Friendly staff, with good attitudes regarding being ready to assist. Dining room folks are nice but a bit understaffed so the service can be slow at times.

I have recommended. I picked this community because of the proximity and access.

Everything's is fine but my loved one wanta to leave because of the food is not good.My loved one picked this community because it was in the city that she was familair with and half the time we thought the food choices were going to be good. But now the food quality and choices has declined.

Staff is friendly and made our loved one feel very welcomed. We would like to have seen more encouragement from staff to facilitate our loved one to participate in dining room meals and activities.

It is hard to give a qualified response to the questions. I'm in MN and Oakmont is in CA. I haven't been to the facility yet, but will be going in the spring. At this point, from my experience in working with the Oakmont folks, I would give a 4 across the board. I might rate higher after I've been there. Being responsible for my cousin in the memory care unit at Oakmont is a new experience for me. I would say that the faculty and staff have been responsible in providing for her care, and in providing updates. Looking forward to actually getting there.

I'm happy with Oakmont. It's a very friendly and caring community all of the employees seem to like their jobs and the management also the office doors are right in the lobby and open which I can't say for [ facility name removed]

The staff is extremely helpful and friendly. They don't hesitate to answer questions or assist with things I need assistance with when I call such as checking on my loved one and making sure to have things personal items needed for her if she is going to go out. The food could be better. The portions are small. Also my cousin needs her food puréed but their food processor has been broken for over a month so they were giving her their pre puréed food which she does not like. So they have been borrowing her food processor. For the money they charge, I would think they would get a new food processor.

The staff is very kind and caring. Communication with the family has been very good. I would recommend this facility, mainly due to the staff but it is also a beautiful place and looks like an upscale hotel.

There has been an enormous turnover in staff. So many open positions! It's kind of alarming! The staff that they do have are great, but there is not enough of them. Housekeeping is good. Communication is pretty much non-existent. The facility is really nice, I just wish there were more daily activities. It's sort of the same thing everyday, probably because they are so short in staff. The Activity Director just left, there is NO staff for rides to doctor, drug store etc. One person left to do things like arts and crafts. I was told there were two classes each week on water aerobics, they just started two weeks ago. I've been here for a few months and we are now on the third Director and Executive Chief since I've been here. The ones that are here now are temporary from corporate. If they could get their act together, this would be a fabulous place to live!

Everyone at Oakmont of San Antonio Heights is so friendly, and that is something our family had really been impressed by. Based on the experience we have had so far, we would definitely recommend this community to other families.

The friendliness of the staff gets a 5+++. Your biggest asset are those working on the 1st and 2nd floor. Your front desk (all of them), your wait staff and the people who deliver meds and provide assistance are Amazing. It would be better if [name removed] , [name removed], [name removed]and [name removed]were better informed of the new practices and costs therein. It would be great to have an advisor on the premises who could help families navigate elderly needs like an advocate to educate (Medicare, hmo, dementia, VA and just understanding end of life options) because the family (us) are floundering.. Other than that, it wS a good experience and we miss the staff a bunch.

I have seen positive changes in my mom since she moved to Ivy Park. She had been living alone and her dementia was declining quickly. I think that the compassion from the caregivers and the engaging activities have had a very positive impact on my mom's quality of life. She has much more energy and has more moments of clarity than she used to have.

Staff was friendly and took good care of my Mom and were responsive when we had questions or requested assistance. The move in process went smoothly. My mom's room was always very clean. I would recommend the facility. The one recommendation is to provide more reports to the family. We were told during the tour that we would be given updates re my mom, things she did, issues etc. While the staff provided information, we were the ones who had to request the info, if we didn't ask we didn't really receive updates re how my mom was doing (eg how much she was eating).

They had a higher level of care for a challenging tenant with certain health and mobility issues. I would recommend to others.

My family and I love spending time here in Oakmont. We like to have food here in the dining room together. I like going to the happy hours every week. It’s always something different and fun. I like that everyone is always so helpful.

The nurses always come and help with all my concerns. The maintenance department can fix anything and everything. Oakmont is a great place to live. I’m happy to have moved in here and make plenty of friends here.

The staff is very nice and made my dad feel very welcome. It took a week or two to get everything set up and the staff was very receptive to his/my needs and questions. The facility is absolutely beautiful.

This is a great facility. I'm dealing with memory care so, my perspective is dealing from that aspect. The rooms are a big size, even the shared rooms. Mostly 5 stars but, always room for improvement

We cannot comment on the activities, my mom didn't participate in any activities. What we like the most about the Oakmont of The Lakes community is The employees, they are all very friendly and helpful. We would recommend this community to other families based on the experience we have had so far.
