Pacifica Senior Living

We are really happy with Sun City Senior Living. The managers and staff are very friendly and helpful. Dad is 92 and needs extra help with dressing and showering, etc. They go out of their way to assist him and answer our questions. The meals are excellent! He said the food is so good, much better than the rehab facility he was at after surgery. I recommend the facility for anyone that needs a “place for Mom…or Dad”!

[name removed] and [name removed]are fabulous and consistently maintain the facilities and mom's house. [name removed] is always available for maintenance and repairs and is super helpful with any request we have made. Most of the staff are absolutely wonderful, especially [name removed]and [name removed]. However there is another admin who is just not very pleasant to work with. She is in charge of compliance, so that must be hard, but her attitude is off putting. [name removed], who is the head chef is amazing. Just wish they had more consistently healthier choices. They recently hired a new assistant chef and the report from mom is that he is making good food and it's an improvement. [name removed]is in charge and does an amazing job. So many wonderful, creative ideas for activities and a completely full schedule with plenty of choices and diversity of physical, social, and mentally stimulating activities. [name removed]has worked with us to afford her home & care even through continuous increases in rent.

I have no complaints with Pacifica Vacaville. They have been wonderful so far. Staff are very friendly and responsive.

The staff is excellent, friendly, very caring and supportive. The facility is dated, but comfortable. The maintenance staff is always available to address whatever needs tending to. I think they should hire a real chef. Also, very frequently they do not serve what is stated on the menus, or they run out. The food tends to be tough and dry. And there are no accommodations for people with diabetes, nor do they provide much gluten free or vegetarian diets. It is not well organized. Activities cater to those with limited mobile or mental capabilities. A healthy Senior (like me) would be bored.

The administration office is very helpful and friendly as long as you stay in contact with them. The atrium is beautiful and has a ton of activities scheduled throughout the month. The library is extensive and includes books with large print. The activities director is so kind to my dad.

It was a difficult to realize that she needed more care than I could provide. Thanks to the recommendations I was able to find a community that not only meets her needs but provides an atmosphere that we are both comfortable with. I would recommend it highly.

My mom has been at Pacifica Chino Hills since November 2023 and our family and my mom are very happy. It has been a great experience there! They have a nurse on staff and she is awesome. She is the memory care director. She is warm, friendly, compassionate, and knowledgeable. I sleep well at night knowing my mom is in good hands. They have family activities which happen almost monthly. You feel connected and welcome. They allow you to visit anytime you want.

We used this facility for a memory care patient. They were very patient and caring and contacted us regularly for any health concerns they noticed immediately. They helped us with getting additional care such as information about a geriatric physician that visited the home regularly and also a podiatrist to help us with care on site. They went out of their way to help us with placement and even helped with a situation for a temporary bed and chair until we could get our family members furniture moved in during a very difficult time. The medical staff is caring and patient with the person in their care. They were also very gracious to our family throughout and through hospice care at the end.

The staff at Pacifica are all amazing. Care very good care of my dad. Always feel welcome and heard. Addresses any concerns in a timely manner.

I went to take a tour and everyone was so nice and friendly. Love restaurant style dinning, the outings, the movie theater and activities available. I can not wait to move in. Wow, what another fantastic event (a Laua) for the residents and family on [date removed] I was initially disappointed because I didn’t see the pig in the ground (or only in Hawaii) but what was even better; was the pig was deliciously prepared and was on our plates along with chicken and everything else imaginable for a great party. My wife; who doesn’t eat much these days; never stopped eating (because the Master Chef; [name removed]; just keeps on preparing outstanding meals) and moving her feet to the excellent music from the Hawaiian Dancers and performances. I just love seeing the happy faces of all those in attendance because of the special warmth ; you; [name removed] and your staff continuously provide. While it’s a real challenge; for all of our loved ones, being in a facility like yours; we just really appreciate what you guys always do for both the residents and families. You and your outstanding team clearly understand and appreciate what we are going through and thanks

This facility is perfect for the people with dementia. My sister in law thrived here! Staff are wonderful and the freedom to move is amazing.

People here were friendly. Everybody had a good time. They got to do the hula dancing with everybody. It was really really a good time for everybody. They really make everyone feel very welcome and like family.

My mom actually accepted the idea of moving into an assisted living community where: she would no longer need to cook for herself; she would get her apartment cleaned regularly; she would get her laundry done for her; and, if and when needed, she would have access to special assistance with bathing and dressing. Pacifica Senior Living in San Leandro provides all of these services for her, but what we did not count on was the transformative power of the “Community” that is the Pacifica. Every single person she has met has been welcoming – [names removed] and countless others! Mom participates in community morning stretches, physical exercise, community walks and field trips. She attends religious service, enjoys the musical entertainment, and looks forward to playing bingo. Before visiting I check the Activity Calendar, so I know where to find mom!
