One thing that we noticed is that they did seem to be short staffed, especially during the night shifts to administer medications. I was very impressed with the amount of activities provided for the residents. I would give the food a five plus, I was here while he was eating and everything looked and smelled good, he was pleased with it. I would recommend them to others looking and already have.

We had a good tour and they spent a lot of time with us, but they could not really answer the question on the exact staff to resident ratio.

I would tell others just to pay attention to the month to month payments and how that all works. They were over the top nice and helpful.

This community was nice, it was a little old fashioned looking and it was also a little too far off locations wise. Also it was missing a lot of amenities that we were looking for and memory care was her only option

The staff members here have been very friendly, they know everyone's name and are greet us when we walk by them. They don't serve breakfast it is more like a continental breakfast, but the lunch and dinners are great. I do enjoy playing bingo, cards and going to the morning exercise classes. The cost is excellent, very affordable because it is month to month. The apartment here is perfect for me, I have a really nice patio.

I feel my loved one is being well taken care of and she is safe. The staff really care about the residents there. They are a great value for the money I would highly recommend this community to others based on my experience.

I think it's in a good location in the Mandarin area of Jacksonville. And it's centrally located to many things nearby. The staff is very welcoming. The food is okay - I imagine it's a challenge anywhere you go where they're mass producing things. I think they offer a lot of activities and choices for things to do, which is good. We've just struggled in getting our loved one to participate.

The community is the best or next to best. The value is good for your money. The community truly has an interest in my loved one and the care they would provide, more than the sale itself. The activities are scheduled with lots of options for the residents.

My loved one is very happy here. It's a really good value. Everything is done for the residents. The staff is super friendly. There seems to be enough activities. Overall, I would highly recommend it.

Our In-person tour was wonderful. I really liked the woman who showed us around. The location was convenient for our family. The deciding factor was it was just too small. The bathroom was teeny tiny. At another place, we could get 100 square feet more with a kitchenette included for same price. I felt like our loved one just needed more living space and a kitchenette to make it feel more like a home. At Chesapeake Place, the location was great, and the staff was great. The people we met were very friendly. And of course during Covid, everybody was trying to get people in. I think Atria was offering a couple of months free at the time. It was just too small. If your loved one wasn’t moving directly from a house, but was moving from say one facility to another, it would probably be fine. But for someone just coming from their own home, it was like moving into a bedroom and just wasn't going to work, especially since she didn't want to move to assisted living in the first place.

My loved one feels safe in this community. The staff adapts to what the residents want and respects their wishes. When you look out the window it looks like a regular. Communication could be a bit better from the staff to the family. I would recommend this community to others

The meals were not that great, and due to covid there was no activities that were offered which we do not blame them at all for that. Our loved one did have one of the biggest rooms there which was nice, however the staff was fairly short handed. There was about five or six bungalows each holding about 12 residents. There was only one main nurse and a floater that would go around those bungalows assisting those who need help. Sometimes you would have to wait for help to come. The property itself was charming and the director worked with us extremely well.

During the time our loved one was there it was a good experience. We were able to see the food they served and it looked good. We think some of the workers there are very good and caring which makes a big difference.

We have not been able to visit the community for awhile, but what what we can see on face time the cleanliness of the community seems nice. Sometimes it is challenging knowing which correct staff members to get a hold of, but we do feel our loved one is being well taken care of.

We chose Alta Vista Senior Living because it was one of the lower costing ones in the area, they had a special going on at the time, and on top of it we were happy with the facility and were aware that they were going through remodeling. Everyone we had contact with was super nice and were willing to work with us. The sizes of the rooms here are great especially compared to others that we looked into, definitely spacious for a studio. It is in a good location, it is down the street from a hospital, doctors offices, etc. I would recommend to others looking.

My mother spent the last 7 years of her life at the Healdsburg Senior Living Community. It was home to Mom and for us too due to the caring, warm and creative environment the staff have created there. At every visit, it was touching to see all the staffs interaction with the residents. They would go out of their way to make them feel wanted and comfortable, and to engage with them. There were always a lot of activities going on and much engagement with the outside community from school kids to local musicians. The remarkable garden and animals at the facility really created a wonderful addition and place of involvement. They were the perfect place to visit and invaluable when grandchildren were along. The gardens gave my mother the opportunity to see and be inspired by life again. The vegetables brought back many memories of her childhood and the chickens just made her laugh. The facility was always perfectly clean. It was such a pleasure to get to know everyone there over the years. My mother was in skilled nursing at the end of her life. The nurses gave her wonderful loving care. I’m so glad my mother was there. There are too many people to thank- Rob the director, [name removed], community engagement, who came up with the idea of the garden and animals, to [name removed] in charge of activities to my mother’s last nurses, [names removed].

My sister is very happy at this community. I would recommend Courtyard. My sister is always telling me that she is happy. The staff are ok, and recently went through a change of nurses.

I have to commend the Staff at Atria-Sterling VA. They truly care for our loved one like they were their own. [name removed] ,the Activities Director has stepped up to the challenge of COVID restrictions and came up with some creative activities to keep people stimulated. It’s comforting to know they care about the people living there and the staff will go out of their way to help each other as well as the individuals living there.
