Our family had an in person tour experience with Sunrise of Tustin and even though we did not pick it for our loved one we thought it was a good overall tour experience

I liked the facility set in the neighborhood. It blended in with the homes in the area unlike a lot of senior living complexes that seem to be built next to the highway. This facility was fairly well maintained and the staff was nice although I think they needed some more staff because at times - especially around mealtime they seemed a bit overwhelmed trying to help people to eat and at the same time clean up, etc. coordination between doctor patient and the facilities nurse(s) could be better. As far as value to cost it's slightly better than most of the assisted living facilities in the area. Then again it depends on what the needs are for your loved one.

I'm currently a resident at Ivy Park at San Ramon. The staff is helpful and friendly. The dietary choices are limited, but options are available and can be worked out with the Chef. The quality of the food is satisfactory. The overall cleanliness of the facility and resident areas is good. Communication with the facility was troublesome initially, due to staff changes. Interactions with the staff have been positive. I would recommend this facility to family and friends.

We have had a good overall experience with Elk Grove Park. They are flexible and willing to work with you, if you are not satisfied with the service.

Everything is great at Oakmont. Great food, lots of extracurricular activities and a wonderful staff. It's a great facility. We picked this community, because of the location, and price.

I would highly recommend Ivy Park at Salinas. My sister is very happy there and that has been most important to me. Very friendly, interactive with the residents and families. Would like a faster, more consistent response to email inquiries. We picked this community, because it seemed to fit my sister's personality and needs the best.

I would recommend The Cottages to them, for sure. I would encourage them to be an active participant in their loved ones care to ensure nothing slips through the cracks. They are all doing their best, and sometimes wires get crossed. If you are present as much as possible, it helps with awareness. We picked this community, because of the close proximity to my house, amenities, kind, helpful and informative staff.

My loved one was a resident at Oakmont of Camarillo. Being that I have experience with two facilities, I would say to all people who are looking for a care facility that every Assisted Living facility is going to have its shortcomings. It is a very tough business to house, feed, and provide care for an elderly person with disabilities such as Dementia. Some are better at certain parts of the care of our loved ones than other parts of the care. This facility has beautiful grounds and amenities. The resident rooms are very luxurious. The bathrooms were designed for a person with special needs, like a walk in shower. My wife and I commented how we wouldn't mind having one of their rooms for ourselves. The people that provide care services are in general pretty good people. But like any profession, there are those who might not be as proficient, or caring, as others (i.e. you might do things a little different than them). This is where most of the shortcomings happen. You could see what management intended to happen, but in reality was not executed very well by the staff. That may be because of the mounds of responsibilities heaped on the staff. So some things fall through the cracks. This facility provided a much better product than our previous facility, as far as the food. As an overall feeling, Oakmont had a great vibe. It was a happy place that when you walked in the door you got a genuine sense of community. They planned fun outings and and were always changing it up with the décor of the season and holding events at the facility like musical entertainment on a Friday evening. I know my mom was happy living at Oakmont. When ever I would take her on an outing to our house or for appointments at the salon for a haircut or a doctor visit, she was always eager to get back to her "home" at Oakmont.

We toured Sunrise of Studio City during our search for care for our loved one. Our tour was good and our tour guide was friendly. However, this facility was too large for my loved one, it felt more like a hotel.

We toured with Sunrise at Palos Verdes and it was a very nice facility, but it just did not seem like it was going to be the right choice or fit for my loved one.

We picked this community, because my mom really liked the overall feel of the place. It was bright and airy. Overall, I would recommend to other families.

Overall everyone is very nice and caring. I'm struggling to find the chain of command when I have a an issue that needs to be addressed.

Overall experience - were pleased with Oakmont. The staff is lovely, the facility is nice. A relative has a private room that is spacious for his wheelchair. It is amongst the pricier of facilities, however, we feel we don't have to worry about him while he's there. Overall care is really good, however, within two weeks of arriving our relative came down with Covid. he had to spend a month in the hospital. Then go to a different care facility for 2 weeks before he could be allowed back in to Oakmont. no one who visited him from outside the facility had Covid. We later learned that five staff members and eight assisted living people all came down with Covid at the same time. Yet Oakmont was at a loss to explain to us how he had gotten sick. They claimed it was no one on their staff that had been near him that had Covid. He was the only person in memory care to come down with Covid at that time. The place is very clean. A lot of memory care as we looked at to smell like urine. This place neither smells like urine or like cleaning products. It's pretty much like walking into somebody's home. Everyone there has been really friendly. And they seem to have a very large staff to patient ratio compared to other places we've seen. For the meals and dining when we looked at this place we were very impressed with the food options. However, our family member is in memory care, and they do not have the same options as assisted living. That is one thing or family member complains about every time we visit him. Even with his memory issues he always tells us the food isn't what he wants. We cannon speak to the activities, we are rarely there when they do activities. When we do go to visit him, they are usually watching movies., or watching sing-along shows. I believe when he first went there they did have board games. They may still do these things, but he doesn't tell us that so we don't know. For the value, this is what we expected it to be however, I do feel it's still a bit high for what he receives. But we also understand he's in memory care, and that does take more than someone who's not memory care.

It's a lovely community and the staff was very nice, but it didn't meet our needs. We were given some misleading information by the woman who gave us a tour. My loved ones weren't able to live in the assisted living part of the facility and still get memory care.

The quality of the food has gone down. The value for the money is great. We picked this community, because it was close to home, the quality, it was the nicest, price point and I liked the people. My loved one engages in zumba, walks, enjoys painting, and chair yoga. I would recommend the traditions department to other families.

Our family has had a positive experience with The Ivy at Golden Gate so far. I appreciate the dedication of the staff. Overall I think it's a nice facility.

What we really like about the Oakmont of Escondido Hills community are they lovely grounds and their wonderful staff. We would recommend this community to other families based on our experience so far.

This facility is best for residents with some level of independence. My mother was there less than a week, but, staff was pleasant so far as I could tell. My mother was too advanced for their level of care, but the nursing director made decisions to try to get better care for my mom. The nursing and admissions director were great to work with.

Oakmont of Torrance. Again, another great place. I can't remember her name but she also took her time. She wasn't quite as friendly as [name removed], but still knowledgeable. We didn't go with them because it felt too free. Almost like if he wanted he could just walk out the door unless he was in the memory care wing which is no freedom. While the facility was clean, it felt cold and not comfortable for what we wanted for my FIL. My husband and I joked that we want to life at Oakmont later in life. It is a really nice facility.
