While it has only been one week since my dad has been a resident, I've found the staff to be friendly, attentive, and communicate well. The property itself is well maintained and the ambiance is one fo an old-world hotel as opposed to the dreaded institutional look. They also put a lot of effort into making the food exceptionally appealing.

I moved into The Meridian One year ago. I chose to move to the Meridian because it is The best Independent Living community in all of San Diego and a dear friend recommended me to move here. When I first came to the Meridian I fell in love with the community. The community offers everything you could possibly want. It offers meals, activities, and many different amenities.

Our Director [name removed]has done an amazing job during this pandemic. She has made sure all the residents are safe and healthy. She has been upfront with everything going on in the community by sending us weekly updates. We are so happy to be living here. If you are looking for a wonderful place to live we highly recommend that you come and look at the Meridian.

I have lived here at the meridian since the beginning. I was the 3rd person to move in. We are very fortunate because we have beautiful grounds to enjoy and walk around. Lots of beautiful well-maintained flowers and landscape. It is so wonderful that I don’t have to do my laundry they do it for me. They also clean my apartment every week. [name removed], the Executive Director, is top-notch. She runs our community so well. She is so beautiful and elegant and throws terrific parties. She threw me a surprise 99th birthday party.

The chef is always available and open to new ideas. The grounds here are always pristine thanks to grounds keeper [name removed]! He always keeps it up, and it’s enjoyable to sit and relax around the community. There are lots of fun activities for us to do, and I really enjoy the swim class. The Meridian all around checks all the boxes, and they are the best in the area.

I enjoyed my tour of this community. The team is knowledgeable and held my hand through this difficult process. The community is clean and the staff is friendly.

This community is so warm and welcoming. The staff greeted us and took the time to introduce themselves. You can tell the staff like what they do and it makes the people feel loved.

Staff are amazing, compassionate, and helpful. [name removed] is fantastic, [name removed] is remarkably responsive and [name removed] is experienced, helpful, and takes the time to listen to concerns and offer solutions.

Mom lived here and now sister has been here six years and doing great. Lovely facility and caring, professional staff. Especially grateful for the care given during the challenges with the coronavirus. Thank you so very much.

Hats off to the Meridian Team for helping get my dad settled and moved into his new apartment! Special shout out to [name removed] for setting up his things so well. And to [names removed] and their crew for doing all the heavy lifting! Truly a great place even in these crazy times!! Thank you all!!

Thanks so much Meridian, Executive director [name removed], and all the amazing staff for keeping my mom, [name removed], safe during this pandemic. We pay close attention to the detailed emails you send about all precautions being taken and mom assures us that it has all being carefully implemented. Though we miss hanging out with her in person, her safety and the safety of the other residents is the top priority.

Really nice place! Food is good. Lovely outdoor courtyards for people to walk around. We like that we didn't have to leave Santa Barbara to visit our loved one.

We have seen some changes in the time that our Mom has lived here and I must say they are all positive! The new director there seems to know what she is doing and is very knowledgeable about dementia. [name removed], who has been there for a long time has been promoted as well and I am very pleased with the decision because she knows each resident. Together, they have made this place feel even more like home. The staff are kind and gentle, which makes all the difference for us. We have peace of mind knowing our Mom is safe. The team there have done such a great job keeping everyone healthy in the middle of covid. Thank you for taking such good care of our mom!

Our family are so grateful to the team of Pacifica Santa Barbara. They are so loving and make my Aunt feel special each day. She can be difficult at times and we have seen how patient the caregivers are with her. We know she is in good hands there. The building is clean, there are lots of places for the residents to go while still being safe inside, and the food is delicious. My Aunt is a picky eater but she loves the chef's grilled salmon and baked potato.

Always professional and clean. My mother is well taken care of.
