My sister was here at this community for a short time, before she fall and broker her hip. We were very impressed with how quick they responded to helping her. They called me right away and informed me of everything. She was still adjusting to the community before her fall. It is a good community. They have a quick responsive staff.

Mom stayed at Brookdale Chatsworth for 2 weeks for respite care to see what it was like to live in a community. She feels she is not ready to move there yet but if the time comes she would live there. Everyone was nice and the food was fine. They keep the community well maintained and clean.

It's clean, bright, and the food is fantastic. The staff is incredibly friendly, and my mom says that the food is the best she's ever had!

This house was large and very nice the assisted-living portion of it I spoke to numerous patients in there, people were doing things the staff interacted with the patients quite a bit they had a lot of activities. My mom needs the memory care section in there as opposed to the other facilities I had visited the staff were interacting with the clients one attendant was shaving a gentleman the others were doing different things the whole time. The general mood of the memory care center was much more uplifting then any of the facility I’ve been to. I started asking clients and staff at different questions in regards to the facility and found no negative comments . They also take the memory care clients out of there once a month and they’re allowed to go to restaurants and they take him out of there to go join the activities in the assisted-living portion of the facility.

Of all the places we checked out, the Paramount House was where we were going to take my loved one. They were extremely helpful and worked with us quite well. The only reason we did not go there is because at the last minute a family member was able to take care of my loved one.

They seem to do a very good job of getting to know the individuals when they first get there. They have quite a few of the staff chatting and finding a little more about them. They really take an interest so they can fulfill their needs. I think they do a very good job. We have been extremely pleased. It has been a positive move.

All of the staff members at Regency Park Astoria can improve upon their communication with one another. I give them a four - star rating overall, but the sub-categories are rated a little lower than that.

At Paramount House Senior Living there was confusion upon move in regarding the needs of my parents. There was a lack of understanding by the staff. It is nothing I would like to get into right now. The situation is resolved now but it was somewhat traumatic there for a little while.

I am satisfied with Santa Anita Retirement Center. They do take trips and have exercise classes. It is on the expensive side here. My brother is not too happy with the food but he is obese and has to stick to a 1500 calorie diet, so really I think that is just his perspective. The facility is across from a large park, there is soccer, tennis, a basket ball court. The residents have that available to utilize which I think is really nice.

Well, I think overall the staff at Brookdale Roslyn has done a very, very good job with my loved one. There really is not anything else to say about the place that I can think of off the top of my head.

I would say their care and communication is excellent. I would say the marketing office probably needs to be more formalized and better communicate with each other. W[e] had a few glitches with that. My father is there on respite, so the value, in terms of how much we are paying and the level of care in terms of physical therapy, has been excellent and he is doing better than he has in several years and we are thrilled to death with that.

I really like the design of the building. The number of people that they have there is small, but large enough for a 24 hour staff to care for. The food for the most part has been very good, with a few exceptions. There are very frequent visits from the staff (almost too much sometimes). They managed to get my mother out of her room and to a music performance, which was wonderful and she really enjoyed it. There have been a couple of instances where her daily schedule has gotten a little mixed up. It is a very clean place and for the most part no bad smell.

Felt like a hotel the minute we walked in...I loved it's warmth, and the base cost, but didn't love the price of extras which is what my mom needs right now.

A real nice community. The best choice for us. Better than others. The Food is really Good.

The temperature of the room is extremely hot that you can't breathe, this is the third time. The temp control is in the next room and that resident has control. They know she is a diabetic but they are handing out non sugar cookies and meals are not exactly diabetic friendly. They are very nice but maybe not so capable of memory care.

They do a good job overall at Regency Park, and they are very affordable for the level of care and service that they provide!

The thing that I liked the most was the people. They seemed to care, and they were willing to help when you asked them for help. The only thing that I could think of that might need improvement was the admission process; it was a little trying for my father. I imagine that it is probably that way in all of these type of places. Other than that, maybe to update the facilities a little bit in terms of decor and that kind of thing; it looks a little old, not in a bad way, and it was clean. They had musical acts that would come to perform and social hours for coffee and that kind of thing but my dad didn't participate because he was ill. Overall we were happy with Regency Park.

The meals are on time. I like the poker games because that is what I like to do! It is only a dollar for each person. At 1:00 they are having a New Year's Party, and I'm going to go up and see what that is all about.
