Oaks Senior Living

The Oaks at Post Road took excellent care of my mom, right up until she passed away. The Staff and caregivers were amazing. They were always there attending to her every need. My only regret is that I didn't place my Mom at The Oaks in the beginning. She was at another facility (Gracemont Assisted Living ), her quality of health went rapidly downhill while at Gracemont, but once she moved to The Oaks she bounced back with the care and love that she received while she resided there. They were such a blessing to her and our family. I would highly reccommend them to anyone. I couldn't have asked for any better care for my mom.

I’m very impressed with them. My loved one was only there for a short time. They are very family oriented, very friendly, very responsible. All of the staff engaged with my loved one, but also with all the folks there. They seem to be very bonded the residents. The food was very good. I would use their services again if the need arose.

Overall they've done a great job here! The facility itself is always well kept and clean, and they care provided is excellent. The staff are all very friendly, professional, and caring and take great are of the residents. One thing I would like to see them do better is to have more activities specifically for the memory care patients, it seems like they do more sitting around than the lower care residents.

We had an excellent experience with a Place for Mom. The Oaks at Hampton is a beautiful facility with the most friendly staff. We could not be more satisfied.

They are very, very good! We really have no complaints! It is the only one in Ellijay, GA, but it is working out great! Everyone is very nice!

I'd give them 5s across the board, they really do a great job here! It's clean, everyone is friendly, and the services and activities are great. The one place that I could say they could improve would be the meal service. The food is fine, but the service itself can be very slow.

Very much enjoyed visiting with Gail at Oaks of Hampton. Paul, the maintenance director was very kind to show us around before others arrived on Saturday morning. We loved Gail's background, her outlook, and her involvement in the community. Everyone we met was very attentive and understanding to our situation. I also very much like the Oaks 'Philosophy'

Moved my Mom from Gracemont Assisted Living where the year and 6 months she lived there was a nightmare. I cannot begin to express what a blessing the Oaks has been for her and my family. The care is 100% better, the staff is very friendly, caring and responsive when you need to talk with them. The facility itself is really nice. Thank you goes out to The Oaks.

I'd give them a 10 out of 5 in every category if I could! It's a beautiful, clean facility, and the staff have been amazingly friendly and caring. The staff are very hands on, and like to get to know the residents on a personal level, get to know their histories, likes and dislikes, etc. The activities director in particular really goes the extra mile! She talks with the families and finds out the sorts of activities their loved one might like, and she is great about encouraging the more shy and reluctant members of the community to participate. The building maintenance man, Eric, is also very cheerful and friendly with all of the residents. I'd recommend this place to anyone!

We're very happy with this community! It's very nice looking, and the staff have been so friendly. They're very caring and compassionate, and they respect the residents privacy. After touring so many communities where the caregivers would just walk into people's rooms without knocking it was good to see somewhere where they are treated with respect.

The activities don't really apply. My mom is in the memory unit so she doesn't do a lot of activities. I know that they have tons and she does some of them but she can't really tell me how they are. The staff at The Oaks are so responsive. They are extremely good with communication. If we have a concern and we call them they immediately call back. If we ask for something they address it. I couldn't ask for better communication from them. Trying to find a place was a very difficult decision but when we walked in the door of The Oaks we knew it was the right place. Everybody is smiling. Even my mother-in-law said everybody's really nice, they much pay them well! I don't know how much they pay them but they're great. We're very pleased and we hope it continues that way. They keep her engaged, they move her from place to place, talk with her, every 30 minutes they check on her and every two hours they take her to the bathroom. When you walk into The Oaks it feels like you're walking into someone's home. It's a great place.

My mother has absolutely loved her move to The Oaks at Braselton in Hoschton, Ga.. Her entire demeanor has changed to one of greater cheerfulness. She is eating better, sleeping better and looks better. She has gained 3 lbs after loosing 20 lbs. Mom loves the staff and administration. Everyone at the Oaks are helpful, friendly, and cheerful. It is like a huge family atmosphere which my mother really loves. It is great seeing everyone jump in to get whatever needs done - done. We love it! Thank you Dawn, Melodie and Mary Brown for finding us this wonderful place.

The activities I think are going to be good. When my mom first entered the facility, she had hurt her back prior to going in so she hasn't really been able to get involved in the activities. Sweetgrass is really a good place, they're trying to get her more involved in things but with my mother its difficult. They're not giving up, they're going to keep working with her. My mom's not a real social person, she hasn't been her whole life and she's kind of a challenge for them but they keep working and trying but their staff is really super nice. They have a small bus and they take peopel out once or twice a week, they go out to lunch, they visit different places, they go somewhere at least once a week and they have people that come into the place and play music and entertain them.

The staff has been very helpful. They bend over backwards for us. My mother an father moved in and unfortunately after a month my father passed away. They have been great about giving my mother extra care and watching out for her during the grieving process. I can't say anything but splendid things abou them. They have games, bingo, outings, go out to lunch, bible study, someone who comes in to read to them and sometimes they have groups come in and entertain. The list goes on. There's something for them to do from morning til night if they want to stay that busy.

The location of The Oaks was very good for our family only a few minutes away. Everything has been going superbly here. The residents seem to have a lot in common with our loved one and they seem to be on the same cognitive ability level which makes it very comfortable for them here. There is lots of exterior nice places with chairs, ceiling fans and very well maintained garden where you can just sit and relax. They have a front porch that has a few rocking chair and cushioned chairs depending on what you like. They have field trips every couple of weeks so it allows the residents to get out and about. The staff has been very supportive and has made it easy for our loved one to ask for things. They take the time to get to know the residents by name rather then just room number. We are very happy with them and would recommend them.

Very nice, followed up many times. Tried everthing they could to help. The only thing we could afford was a shared room and that wouldn't work with mother
