Pacifica Senior Living

Overall it has been a very positive experience with Pacifica Senior Living Palm Beach. I have been a little concerned with one particular worker, which I am working with them to address and am hopeful everything will be straightened out and resolved. I like the place and like the people. It is an adjustment to be sure, but mom is getting adjusted.

I think they are doing fine. I have no complaints about Brookdale whatsoever. The food looks good, and smells good. There is a little bit of a disconnect between how serious my loved ones condition is, and how the management responds. They have been good about working with us, if we need something. I think they could do a little more to be proactive with helping the residents to meet each other and socialize.

This was my second choice when I was looking around. It was very nice, the rooms were nice, everything was nice. It was a little less expensive, too. One of my family members noticed a smell, and the feeling when we walked into our first choice was just so inviting, that's why we didn't choose here.

We toured this community when we were looking around. It was clean and the staff was friendly. They seemed to have pretty good activities going on. I don't really know about the value or the care, as we don't have much experience with them.

We toured this community when we were looking into senior living options for our loved ones. This was a very nice looking place, and would have been my second choice. The only issue here was that it was a fairly large campus, with the building being connected by outdoor walkways. My parents would not have liked all of the travel between buildings, especially in the winter.

I think they do a great job overall at Emeritus at Sterling. I'm not the person living there, but my sense is that they are staffed by very caring, sensitive, and thoughtful people. The place is very clean, there are never any odors, and it seems very safe and secure. They take great care of the people who live here, and put a lot of effort into making sure everyone stays entertained and active.

I needed to find a place quickly in Phoenix/Peoria area for my husband since all the facilities near us had no beds or didn't feel they could care for him...I took the advice to call A Place for Mom...got a list of 5 or 6 facilities---could only review them over the phone, so family members did onsite visits to help me out. I am overall very satisfied with Pacifica Peoria, but since I rarely give any rating a straight "5", the things I cannot review well (since I am not there frequently enough) I had to mark down some. I do appreciate how they treat all residents with dignity and respect! So far, I am very satisfied with this facility.

The staff is really friendly. They try to encourage my mom to participate in the activities, which she needs. I really like that about them. They don't communicate with the insurance company as well as I think they should, which has resulted in me not being reimbursed yet as I should have been, though I expect that to be resolved soon. Overall I really like the place.

They are currently putting in a million dollars to renovate the facility. It will be nice when that is complete. They are really going all out, will have a beautiful fire place and all. The rooms are nice, and they are real caring. It would be nice if they had some facilities specifically for exercises.

My friend lives here, I have come to visit, but it's been a little while. She has been doing great here. She really likes it. We don't have any concerns or complaints or anything. So far she is really happy, and that is the most important thing to me.

I like that they really work with, and try to accommodate each individual situation. When we brought my mother in law there, I could finally breathe that she is safe, and that someone is there to help her, and that she hasn't lost all dignity and independence. They treat people as individuals. They worked with her to get her to become social, interact, and be happy at her new home. That was a lot of work. The experience I've had with the activities has been very good, but the person I have there is not very active. From what I've seen it's been excellent. It's in an ideal location, not too close to a major highway. It's convenient and strategically placed. The whole experience has been overall excellent, and has brought our family back together again. Everyone was against my doing this, and now they're very happy participating with her there.

My mom doesn't like the food. It could be fresher. With her care, they follow the rules, they are taking care of her pretty well, with meds. They are attentive when she needs something. When I correspond with them, I get a friendly reply, and they are very attentive It's 20 miles from me, but we live far out in the desert. But everything she needs as far as medical treatment and pharmacies is close to her; this was important in choosing the location.

I have mixed feelings. They are very clean, and the staff is friendly. It's a beautiful place, and everything else is great. They have her get out of her room everyday to do projects. But it was hard as sin to get her medicine straightened out, but I think we finally got that part. The thing they are still struggling with is her oxygen. They don't seem to know how to work the machine, and they let the bottles run out.

We used Atria Daly City for respite care for only ten days. The experience was great! They were very accommodating. Prices were reasonable. They have nurse aides to assist with personal care. They administer medications as needed. My mom loved the food. Just a great place overall. This place will accept people right away, no waiting period like others.

I'm happy with the services at Pacifica Senior Living. The staff is very nice abd very caring. We really appreciate all they do. I would recommend this facility to others.

I'm very satisfied with everything.

per my daughter: Leslie toured the Atria Daly City. She said the building was a bit older but very well taken care of. She is viewing the places and community and people she says looking with my eyes. Shes checking the residents in a way to see if there was anyone residing there I may enjoy spending time. She said there was specifically a group of three women, possibly in their early seventies, animated, laughing and talking. They were nicely dressed and had their makeup applied. She did remark that this facility being in the city did not have many nice outdoor areas, few trees and grass. I will most likely have my dog and would want something not so urban, yet with many amenities nearby. She could only view a studio and she remarked that they were fairly large but agrees that I would prefer a one bedroom. Leslie also commented that Daly City was in the fog belt and could get quite cool and wet at different times during the year. This has me very concerned since my back problems are much worse with more pain on rainy days. She suggest I check out Walnut Creek which is not too far from the city but may have a better climate for me.

Great place will probably use skilled nursing facility after mom's surgery. Not sure if we can afford assisted living.

Of the three we visited, this one came the closer to what we were looking for. Lori Miller no longer there toured with Janet Davidson.
