Great sales representative clean facility Friendly staff. Overall very positive atmosphere and the residents that I saw appeared happy. So we are now considering renting a one bedroom apartment in the facility!

This is our family’s first experience with an assisted living facility and Pacifica Gateway is proving to be a great fit for our loved one. The studio is cozy and well maintained by housekeeping. The staff is caring and meeting all of my mom’s needs. It’s nice to see the facility being updated and there is just enough activities they offer up. Perhaps some more games could be offered there on sight because I believe the bingo takes place at the independent facility across the parking lot. The setting of Poway and being situated in close by hills is truly beautiful. The private courtyard for residents to enjoy is one of our favorite places we frequent during our visits while watching birds! Lastly, my mom enjoys the meals and it’s clear there is thoughtfulness put into the variety of meals there. Also a quick shout out to the very kind activity director for his planning, enthusiasm, and communication!

My brother has moved into their independent living. Assisted living would be out of our reach. So far the staff and facility are lovely. The neighborhood where it's located is outstanding. Almost everything he needs within walking distance or a short ride on public transportation.

Strengths: very communicative to families ongoing. Really partner once a resident. Everyone is super friendly and you feel like they care. Seem to work they don't know what to ask. The staff is very loving to my dad and has nothing but nice things to say about him. He’s been there for almost two years. I especially appreciate the new nurse. She’s been a big help in facilitating his needs. Most of the staff is very supportive and friendly. It’s a big family environment. I’m happy if he’s happy. That’s most important to me.

The closer the staff are to patient the more they impress me. The further staff are from patient care, the less impressed I am with them.. They take good care of Dad, answer questions, listen to my concerns and keep me informed about what is going on with Dad

Love the staff! Food needs improvement, but we would recommend Meridian at Laguna Hills to other families based on the experience so far.

Last week I went to see my Mom, went in her room her toilet was a mess, I needed a plunger because her toilet was clogged at the memory care they did not have one and a staff member told me she did see her toilet had a mess and was waiting for housekeeping, I went to the front desk and she tried calling Mnt they were gone, but she did find a plugger for me, also I saw that her close were not clean and she had about two weeks' worth of cloth in the hamper my sister said the week before she had spoken to a staff member and they told her they would get housekeeping on it and they still never showed up, I was going to was them because house keeping was not there and both machines were full with wet clothes, that is not sanitary cloth smell if kept wet too long. I did report this and haven't heard from anyone.

Many varied activities to keep residents engaged and busy. Clean lovely facility. I highly recommend Tampa Gardens.

It's very clean, there are no underlying bad smells, the residents all seem to be very clean and dressed nicely. I am not there for meals or any activities, so I can't say much about those.

It's a pretty clean place. The staff is very good. The director and head RN are great. Activities director keeps everyone busy and is an absolutely amazing person. Dining is decent food. Dining room itself is nothing special though. There a lot of big personalities among the residents and the staff handles them pretty well. Visiting after 7-8 PM can be difficult, because staff at night is much less and if they are busy you have to wait. Overall experience has been very good.

Pinehurst is very friendly and caring. The location is in a rural setting so they do have some staffing issues. Our loved one was well taken care of and happy and enjoyed the food. Medical services came to the facility to visit in person and pharmacy service was p

The place was clean when I was there the food looked good and the staff that I saw were friendly. Like I said I am not close so I'm not sure how accurate my rating is. They did not seem to have much in the way of activities to keep the residents busy only thing I saw was the television ( my mother in law is not a social person and does not care for games so for her that is not a problem).

So this facility is polar opposite from where we had her before, which was [community removed]. Everything there was modern and brand new and beautiful, but honestly, this facility fits her better. One, it offers Assisted Living while her other facility didn't. And I always felt like the last facility she didn't feel comfortable in, it was just too fancy for her as far as the menu and the activities. She is from the Midwest and came from very humble beginnings so she never quite got comfortable there. This place is definitely not as flashy and the menu is more centered around meat and potatoes etc. There is also a more sense of community at the Cottages. If she wants to eat, she is has to sit in the common dining room. In her last place, she really isolated herself because she had the option of taking food back to her room. So she never interacted with anyone and I worried much more about her. Now I know if she doesn't show up to a meal someone will go looking for her. So overall, this is a better fit for her, even though it isn't much to look at as far as decor and age of the property. We do have some people that we like better as far as caregivers and then there are a few that I feel like do bare minimum. This would be a great fit for clients who are from a different part of the country and in their late 70's and up. I don't see it as a good fit for anyone younger than that or they will be looking for more in a place as far as design, activities and menu.

In the cottage where the residence were active everything was good. When they moved my mother to a less active cottage residents stayed indoors all day. The only activities offered to my knowledge were TV and occasionally "volleyball" with a balloon. Residence were kept in Geri chairs with trays on. This did change because I believe a hospice worker complained. The monthly dinner celebrations with families and music are a plus especially since many residents are not up to going with relatives to celebrate holidays. I spent two days a week visiting Mom at the cottages. The Geri chair situation was very upsetting to me. I learned that it is not legal to restrain a patient in a chair. The chair were so many that the would park one behind another so that the only thing the resident could see was the back of the chair in front of them. They put my mom in one and did not give her a pillow to support her neck which was very uncomfortable since she had arthritis in her neck which did not allow her to lean her head back.

My mom has been at Spring Valley Memory Care for 2+ years, and I am happy to report that the Activities director is the person who keeps mother actively engaged in life. After breakfast, it’s time for chair exercises. Every day Miss [name removed] does something engaging with the residents like interactive cognitive games like Bingo, Hangman, arts and crafts, table games, singing, and other socially engaging activities. We hit the jackpot when we found SVMC. If it weren’t for Miss [name removed], it would be just another facility.

My Dad is finding a community and a new zest for life after the passing of his wife. He loves the food and is being well nourished. He gets to play rumikub after lunch and dinner and meets new people every week. Having physical therapy on site is very helpful

They aren't perfect, but they keep the facility clean and are concerned about the wellbeing of the residents. I would recommend to others. I know they aren't perfect but I know my aunt is safe there. And that is such a stress reliever.
