The room I was saw was very small. My queen bed wouldn’t fit and no living space. While I was there I saw no residents other than one in the lobby. Also no inter action with staff other than my guide. I am looking forward for a little larger place as this was small. Also given no information on other rooms that might become available later.

Lousy parking, had to ask numerous times fir things to be fixed, some never were after months.. The care staff was great up to a point, then it was time to move her. Just little things bugged us. It is a nice place..

She was happy most of the time while there. She liked all of it.

It was affordable, but their attention to detail lacks greatly! My dad seems happy. However, they are very slow to respond to requests and not great at returning calls. My father is on hospice now...it will be days to weeks, so unfortunately our time there will not be long

The setting is in downtown San Leandro so city living is an adjustment, including dealing with homeless population. But actual apartment although small is within building that is kept clean. But the upside is availability the broad choices of dining options as well as other stores like Safeway, Walmart, CVS pharmacies ,Post office, banks and service providers including dry cleaners to beauty shops and even nearby Kaiser Hospital and car dealerships. Building is older and quaint court yard ; maintenance issues like garage door opener breaking and long time to repair have provided parking challenges for residents who still drive. Staff are professional and courteous.

There has been a frequent overturn of Directors, nurses and staff. NOT chef prepared meals. Apartments not cleaned well. Clothes items frequently missing.

Dining, maintenance, and nursing staff are very helpful. The different amenities and entertainment options for residents are great. Dining course selections are loved by my dad. Unfortunately, communication between management and residents and guardians like myself is not as good. This could impact the care that a resident receives. Also I highly recommend family caregivers to be highly involved with the facility to ensure their loved ones are receiving the care they need. The facility also went under company ownership changes. It is now called Lake Forest Trace Senior Living. Level of Care prices increased about 58% for a tier.

I work quite a bit. I'm very rarely here. However, so far it's been pretty good. Some of the repair work .And the times that they do the repairing is somewhat questionable. But overall, I would give it a three

My mom is happy with her cottage, but hasn't had the best experience with the managers there. They promised several things during our tour that weren't true. Now the cottages aren't even reserved for 55+ any longer.

The staff in assisted were mostly kind and friendly. However they do the bare minimum and are looking to move your loved one up in care every chance they get. No one would help trying to get her adjusted and pit of her room to socialize. The food is mediocre. Not terrible. Staff cannot be bothered to check if she ate or wanted anything different. The staff in memory care isn't much different. We get conflicting stories and promises about what will be helped pr offered. So a big increase in charges has equated to basically the same level of care and level of indifference.

The place has lots of good energy but I feel as if we spoke about a lot of services they were going to provide that, after move in, they said we're not included. The air conditioning was a wall unit that didn't dehumidify well. The trash was in the laundry room and it attracted a lot of flys. My mom's room once had 11 flys I took out. The bathroom is way too small. The one thing that really bothered me the most was that their emergency watch AND bathroom systems didn't work and we reported it multiple times but it was never fixed, resulting in my mom on the floor for 3 days before being found. I just moved her right out after that. We were very upset.

Turn seems to happen too often. There are a lot of care givers that don't speak English (or pretend they don't). Med techs are wonderful. Food isn't. For me it seems like they can't keep good qualified staff.

Activities are good. Many to choose from. Unfortunately they were without their van for several months so no off campus trips were available. Now that the van is back they only have a weekly trip to one of the local stores (Walmart, Target, Publix, etc). One of the reasons we chose Tampa Gardens was due to their outings to area attractions. (Animal shelter, aquarium, etc). None of those are offered any longer. Food doesn't seem as good as when my mom first got there. That could just be her though. Dining room always looks good and the staff is fantastic! Housekeeping could be better. The floors are never mopped. (In the apt)

Mind you my Mother was in the Dementia care unit. There were several things that were unsatisfactory and needed fixing. They were not included in the events that took place in the main building. The alarm system for the doors was completely unsat. Many times I stood outside, before someone answered. The charge nurse was hardly over in the unit. Your staff of caretakers were over worked and under paid, but managed to take care of my Mothers needs very well. I would not recommend this place to anyone.

There does not appear to be enough staff for the number of residents. There also is a difficulty keeping up with needed maintenance of the building and grounds. Communication from staff regarding resident medical issues also needs improvement.

I am aware that my brother does not get a diabetic menu. He is served meals that are not good for him. His apartment is never clean when I visit. Cleaning staff needs help. I think there needs to be more activities for men. Most are geared to women.

The resident care staff are extremely kind and caring but they have recently had a change in the some of the Administration staff and don't get a good vibe from them. The food was not good for quite awhile but is getting better. The large group activities are great but unless they are outside (wonderful area) not very many residents get involved. they have a new activities director so it has gotten better. The facilities are older but clean and comfortable. Most of the residents memory/speaking is quit diminished compared to my mom's. She had a stoke a year before moving her here and that affected her memory and word retrieval. she has improved over the last year and needs more stimulation and less assistance. Hence looking for somewhere else to live

High staff turnover and inconsistent follow through with her care plan plus communication. Lost almost all of her clothes and is wearing whatever they find for her. Hired someone to wash her hair weekly because my sister in law refuses to shower and I pay someone to check on her bimonthly because I live out of state and I don't always know what is going on.

. The staff cares about each person there. I would recommend families to be proactive in communicating with the staff directly.

My experience has been fine with the staff. The facility has undergone recent improvements to all common areas. PS I have recently switched from independent living to 55+ I know longer need the amenities of IL.
