The community overall is a nice place and the staff is very friendly. The community is kept neat and clean and my loved one really enjoys the food. They have activities going on in the community and I would recommend this community to others.

Oakmont is a newer facility so ever time we come to visit it is very clean and well maintained. The care will never be as good as it is at home, but the staff there are extremely friendly. The food is good, our loved one has been there for five months now and they have maintained their weight. We have been able to visit recently and last time we were there, there was a live singer playing the piano, and they were having the residents sit outside underneath their nice, shaded and comfortable patio. So far we do think the value is good, and everyone looks to be very well cared for.

The community has good transportation and the community is very clean and they have a good atmosphere and are very friendly. I would like to see an improvement in response time to call buttons. I would recommend this community to others based on my experience.

Very friendly staff gave me a virtual tour, showing me the outdoor areas, a model apartment, the common areas, and answering all my questions thoroughly. I was impressed with the courtyard, and the apartment. They are undergoing renovations for a couple of years and have discounts available because of that.

We found Oakmont of the Lakes to be very expensive. And nothing looked particularly nicer than other places we considered. My biggest concern was that they were just starting a memory care facility there, so I wasn’t sure if that was going to be very effective for my loved one.

The community is definitely one you should consider for your loved ones. Overall we have had a positive experence. Communication was about average i had to follow up sometimes. I would recommend this community to others

Our loved one was only there for a short period of time, but it was a good facility. With the value, you get the care that you need, and fortunately social security paid the entire time. We would recommend hospice if needed. Our experience with the care takers and hospice they had everyday was great.

I was overall impressed with the staff but the food was not good. The quality, variety, lack of seasoning is all a big factor in the food being bad. Communication I would recommend this community to others if the food quality changes

The community was an older facility and the cost was higher than others in the area. It did not fit our needs at the time.

We chose Sunrise because they had activities for her and we wanted her to socialize and I also felt the staff would take better care of her. They were good with communication, they kept us updated by email. The rooms that we saw when we toured looked nicer than the one that she actually got. While she was here she did also have some jewelry and valuables go missing. Overall they tried their hardest under the circumstances and I would recommend them to others who are looking.

We chose Sunrise of Seal Beach because of the activities that they offered and the apartment itself was better suited, they were apartments set up for more senior living rather than assisted living). The apartment sizes were good, it made the transition for my parents much easier because it was similar size to what they were previously living in. Their communication was very strong, it was an unusual time for us since it was during covid but I think that they did a really good job communicating and keeping their residents safe. I would recommend to others looking.

This is truly a boutique facility and its newness shines. The common areas are very high-end, feeling like an expensive hotel more than an elder care facility. Due to the small community size, residents seem to get very specialized attention. Daily activities and special excursions looked varied and plentiful. Because the rooms do not have direct access to the exterior, they did feel a bit more like a hotel room than a private residence. Exceptional dining and theater facilities are onsite. For active seniors, it seems worth paying a bit more for the higher level of service. I was concerned about some extra charges like $10 to have a meal delivered to a resident's room (waived during Covid). Residents were very happy to talk about how much they love living there.

Let me preface a couple of things. I have worked in this industry, so I have more knowledge than the average person. Also, keep in mind our experience here has been during Covid times. Some of the people I've talked to have expected to receive nursing home care at assisted living prices. If you understand that Sunrise of Bonita can provide assistance to the resident, and not nursing home care, then it's quite a good. The staff is very friendly. The community is stable. Communication systems are quite good. And they're very good about calling me with concerns about my loved one as health declines, as well as keeping her doctor in the loop. And that's very helpful for me. Their Covid procedures have been helpful in keeping residents safe, and they have a high vaccination rate. Our loved one has isolated herself a bit voluntarily due to the pandemic, and that's no fault of Sunrise. But things should get better in time once Covid eases up. Now that we're both vaccinated, I'll be allowed to go visit in her room after months and months, which I'm looking forward to. I would absolutely recommend Sunrise.

Really the only negative experience we had was their Covid practices were a bit inconsistent. They said there would only be window visits, and the first two visits we had they actually wanted us to go inside the room so they didn't have to move our loved one. On move-in day, they had us going in and out without any extra precautions other than face masks. Then 10 minutes later when we came back they wanted us in full protective gear. That seemed a little odd. Also on move-in day, there was no staff there to guide us - they were busy doing other things. But other than that first day, the staff has been great, very helpful and informative. They really have kept us informed about what's going on with our loved one. They were very responsive to any questions we had.

We chose Oakmont of El Dorado because of the accessibility of the facility. When I first came in here it was not a very good experience. Since I have gotten everything straightened out, it has been a much better experience. All of the staff members have been polite and we get along well. The food is hit or miss, some days it is great, other days I cannot eat it. I do think they would benefit from doing spot checks and coming around to check in on the residents. After all is said and done, it is a pretty good facility and they made some positive changes that I recommended.

The community is awesome for my loved one. The intake paperwork was a lot to deal with, due to the pandemic. They have a new executive director in place.

They just opened, and having some growing pains. The residents have had to be in lock down due to quarantine. The food that has been delivered to the residents has been cold. Some of their staff has quit. Staff and residents have had their vaccines.

Definitely check this community out. I would definitely recommend this community to others. They have different room sizes that you can choose from. from a studio to separate cottages.

We chose Sunrise Villa Salinas because it is in the neighborhood where my mother lived for 30-40 years. It was a very familiar facility and people we know have been there and had nothing but good things to say about it. When we were looking around, this was the best value for the money for what my mom needed. They have been really responsive and flexible especially with us living remotely. Overall, I would definitely recommend.
