We chose Paramount House at the time because it was something that needed to happen fairly quickly and they have availability at the time we needed it. they were very helpful and proactive in getting her in during such a difficult time (the beginning of covid). It also had good ratings and we checked it out and thought it would be a good fit. In terms of communication, they do communicate well when it comes to health issues and individual care. I think the staff members here are easy to deal with, we have had some issues and they take care of them. They do have a doctor that comes in house and that has been helpful so she doesn't have to leave for appointments. I would recommend to others who are looking.

It has gone through some change in ownership in the last year. It has been an adjustment for the families and residents. The nursing staff is pretty good to deal with concerns and questions over my loved one. I wish they could be more communicative.

We chose Regency Park Astoria for a couple of reasons, but primarily they had an assisted living/memory care unit in the same property as the senior living facility. So if we did ever need that care, we would not have to move her. She had a 1 bedroom unit with a balcony that was quite nice. Overall, these are difficult times but it worked out very well and am happy with my choice. I would recommend to others looking.

We chose Brookdale Chatsworth because of the value for the money, the facilities that were closer to me were much more expensive. We felt that everything was clean and maintained well and the staff seemed very friendly. The room sizes here seem adequate, it used to be a hotel that was converted. The bathrooms in here are small, she cannot get her walker in the bathroom that she has. A little more than a year ago they had to be evacuated because of a fire in the area, I was very impressed with the way the staff handled the evacuation. They helped residents pack things, get them on a bus, and got them into a nice Mariott hotel. It went very smoothly and gave us great peace of mind. They have done a great job handling the pandemic as well and are very on top of it.

We chose Paramount House senior living because it was the most convenient and the availability at the time. The room sizes here are good compared to others that we looked into. I would recommend to others looking.

The only issue I had is that they did not respond when my husband fell for 45 min, He loved the food and the variety that they offered. We were quoted one price but that changed when we moved in, there were additional charges for service we weren't told about.

The rooms and overall layout of this community would be a three out of five. The food would be around a three out of five as well, and we would recommend Westminster Terrace community to a family or friend.

I toured the facility today, I really love how homey it feels. The staff seem very friendly.

The apt. was huge, the price was very good and the courtyard was magnificent...[name removed] was Awesome :)

Nice home, clean, good people. Pricing better than Lincoln Meadows by a long shot. Base pricing is very important because I can see mom needing extra care on a number of things, if not now, in the near future. Those extra costs will add up very quickly.

Great caring stuff. And clean facility. My loved one likes it here. Does not participate with social activities, not their thing. Doesn't like the food. Otherwise it is quite happy. Transportation is helpful as I cannot drive her 90% of the time. Mostly I know my mom is safe and well cared for here.

I loved the small feeling of this community. Residents were seen throughout. It’s under construction, but I bet it will be lovely when done. [name removed] was great! Kitchenette is an apt ion here which Inlike!

This was also a nice facility, they offered that I return with my mother for lunch sometime so she could see if it was a good fit. We might take her up on that.

I toured Brookdale while looking for places for my mother. I thought this community was very nice, and I liked it, but it was further away than we wanted. I was also unsure that my mother would be comfortable with the setup of the community. It is set up in a liner fashion, and I wanted something more central.

My loved one is here currently and we had a few issues at the beginning but things are starting to work out. We finally had to go and make several meetings with the director in order to get it straightened out. My loved one wasn’t placed in the right area or assessed properly at the beginning, but seems to be a bit better now. They’ve told us that they’ve been trying to fix a few things from the previous management. The skilled nursing part of the facility is a lot better than the assisted living section and I think it was mainly a miscommunication issue. They have a lot more nurses and people involved and walking around in the skilled nursing side and they’re helping keep her properly medicated for pain. They have the same things all the time on the menu for dinner and then add on extras if you want it. Overall, if your loved one is properly assessed, then yes I would recommend them.

This community is fine however I am having a hard time affording it. The food is good I think it is too high in calories but that is just my opinion. The staff and the residents seem nice enough. The community and my living space are kept very clean and well maintained.

Things are not going as well as we had expected. My friend had been doing great in the assisted living portion of the community she was very active and taking walks outside in the secure courtyard but things to a very rapid change and she is no longer the happy person she once was. Due to lack of judgment from various of people my friend is now in the memory care portion of the community and she hates it. She is no longer able to do things as she was she has become very depressed. The community is doing their best to see if another evaluation can be done about moving her back to where she was.

They are taking good care of my grandfather from what I hear from my family members who visit him often and give me updates. We chose Brookdale Chatsworth because it was a great place in a nice location, and it was very affordable. The administrator was warm and welcoming and supportive. The staff is very responsive to his care needs. The staff is easy to communicate any questions or concerns my family has in regards to how my grandfather is doing. I have dined there with him and the food was very good. I liked that it served restaurant style. There is a nice variety of good choices. My impression of the community is that it is warm and inviting and has a homey feel to it. They do offer activities for the residents that they try to encourage the residents to participate. My grandfather has been through a lot recently and the staff have been very supportive and caring in helping him feel comfortable. There is a courtyard and he has a balcony off of his room so that he can enjoy the outdoors if he chooses to. So far we are very happy with the quality of care they are providing for our grandfather.

My sister was here for about 5 weeks but for the time she was there she enjoyed her stay. My sister is a vegetarian and it was extremely hard to find to find a community that offered those types of meals which this one didn't, however, the kitchen staff had no problems in regards to making my sister vegetarian meals they were happy to accommodate her. The community was clean and looks updated. In fact, they were in the process of replacing the rugs in the building. nothing to worry about there. The location was great we were looking for something close and convenient to get to.
