My parents needed more nursing care and although Ivy Park originally said they could help they could not. Their current facility has full time nurses 24-7. I thought the staff was pretty helpful with tasks around their apartment. The nursing staff wasn't all that helpful

Have lived here several months and the experience is superior. The staff is dedicated, the food is diverse, tasty and more than sufficient. The activity programs are extensive and interesting. Trips are frequent and to interesting points of interest. I would recommend the experience to all who are seeking a superior long- term senior living facility.

We've had a very positive overall experience so far-especially considering they're currently going through a number of changes. The facility is generally very clean, and the staff is consistently friendly and welcoming. The quality of care has been reassuring. My mom is slowly declining, but I truly believe she's being cared for as well as can be expected, and that gives our family peace of mind. The administrative staff has also been excellent-helpful, responsive, and professional. While I don't eat there regularly, I have attended a few holiday banquets, and the food has been superb. They also recently brought in a new activities director, which seems like a positive step forward. In terms of value, it appears to be in line with other facilities in the area. What really stands out, though, is how much the caregivers genuinely care about the residents-it makes a meaningful difference. One of our favorite features is the garden. It's absolutely beautiful, with roses and trees that my mom-and our whole family-truly enjoy.

There is no air conditioning in the rooms. Their bookkeeping/invoices are difficult to understand. Excellent meals, many choices. Lots of activities, both on site and bus tours. They also moved all belongings and furniture. Even packed clothes. That is a one trip free offer. If more trips required there is a charge.

Noticably caring and friendly residents and staff. Smaller resident population than other communities we've visited.. very flexible dining hours. Great outdoor space in center of facility. Apartment size bigger than other facilities visited, very comfortable. Limited resident car parking on property.

My mother is happy with the food and the activities. The public spaces seem very clean. The weekly cleaning of her room is not as good, although she has two cats and we are not paying extra for them. There seems to be very high staff turnover; I'm not sure but this may be typical for this type of facility. She has an "open suite" so there are two rooms plus a fridge and microwave. Space is sufficient for her, but we rejected the single room version as being too small. We felt that we got a good price for the suite originally, but they have raised the price twice by 8% on her move-in anniversary, which seems high.

For us, the size of the apartment was wonderful. Plenty of room. Was generally clean all around. The staff that took care of my dad was very good. The administration of the memory care wing was a little inexperienced and it showed. The food was fine and they were always willing to accommodate a picky eater. I thought there could have been more activities to keep the memory care residents more engaged.

Positive would be the staff, physical therapist on site, pleasant surroundings. Also the fact that my niece didn't have to go out shopping for Depends and some other self care products. On the negative, my sister picked up several ailments while there including a scabies type rash, eye infection. Also, even though clothes were labeled, she was constantly losing hers, and wearing other resident's clothes... Another negative is that my sister 'lost' her glasses several times there - one time they were under the bed but the staff couldn't find them or didn't look. I think the care staff who were the residents the most had too much to do - too many issues to look into. Even with the negative comments, Oakmont Folsom was by far better than any other similar residence.

My husband and I chose the Ivy Park at Piner because 1. Their initiation fee was the most reasonable 2. The staff are very helpful and answered our questions any time. 3. Their locked area looks clean 4. We can choose a private or semi private room, and either one I choose a resident have a private bathroom (but a shower is shared for a semi private. 5. They have nicer views Cons: 1. Whoever comes in, the just need to write name and can proceed to the memory care area. They don't verify visitors' ID. 2. We kept on asking for the room key, but it took almost a month. We still don't have a room key. The staff can lock the door when we asked. 3. There are many times other residents came into my brother-in-law's room and even several items were missing. (Therefore, we don't leave any valuable items in his room) 4. Nobody is actually walking with him even though we requested. It's literally let the residents do on their own.

All staff are friendly and helpful. Memory care staff are especially caring and skilled in their tasks.

Housing and activities are 5. Food seems good. Staff are nice but there are times the wait can be 15-20 moments before someone arrives when called. There is significant red tape in getting basic medical care implemented, everything minor item requiring a physician order. Soaking a toe requires a home health referral. This may be the case with other facilities. The sales people are very communicative, the care coordinators are not. Very frustrating to get a call back or response to emails (if there was a separate category for the coordinators I would give them a "2". My sister requires high amounts of care and it is expensive. Ivy Park feeds details into a software program and comes out with a fee that is not transparent. Overall this is a place that would be more value for a resident who has minimal mobility and can still perform some activities of daily living. They have a memory unit which I have not yet toured. I would be wary of the cost of the caregiving services, as what they list are not always included without a significant charge.

The staff there were lovely and took great care of him. The food was good. I ate several meals there myself. It was clean and home-like. And the staff were very caring and tried to engage him in activities. We appreciated our time at Ivy Park and believe they took great care of my dad. They also were so kind and welcoming to us, especially during the final days of hospice care. I recommend Ivy Park to friends and colleagues.

The staff are very supportive and are aware of my requests for visiting and are patient with my mom's behavior. I appreciate their care of her. Also, there are multiple activities so she's not sitting all the time. Finally she has made several friends so doesn't feel lonely or abandoned by me. She frequently tells me she is ok and I don't need to visit all the time. She says she is happy there.

Cheerful with nice outdoor patio. Clean new aesthetically pleasing environment. I would recommend it to others. We have had a positive experience.

The place seems very clean. Everyone was nice that we came across. Rooms and outdoor area is great. Very pricey but I assume all assisted living places are. Sales lady we did the tour with was fantastic and very personable.

The community is a good mix of people. Food choices and service issues need to be addressed, specifically hiring, training of staff and meeting dietary requirements as in gluten free options.

Friendly and helpful staff, supportive environment, clean, good food service, occasional changes in staffing that can create inconsistency, currently no hairdresser available, but otherwise very good place for Mom. It's "home" to her and we're thankful she has found community there.

We like the facilities and the staff as well as the food. They just raise the rent [date removed] which made them a 4 not a 5.
