Sunrise Assisted Living on Munroe Street has done a phenomenal job of caring for residents during the unsure time of coronavirus. While many senior facilities have closed their doors to outside visitors, the virus has still touched residents. The hardworking and dedicated staff are taking proactive measures to insure their residents are cared for by monitoring temperatures and being seen by doctors each week. The results show that their processes are working to manage any cases that arise and take immediate action to care for all residents, positive or not. A well designed and implemented plan gave staff a solid roadmap for caring for their residents. Committed staff continue to work overtime because the residents matter to them and feel like family. While many others have had frightening experiences in other senior facilities, I can only commend Sunrise on a job well done. We do not know yet the breadth of the virus, nor the outcome. Based on that, Sunrise has taken great care to be proactive and stay current on the daily changes that are occurring. Medical teams are sharing information worldwide and we hope for a solution soon. Until then, the most we can ask for are competent, caring and well informed staff caring for the seniors that are our mothers, fathers, aunts, uncles, and other loved ones. Thank you to those staff members that have dedicated their time and energy to care for those at the highest risk. Bless you and stay safe.

I feel like it is a place for my mom to live and enjoy life with supportive care. When I looked at other places, if felt likethe people were living there waiting to die, but here, everyone is living to live and that is so important to me. The staff are very caring and willing to do extra things for the resident, not just what is required of them to do. They really do show that they care. The building is a bit older but they are currently remodeling so we are excited about that.

We love Oakmont of Orange. We are so happy we found it. We visited 7 communities and they were our top choice. We found out through the assessment process that mom needed memory care. The staff was so compassionate in helping us get our heads around mom transitioning to memory care. Oakmont of Orange is a brand new community that has the feel of a luxury hotel. Staff is caring considerate and knowledgeable.

Sunrise of Claremont is a very friendly community. My mom thinks the food is really good. From a pricing standpoint they are not the cheapest and not the most expensive, I feel they are a good value. I trust them.

I love this place for my mom. In troubled times they are taking the neccessary steps to keep her and others safe. She is taken care of in every way. All staff have been helpful. The only thing I can complain about is the quality of the food. I wish it was not so cheap of quality cheap and was a more organic wholesome menu. Thank you Casa Sandoval!

We did extensive research before deciding on Oakmont of Orange. We visited 7 communities, and then re-visited 2 of them three times. We narrowed down our selection to two. One of the many reasons we selected Oakmont of Orange is that they have a Memory Care section. After they did Mom's assesment, they determined this would be a better fit for her. We were overwhelmed, upset and very sad. We weren't ready for this possibility. [Name removed], the Executive Director and [name removed], the Care Director were very gentle and caring to us as they explained how much more attention and care she would get. They were empathetic and knowledgable. We did take their recommendation and Mom is now in their "Traditions" (their Memory Care) community. Everyone on staff is wonderful. We feel so relieved to know that Mom is being taken care of so well. She is social and making friends, enjoys the activities and has continued with her physical therapy. She has met with their consierge Doctor who is also compassionate and attentive. We are SO happy. She is now only 20 minutes away from her. We are beyond satisfied with our choice.

My brothers and I are so happy with the care my dad is receiving at Oakmont. Oakmont is known in Folsom as “the nice place.” Someone at another place called it “ritzy”. And it is that for sure. But they have not compromised care and attention just to make it seem cosmetically nice. The staff is approachable and respectful and after only a couple of months seems like the truly know my dad, the food is great, the common spaces warm and lovely. We would visit him no matter where he lived but it’s a great joy to walk into Oakmont and say hello to the staff and be able to spend time there. We trust that he’s safe, supported, and seen. It’s a beautiful space and my dad loves it.

Oakmont is very impressive. [Name removed], our tour person, was very knowledgeable and helpful . It's a little pricier than others but may be worth it. The building and grounds are excellent. Oakmont provides Assisted living and Memory care.

Wonderful visit all around! First choice so far. Wonderful amenities, facilities, and staff. It was like a vacation spot!

Sunrise should please my MIL. I an "pre-shopping" for her. She doesn't even know that i am doing this. At tis time she lives with her husband in their house. er husband is sick, and we don't think he will be with her long. She has indicated that she will want to move toa retirement community in Torrance, and Sunrise would be a very good fit for her. When her need arises, I will suggest it to her.

This is a spectacular facility - clean, spacious, grand. More like a very nice hotel than an old folks home. Focus is on independent living with a continuum of care (i.e., assisted living). Facility (68 apps?) is 100% reserved at present. Extremely steep entry fee ($409K for a 1 BR). The entry fee is 90% refundable on leaving the residence/death. Monthly rent roughly comparable to other facilities we have looked at. Captain does not provide three meals/day to all residents within the monthly rent fee. Instead, they have a point system, and food consumed is deducted from the resident's monthly point allowance. Continental breakfasts are free. About 480 (?) points/month are available to residents. Our lunch entres cost 16 points each today. Points remaining at the end of each month are lost and NOT rolled over. Extra services in excess of those provided with the monthly rent (i.e., bathing assistance, meds, etc) incur additional charges according to a set point system. Despite my request for this information, this system has not been adequately described, nor has the cost associated with them This is disturbing and is making me very uneasy about this organization. Despite all this, we put $1000 down to get on a waiting list for a residence. This deposit is completely refundable. We requested either studio or a 1 BR. If Mom takes a studio, this puts her in a priority position for when a 1 BR becomes available.

Great facility: clean, staff interaction with residents very personable, they clearly know the staff. [Name removed] is amazing! She provided such a wealth of information, so helpful, sincere, committed and it shows!

Love this facility it just cost to much.

As we were driving to visit the first assisted living facility recommended by A Place for Mom. my father said to me he would not say a word he was just going too sit there! I agreed he didn't need to talk, just look it over. Once the representative started explaining the features and opportunities and directed all questions to him about what had brought him to Hawaii in the first place, he opened up and chatted away. We did not end up choosing this particular facility as it didn't have a garden, but my father's attitude turned around completely and his choice is now a comfortable fit for him. My dad is a retired pilot and kept putting off making any choice. I reminded him that he NEVER would have just jumped in the plane and taken off without a detailed charted route after making sure that that the fuel tanks were full.
