Pacifica Senior Living

It is a brand new building. Very nice, everything was very new, but they were barely opening up their assisted living when I went to tour it, and the grounds were just cement, no gardens or anything like that. Because they were new they didn't have any acts lined up yet. I didn't liked the grounds, they were not very serene. It was basically parking spaces. I think they were formerly condos or apartments that they were converting into a retirement community. It's fine, for a completely independent living person, they are probably good.

For people that really have the money I guess it would be great. It was clean and everything but it just wasn't what I was looking for. It may be new but it wasn't as warm as another place I saw and I was looking for some thing homey and warm.

I believe we found the best place for my friends Russell Mc Farland and Gertrud Kiwitt. Your selection worked very well. We only visited 3 places out of the 6 offered and decided on Emeritus Palm Springs. The staff there was very gracious and helpful. It is difficult to have one person well and one handicapped making this big transition but it is going to be ok with a little more time for Gertrud who is taking it pretty hard. I am coaching them the best I can and there is only one problem for them and that's the food. Not enough variety and usually too salty so I advised Russ to let the staff know that he need a salt free diet. Again a big thank you for your expertise.

I thought everyone was too old there. Everybody was in wheelchairs. It was very pretty and clean but I just felt the people there were really old so my sister-in-law wouldn't have fit in there because she's only in her seventies. They recommended a sister property of theirs. They said it would be a much younger crowd and they were right. That was helpful.

The experience has been since May of 2013 and all seems to be fine with the care for my mother-in-law. Pacifica is prompt on calls regarding any concerns about Mom. The place is really beautiful and the residence are about to go outside into secure grounds so they are not limited to a building. I think that the experiences we have had so far seem fine after all it is a memory care facility and they take full responsiblity for each resident.

The best part of Atria Burlingame is the location. The worst part is the staff turnover. It's okay to have turnover but when it's really noticable, it's not good. My mom is in assisted living and she is not using a lot of the care services. The care is limited in what they offer. If you look at it in terms of actual quality it's probably a 4.5 but in terms of what they offer, it's average. For the activities, I don't think the variety is there to account for the different levels of the residents. My mom has complained that a lot of the the activites are geared towards people who are less mobile and she's still fairly mobile.

Nice, but very confusing on getting around the insides of the building.

The staff was nice. The buildings needs improvements. I believe they started working on this when I moved my mother out.

It was a good experience but the elderly individual that was touring said not for him. As for myself, the courtyard offered serenity.

Staff is very accommodating. I don't get "care" so cannot comment. Management has changed and it seems since going from a non-profit to a profit business there are budget restraints. I notice it in the food department and the entertainment.

My father is happy there. I am slightly irritated with the place bc they don't clean well and the service elevator has been broken for over 6 months with no sign of repair efforts. My father cannot get his couch delivered as a result. In my opinion, that is poor management and being cheap despite the amount of money they charge my father

Unfortunately the people we spoke with did not seem to have a lot of knowledge regarding the services and costs and kept telling us to call XX person. The facility itself looked nice but based on the tour, we were worried about services.

They are heavily using scented oils that are on outlets in the downstairs to cover up smells. Quality of care honestly I don't know. it looks well taken care of and the units were very clean- the food is something that I really don't know about. Never tried the meals and dining service. We went during the holidays so they had plenty of activities. The value for the money was there and the admin staff were lovely. All the residents were great just seemed in more need of care than my mom needed. It's still a great option just not for my mom who can be on her own but her medical records show that she needs full assisted living. It's walking distance to a grocery store and a pharmacy however that's it. Their shuttle bus is only 1x per week to only 2 other grocery stores. So it's a little limiting however for the Bay Area it was a solid option

We picked them because of the location.

I think that Burlingame Senior Living would probably an okay facility for people in the late stages of life and limited income.

This is a nice place. Most residents have a first floor home with screened lanai. The Sales Associate was friendly and answered all of my questions. I stopped two residents to ask their opinion of their home at Whydham Lakes and both said they were happy.

Gardens at Escondido tried but it just didn't work out.

Dalton Senior Living has changed ownership 3 times since July. A few of the consistent staff members are great. However, they could improve on consistency of staff, meds and ownership.

The residents seem to be happy, however they could perhaps improve on the variety of the food. Yes, I would recommend Meridian at Stone Creek to other families.

The staff and caregivers were friendly and helpful. I did not require a lot of attention but there were times when they should have come to the room and did not. The activities director seem to be doing a good job of organizing and giving the residence something they could do.
