The staff interacts with the residents in a very positive way. They work with the resident as well as the family to make the stay as pleasant as possible. Within the last two months there as been a turnover of the activity directors position and as a result there was some disruption in the activity schedules. It appears that this issue is either resolved or in the process of being resolved. I enjoy going to the facility to visit with my spouse. I am always welcomed by the staff.

The staff at Sunrise HB, in Reminiscense Level 1, are superb. They are so kind and caring, and have been great with my mother. She is happy, and participates in the activities.

The Cottages of Carmel is a small, home-like facility. It is on a single level and this makes it easy for all residents to access the entire facility. All of the staff are very friendly and helpful. There are plenty of activities to keep mom busy, including regular excursions out of the facility. The first thing you notice is the facility is bright and clean. I feel very comfortable with having my mom cared for at the Cottages of Carmel.

Segovia is as good as it gets. Every need you might have is taken care of here. The staff are excellent. My apartment is delightful, the food is first class and I enjoy many of the activities. I have a little Scottie who loves the dog parks here. The facilities are too numerous to mention.love [Name removed]

After eating the food prior to the move, I was happy. More importantly, my mother is "picky" and has been contented with her meals and snacks. She likes the people working her. She has made a friend in the lady that cleans her room and changes her sheets once a week. Her level of participation is not what I had hoped. But her lifetime does not include participation so no change there.

Sunrise Sabre Springs is the second assisted living facility my father has lived in. It is much smaller (about 30 assisted living residents, I believe, plus additional residents in memory care) and because of that the care is much more personalized. The staff is just great. They know each resident by name and all their quirks and special needs. The drawback is that there is a smaller pool of people for residents to find friends in and there are relatively few activities for the men. I do wish that they had been more transparent about their assisted living fees schedule. We were told that fees were based on the number of activities of daily living that residents needed assistance with, but later it became apparent that there is also a point system beyond that which will increase the fees. But if you can afford the fees the care is outstanding and caters to the needs of each individual resident.

My mom is in memory care and her accommodations are very nice. The staff is kind and hardworking. . Food is good????.

My father passed away a month ago. My sisters and I are so thankful he was able to live at Sunrise of Sacramento for the last 8 months of his life. It was wonderful in all aspects and he called it “home”. We are forever grateful for the care and respect they provided to him and to us, his family.

The staff is amazing. Very thoughtful, respectful and friendly. Very well appointed facility which is always clean and well maintained. Couldn’t be happier with my mom and her progress there. She is more engaged socially which helps her stay active and connected while battling her dementia. I highly recommend Oakmont of Orange.

Sunrise of La Jolla is an amazing place. At the place we moved her from, almost every day she was left naked. When I asked to have someone dress her (I live in Tennessee, the facility is in California), they refused saying she wanted to be naked. She fell frequently. She missed meals and when they brought them to her room, the food was wrapped in cellophane. My mother has advanced dementia and isn't capable of deciding if she wants to wear clothes. The indignity was overwhelming. She is incapable of removing cellophane from food, so she went without and was losing weight. Several members of the staff repeatedly told me she was a mean spirited woman and they didn't want to take care of her. None of these conditions are present at Sunrise of La Jolla. The staff is kind and loving. They are well trained to understand dementia and its effects upon a person. Every person on staff repeatedly tells me mom is one of their favorite residents. She can no longer do anything for herself, yet every morning they awaken her and dress and groom her in lovely outfits. They hand feed her when necessary. They keep mom in community with the other residents and a caregiver is always in the room with the residents. She is happy. One day when she was able to speak, she told me she had never lived in such a nice place. I know those words were a gift from God to our family to let us know that we had made the right decision concerning her care. We are so thankful for Sunrise and every person who is employed there.

Mom has been at Bradford for three years now and loves it there. There are so many activities that she participates in that she is never bored and she enjoys all of the social interaction. She is so much more active now that when she was living in her home. The staff is so wonderful and caring. They always have a smile and are so attentive. All of her needs are met and she couldn't be happier We could not have found a more wonderful place for her!

This community appears to be first-rate. The mgr and staff were very cordial, and the suites we looked at were very nice.

My grandfather [Name removed] lived in this facility before he passed away. He was resistant to move but the team was very supportive during the process. [Name removed] the Executive Director really made my family feel so at ease. It was so hard for us to come to terms with grandpa moving into an assisted living. I thank every caregiver and nurse who tended to him. Their care is like no other and I am so glad he was able to spend his last days in a place that truly cared for him. I would highly recommend this facility to any family who truly wants quality. The chef [Name removed] prepares wonderful food one of the things grandpa always said was the food was the best part of it all. Thank you Sunrise of Sabre Springs for taking care of not only my grandpa but my family during this hard transition. I will forever be grateful!

We are so happy to have found sunrise. It had been recommended by friends and when the need arose we had a new facility near by. They have been so loving, helpfu, communicative, and kind. The food is even delicious! The activities are awesome and the staff excellent. It is clean and they are are warm to everyone. Can not say enough of the excellent care.

Sunrise is a beautiful warm and cozy community. The residents look very clean and happy. The management team is tenured and helpful. They are knowledgeable and really care!

An amazing place with great caretakers and truly compassionate team . Leadership folks are exceptional . They took great care of my dad . As a doctor myself I was very impressed and could not ask for more . Financially very honest and transparent . Never tried to drive price up . Highly recommend this place .

After having surgery for a broken hip at Eisenhower Medical Center I spent five weeks in the Skilled Nursing Facility at the Fountains at the Carlotta. My experience was like staying at a five star resort! From the time I checked in until I was discharged I was treated like a VIP. Everyone on the staff was very gracious and professional. The nurses were very compassionate and the physical therapy and occupational therapy staff was exceptional. I found the CNAs to be very attentive and accommodating. They cheerfully fulfilled any and all requests. The facility was spotless. The cuisine was very nutritious, plentiful, and well prepared. The entire facility had a very positive and refreshing atmosphere. Nobody looks forward to staying in a skilled nursing facility after surgery, but I have to admit I found myself reluctant to leave. I am convinced there is no better place to recoup after surgery than the Fountains at the Carlotta!!

Visited the La Costa location. Smaller version of a large resort style set up. Friendly staff, prideful of their ten year status. Not much staff turnover. Pet friendly. Offered outdoor space. Took the time to get to know residents. JDPower rated #1 2018. Floors have a charge nurse station, offering the most comprehensive care plan outlined. Facility offers, on site medical care, site seeing tours of the surrounding community, and free transportation. Moderately priced. Not the least nor the most expensive. Overall, an excellent value for the money.
