean every time I'm there! Everything feels dirty. The friendliness of the staff is between 2/3 (variable, daytime staff is better than nighttime staff. Lots of turnover. Many of staff are hard to understand/communicate with because of language. I provide independent self-pay care for my mother daily outside of their staff as I do not feel like they provide adequate and enough care. Not overly proactive. Overall food has been fine; however, recently ketchup was served as the salad dressing. I would give the activities a zero if this was an option as there are none that I have seen.

The main issue I have is the staffing levels. Honestly I think the staff is very caring & loving but there is just not enough of them to help all the residents. This has been since my loved one has moved in. The management is aware and admits to me the problem, but still has done very little to correct the situation. I understand it can be hard to find help but this problem has gone on for so long I am starting to think they are gaslighting me.

My dad hated it there. He only stayed for a few months before moving somewhere else. The Food was his biggest complaint and base don the experience we had, we would not recommend this community to other families.

When we toured the facility, we were more than welcome with open arms, and obviously the facility was talked up and that’s normal when you’re trying to get somebody to move in they were under construction, which is nice however, I think they went with the cheapest flooring because it’s all wavy and it’s not all completely finished, but it’s not the greatest job in the whole world for the construction that they’re doing. We’re having issues with my mother-in-law‘s room mate to be exact, we seem to find feces all over the floor and we have to hunt down an aid or a nurse to come and clean it up. You were having the roommate moved out of her room and hopefully that will help also even though we labeled my mother-in-law‘s clothing she’s wearing somebody else’s clothes and we’re not quite sure where all the rest of her clothes are at so you know , we were sold, but we’re very disappointed that we’re paying

We moved my loved one out about 6 months ago. There were two instances where they failed to respond to my dad's beeper request during a health emergency. There is no accountability and no follow up. No peace of mind for family.
