The facility was recently sold and there is all new management and a new chef. Quality of the meals and snacks under the new chef are well improved. They have an activities staff that works with the residents playing games, music, etc. The aides in each Cottage know the residents and take very good care of each individual from assisting with personal hygiene, dressing, getting around when assistance walking or wheeling is required. The Cottages and resident rooms are kept clean and tidy. The garden areas are nice with plenty of places to sit outside and enjoy nature. My Mom is very happy here. She broke her hip in March and had surgery. Her hip and had surgery and was in the hospital and then rehab for 2 months. The aides called ti check in on how she was doing and when she returned at the end of May they had a welcome back party for her. It's a second family in my opinion

Unprofessional staff members.

Cozy lovely old complex with flowering gardens. Gated community Staff are friendly and responsive but busy. Food is good. It's more rustic than the high rise places, If you prefer the hotel ambiance this might not be what you want. This is relaxed, more homey with colorful pictures and decor. The buildings are Calif stucco with red tile roofs - charming.

The financial dept. I have has some issues with the billing. I was warned ahead of time to watch your bill. I feel the food needs to be geared more for elderly. So many have trouble with being able to chew do to dentures. I know one meal the chef burned the turkey so my mother in law only had mashed potatoes and a vegetable.

Low staff to client ratios - they are friendly, engaging and available. She doesn't complain about the meals and they seem to be her favorite part of the day. Activities are a little less enriching but I also presume that's her nature of being a recluse so getting involved was never her nature anyway

New windows and doors would make a big difference in my Mom's comfort with the weather and for security. She also wishes they had a better variety of activities.

I've found their billing aggressive and a bit unfair. They pressure you into sign and tell you have 30 days to decide but they start billing you from the date of signing even if your client doesn't move in for 30 days. The facility is lovely but you must be very careful before signing

Beautiful 100 year old building located behind iron gates in the Oakland hills. Secure memory care unit where residents are allowed to roam freely and participate in activities or not. Private rooms but shared bathroom. Very clean space. Food smelled good! Price is very competitive! Lovely tour provided of facility. Sales associate [name removed] is very compassionate and easy to talk to.

The food is awful. Setting up payment schemes when the loved one has long-term care can be challenging.

We find that the facility is a very good place and a good fit for my aunt. The staff are friendly and nice. The facility is clean. They provide meals. They provide activities physical therapist as easy access for nursing and physical therapist they have a nurses on staff five days a week. We haven't had any problems. I would recommend. It's a place that someone can feel like they're being assisted but independent living.

The facility was very clean when my mom moved in, but they've had a lot of turnover and although it's still a nice facility...it's not as clean. Same for the food, it's hit and miss. That said, my mom loves living there, she has lots of friends and stays active.

High turnover, in every area from entry level to upper management. That can create some pain points but overall I was very pleased with the level of respect and care my father was treated with while in the memory care unit.

Our experience was quite different from the time we signed the paperwork to when my mom passed. The ratings for each category at the end are different - 1. 2, 2. 4, 3. 2-3, 4. 2, 5. 2, 6. 1, 7. 2, 8. 2-3. Had changed from the beginning to the end. At the beginning it was great; at the end, things were lacking. 2. Cleanliness remained fine. The rooms were beautiful and I wouldn't have minded living in one of the rooms myself! 3. At the beginning there was an atmosphere of friendliness and warmth and personal care. By the end, the staff seemed overwhelmed with less time to interact with the residents. The receptionist never noticed that I never signed in or signed out. It was difficult to get a hold of anyone on the phone if we called the facility. - No one answered. 4. At the beginning the staff were very pleasant and competent. By the end, the staff seemed stressed and short on time. During my mom's last two weeks I had stayed with her and there were times when I actually had to go looking for staff to help my mom, especially during the night. If my mom had needed help, she might not have had any response from the staff for over 45 minutes had I not been there. Not the staff who dispensed the meds, but the supporting staff, commented that they did not have individual pagers themselves and that they needed to go back to their station to look to see if they were needed somewhere. That was very disconcerting to me and I spoke to the administration regarding this. They were going to address this problem. The staff was supposed to be checking on my mom every two hours right before she passed, but this did not always happen. It was very difficult to gain access to the new administrator and nurse. When we finally did we found them caring. 6. There was a HUGE difference in the quality of the food. When we began, it was very, very good! However, when we left it was definitely not the same quality in taste or presentation e.g. sandwiches were barely thrown together, quality of fish was inferior, salads were ugly with fewer fresh vegies on top. 6. My mom was not really able to participate in many of the activities. I had heard of activities at different facilities that sounded fun, but nothing to get excited about here. 8. I don't really know. At the beginning, yes. Toward the end the overall experience had greatly changed. I had heard that there was a huge turnover in staff - administrator, nurse, fewer caregivers to residents, a new cook. Had I not stayed with my mom to help make sure she had the care she needed, I would have been very dissatisfied .

Always very clean. Staff has been great and very friendly. The care services are a 5 so far. We just recently had Pacifica take over meds Admin staff are nice. Took a while to get the accounting straight. I think they got me and my Dad confused because our names match. Once that was straight it has been fine.. I have eaten there a couple of times and food seems to not come out hot. But maybe they do that on purpose so no one gets scolded? Activities exist. My Dad is not partaking which we are working on. Only other context I have is my In laws and I think Pacifica is a good value. They are at [community removed] which had a buy in.

The compassionate care in this facility is immeasurable. The caregivers are exceptional! I was always confident in the choices made for my loved one! Although I don’t think he appreciated being away from home!

A little bit bureaucratic. I wanted to put in a couple and grab bars, and they made me get a note from my doctor before I could do it; apparently what I want is not good enough. Nice and quiet, staff is very friendly and helpful.

My father has been there for 2 months. He seems to like it there. The staff have been good at responding to his needs in a timely manner. The food is good there. The other residents tell us how much they enjoy the facility. The facility is clean and well maintained. The price is much better than the other 5 places we looked at. We were given two separate tours and all our questions were answered. Transportation does not totally meet his needs. He likes to go to the Clovis Senior Center and transportation won’t take him there. Overall I would recommend the facility to others.

Our Aunt seems happy and the staff are very friendly. That makes all the difference. The nursing staff could be more trained. They seem very young but are very kind. There are activities and outings.

Keep an eye on your loved one. Don't assume there always doing what they say they do.

Everyone is nice. The price stuck out over other places. I would recommend to others.
