Oaks Senior Living

We moved our 95 year old mother into The Oaks of Stockbridge over a year ago and it has been such a blessing. We feel she has a staff that cares about her and helps with whatever she needs. It gives me and my siblings such peace of mine to know she is happy and enjoys her daily life of friendships, social activities and parties. She loves the trips on the bus to the ice cream shops, restaurants and just for rides. The facility is clean and very well organized. It gives us peace of mind knowing she is well taken care of.

My father was in the memory care area, they do an excellent job with meal time, making sure everyone is there and eating out if they need help they would feed them. The community nurse Helga is great, she always kept me informed if anything with my dad would change. The only improvement might be to have an additional person in the memory care area, it is small but difficult for 2 to manage.

My mom has been at the oaks along time, I’m just so THANKFUL for all the staff there. I am truly blessed she is there and to have them. I am the youngest of 5 and only son. The support I get when I ask wonderful!!! Thank you all. LOVE YALL!!!

We moved a very dear friend into Oaks at Stockbridge in [date removed]. It was a very hard move for her. She had lived by herself in her home with steps for many many years. She had to go into the hospital the end of August and was told by the doctor that he could not allow her to go home by herself. We called Oaks to see if I could come and tour the community. We have been so happy with the care she receives here. The staff is absolutely wonderful. I thank God every day for Oaks at Stockbridge and would recommend anyone that is looking for this type of community, this place could be your loved ones new home.

The care that my wife receives here is excellent. The facility is always clean and the staff addresses any and all of my concerns expeditiously and professionally. The staff members at all levels are excellent. They epitomize the term “caregivers”. My two items of importance, my wife’s happiness and safety are both being accomplished beyond my initial expectations. I highly recommend the Oaks at Stockbridge for those considering memory care for a loved one in the Stockbridge area.

The staff members at the Oaks are just phenomenal and really have taken such great care of our loved one. They have excellent caregivers there and they are always so friendly to us when we come to visit. We have had lunch there and the meals are delicious. They have plenty of different activities going on for the residents, there is bingo, day trips and live musical entertainment which is something our loved one really enjoys.

The people that work here are great. They are very friendly and everyone seems caring and compassionate. My mother had a short time here but they all got to know her and I thought that was great. It is a clean, nice facility. It is in the city but surrounded by woods, so you can get outside and walk. It looks more like a lodge than a facility, it feels like you are out in the country. They have transportation so they can take residents out to appointments and for shopping. The food was better compared to the last place she was at. There are a lot of great amenities offered. They do have 2 levels of care, assisted living and memory care. I would recommend Oaks at Grove Park to others looking as long as you are able to afford it.

Care services staff have been great in Horizons. They are patient and kind to all the residents. The communication sometimes is slow responding back from questions to staff. I'm very pleased with the activities they have for residents. They are always doing something with them.

I had a wonderful tour experience with Oaks at Stockbridge. All of the staff were accommodating and friendly. For our family it just came down to the locaiton and this facility was too far.

Oaks at Pooler was great. The staff were caring, and they were very honest and straightforward about everything.

My father has been here for 8 years. He thinks of it as his home and family. It was obvious when we first visited that this was a Christian environment which was very important to us. The staff and caregivers are very caring and loving. The activities are endless and very beneficial to the residents. Our family considers this home to be “Top Notch.”

A first class home for those that need extra care and love. The facility is warm and attractive, and clean. Staff is competent and works very hard. This is what is to be expected. However, the Oaks at Hampton staff go well past what is required. Residents become family. Residents' family becomes family. My dad was a very quiet, private person. Oaks staff addressed the person that he was with open arms, developing programs, field trips and conversation to help make the most of his days. I take every opportunity to recommend, The Oaks at Hampton to friends with parents approaching such care.

Literally from the first moment I was introduced to The Oaks, I felt extremely welcomed into the community. Within five minutes, I was whisked into an aerobics class. I was then given a tour of the beautiful facility. The homey decor combined with an ever-smiling staff put me at ease. In fact, my first night here, I slept soundly — the first in several weeks! I am here for respite care and I must say that the physical therapy team is top-notch. They create a friendly yet challenging atmosphere where strength building is paramount. I cannot say enough good about this program. All in all, The Oaks at Hampton is a great fit for me. The Directors are outstanding, the entire staff is knowledgeable and friendly, and the residents are outgoing and interesting. If I can’t be at home right now, The Oaks is the definitely the best place for me!

My mother went to The Oaks at Hampton in January of 2020. Mom just passed away a couple of weeks ago. In the almost 3 years that my mother resided in the memory care section of The Oaks at Hampton (Horizons) she received excellent care. From consistent attention from the medical staff to the activities director, mom's needs were always given special attention by any and everyone who works at The Oaks at Hampton. I have seen sand researched several different assisted living centers for my parents once it became obvious that they needed that kind of care. The Oaks at Hampton consistently provided the kind of care that someone like me , the loved one of a resident, could count on and be very pleased with.

I would highly recommend Oaks at Hampton. In less than 2 years, I've moved my parents to 3 facilities for a variety of progressing reasons. All of the places were quite good; Oaks is the best because of the people – administration, staff and the residents themselves. Everyone seems happy to be there. I've observed staff having personal relationships with each resident; knowing their preferences and personalities seems like an impossible task but I'm a witness to it. It's a very social interaction, not just "doing their jobs". They go out of their way to find interesting activities for residents – meals out, train rides and farm visits to name a few. The kind, high energy social director is amazing with all the residents. Everyone has been kind and helpful to me as a family member and gone above and beyond on several occasions. I'd be remiss to not mention those buttery biscuits and heavenly grits they serve for breakfast! Lots of the food is excellent.

We've had a great experience so far, from the executive director down through the staff. I feel they all care about the residents and the community. The facilities are pleasant and kept clean, and we feel it is a good overall value for what we pay.

We are very happy with the Oaks at Post Road. They have a caring and loving staff from the top on down! Plenty of activities to avoid boredom. It really is a happy environment.

We have been very happy. It's been a really great experience My loved one has improved, and seems very content and likes the community. My loved one, is participating and smiling more. Overall, they are calm, content and seems to be making friends.

I toured this community and it was beautiful. We were looking to move our loved one from a different facility to this one. It was a night and day difference. This facility is so much better. The only downfall is that it's 2 levels, not ideal for our loved one. But it's a great place. Staff was always around and friendly. It was always clean. Unfortunately, our loved one passed before we could get her moved.

My only complaint is the plug in air fresheners they use in the hallways. Essential oil diffusers would be much healthier and more pleasant. The Oaks has been a wonderful experience for my dad. He moved there 6 months after my mother passed away, so it was a difficult transition. He was reluctant at first to become involved in the social activities, but he soon enjoyed them very much. He made new friends and developed his own life. He has been very happy there.
