Pacifica Senior Living

Needs updating in bathroom. Overall, it's alright. Dining room is very bad, the noise level is very very bad. Meals are lukewarm or cold.

The care staff at Pacifica Senior Living is very friendly - but they are considerably understaff and stretched. My dad fell a few times and was discovered in his room. They sent him to the hospital and never contacted his wife.

I love the staff. There just isn't enough of them and they are not trained well. The ones we have are kind and caring. They are not being paid a livable wage. The food is awful for this age group, I think.

I would say it is ok. They need more activities for the residents though. I would say it was passing ,but I would spend time comparing to other communities. It was on but probably better options out there. We picked this community, because of the location and discussion of activities that never seemed to materialize.

Don't expect a refund if they owe you one. Despite the fact that they acknowledged that they owed us $[removed] upon checkout, they have been derelict in their duty to provide the refund and have completely ignored us. They do not answer our calls. They do not respond to Better Business Bureau inquiries or inquires from the Idaho attorney general. As far as the care they provided while our loved one was there, they would call us when there was an issue rather than handle it themselves.

They are sorely understaffed and the food is TERRIBLE! Nice looking facility, and the people who work there are good, but they need to hire a lot more.

We toured with Meridian at Stone Creek and it was too far. We also didn't care for the floor plans of the units. The entrance is lovely, both outside and lobby as well.

We toured Meridian at Lantana during our search for Assisted Living for our loved one. There were some pluses and some minuses for us at this facility. Ultimately, we found a different facility that better fit our loved one's needs.

The overall experience at Pacifica Senior Living community was good, however they need to pay a little more attention to the needs of their residents.

Very beautifully decorated tables and décor. Tea sandwiches fruit, deserts, etc. Piano accompaniment raffle, games. It was a sweet tie to honor mothers and allow families an opportunity to honor and celebrate them.

The staff was very difficult to work with hard time with communication, checking on loved one , getting outside medical care access , getting her services like nails and hair was impossible. [name removed], the manager of the place is a terrible person. She made every interaction unpleasant. She is the reason we moved my loved one. Get rid of [name removed]. She really is the only problem. The staff was nice , but would not give us any updates on her care or daily demeanor with approval from [name removed]. We were concerned she wasn't getting her meds properly , but nobody was allowed to answer our questions unless [name removed] was there. As far as I know [name removed]has no medical credentials. It was the strangest most inappropriate relationship.

Our family had an in-person tour with Pacifica Senior Living Sunrise and overall we thought the community and tour was nice but it was just not going to be the best fit for our loved one at that time.

I would tell others looking into Pacifica Senior Living Forest Trace that they need to be careful with two things. It would seem there is some type of kickback relationship between them and the healthcare providers they use and get very touchy about you finding your own providers in the area. Also, the kitchen is unable to accommodate easy things like low sodium diets.

Honestly the facility seemed a little big and empty. The food was institutional quality and served cold. Staff calls could take a hour or more for a response. Due to our experience, I would not recommend Tampa Gardens Senior Living.

I chose this place due to the fact I thought it was an ideal setting for our loved one. I wish the administrative staff would stay in touch when loved ones contact them. I have tried to call the resident care director about upcoming appointments and concerns. It takes too long to hear back. I also was told that patients in memory care could have free cable TV in their rooms, only later to learn from someone else that is not true. Please know that keeping in touch with family members is important in retaining your clients.

Terrible communication from executive director, minimal interaction with residents from caregivers, since visiting hours are limited and do not include dining hours it's hard to make sure residents are eating, staff does not monitor/encourage water consumption, activities in each cottage is scarce.

I have a friend who has been living here for just o er a year now. Never any problems, until he was just notified that they are raising the care fees. His level of care has not changed but they are increasing the fees by 80%.!!! Almost double!! This is shocking. How can they expect elderly people on fixed incomes to suddenly have an increase in care costs to this extent? An increase of $800 a month!! Just ridiculous!

The administration staff has changed over the past few months. Some of the other staff members is very sweet. They are in transitional phases. The food is fine. The place could be a nice place, but they have had a lot of staff turnover.

The community itself is very nice and very nice, and the staff that are there are very friendly and nice. However just like many other places they are struggling keeping a full staff and because of that, the promises we were sold on are not being followed through with. We were told they would have activities, but there is not activity director so the activities are very limited. The meals themselves are good, but the dining service could be better - in terms of picking up after meals. Also there is construction across the way so the parking is limited as well.

The management team hasn't been responsive to the family's communication and follow up has been a struggle. There is a good value for what you get for the money. The food seems to be delivered cold, they could use more options, and my loved one doesn't care for the meals, other than breakfast. The community is able to provide some light housekeeping, and laundry for linens and this is a scaled pricing.
