Capriana has been fabulous.. what a great choice for mom.. only wish we had done it sooner.. they take such great care of her ands offer so many different levels of care.. they are helping her settle in and offer such love and care..

We have recently placed my 89-year-old father at Oakmont after quite a bit of stressing and anxiety making this decision. His dementia had gotten much wore and we all felt that this was the best decision for dad. He lived with myself and my husband, who was his main caretaker, for almost 2 years. It became apparent that we had to make a move for dad's sake. My brother and I toured a few facilities and we fell in love with Oakmont. The employees are so helpful and always with a smile. My father absolutely loves the place and appears to be thriving. I would highly recommend Oakmont.

They are pretty good. They don't have enough help it just varies. My father had a recent fracture of the arm ad tripped on oxygen tubing. His plan of care needed to increase which I pay an additional [removed] a month. They have approximately 8 minutes to get to his room and they are taking the 8 minutes. I asked them if they could get to him quicker because he does not want to use it on his self and they say we have 8 minutes.

My mother is really not with it at all, so she really just needs basic care and watch to make sure nothing bad happens to her. That which they do, they do a really good job of.

I was a prior resident at The Watermark Beveryly Hills, and am currently on the waiting list, with that being said I have had a wonderful experience here. I like it very much, they are very very nice to me. Everything I ask for is always available. It is not at all like a senior home its a very unique atmosphere and community.

We have no issues with Sunrise of Palo Alto. The only thing I would mention is we are not quite clear about how all the medical stuff works. We transferred him from one system to another so there has been some confusion. We got all of that resolved already though. Other than that it has been a really good experience at this facility.

They have been absolutely wonderful at Sunrise Of Claremont. They are short staffed and that is the most bothersome issue for me. Also in the beginning we were told that the care takers are assigned to 3-6 residents depending on needs but really it's more like 13-20. I was also told they would have the same caretaker for the most part and this just hasn't been the case. It's particularly bothersome when the patient has Alzheimer's. The main issue I would like to see resolve here is the shortage of staff.

Overall our experience with Sunrise of La Jolla has been a good one. The facility itself is very nice, and all of the aides and caregivers are friendly and do their best to look after the residents. I had a few issues with their medication service initially, and had to do a bit of work on my own to get things working smoothly, but that all worked out. I do feel they could have been a lot more upfront about their pricing before we moved our loved one in. It initially looked like it would be near the same price as the community we moved from, but there were a lot of extra fees that they didn't mention that get tacked on to our bill.

The staff is really In-tune with the issues of the residents and their memory loss. I have been very happy with their daytime activities and regular outings. The facility is nicer and cleaner than any I visited and the single rooms are large for a studio. My mother is having a hard time adjusting to her new surroundings and it is causing anxiety but the caregivers are very patient and caring. I would recommend The Villagio to anyone who is looking for a quality memory care facility for their loved ones.

My Daughter moved in just two months ago from out of state. She is battling end stage cancer and I can not thank the staff at Bonita enough for their care and kindness with the whole move. They really helped me when I thought I had no other options. The caregivers are wonderful and the management team has been great. They communicate issues and find creative ways to solve them for my family and I. It's so nice to see truly dedicated staff members. I feel like they are all a part of my family. Thank you SO much to everyone that works at Sunrise at Bonita you are truly angel's.

My mom has only been here, in Memory Care, for about a month, but for less money, it's twice as nice as [facility name removed], where she came from. The staff is more professional and engages her in activities instead of letting her sit in her room, which she's prone to do. Her room is also much nicer, as are the facilities in general. So far, I have a good feeling about it.

I have been very well pleased with Sunrise of Santa Monica. There is a lady that lives there whom I love and have helped out for years, and I am happy to say that she is doing well. The people there are very pleasant to work with. All the staff are all very nice, friendly, and helpful. The only possible area for improvement is that they do seem like they might be a tad understaffed. I am not sure if that is accurate or not, but that has been a perception of mine. But they do a really great job.

Approximately one year ago, I moved my mother from a Southern California assisted living facility. She has moderate dementia and after evaluating 2-3 facilities with specialized memory care, I selected Lakeside Park. Lakeside Park has provided excellent care of my mother. It is not an easy task to look after a family member with cognitive impairment, much a group of several individuals. My mother's condition not only stabilized, but I feel her cognition had slightly improved. All of the staff members, including the front desk receptionists, housekeeping personnel, caregivers and management, were genuinely concerned with the welfare of the residents and responsive to my concerns. I visited my mother frequently during the week and on weekends, and not once did any of the caregivers (known as "care partners") demonstrate frustration, impatience or anger with any of the residents. Lakeside offered a good variety of activities for residents, as well as excellent lectures and support for family members. The chef is outstanding and prepared excellent tasting and nutritious meals. Lakeside Park has contracted with an excellent and dedicated physician who provides medical consultation for the facility. However, there is a lack of onsite licensed nursing care which may impact on administration of certain medications and I would recommend family members discuss their specific situation with Lakeside Park. After much consideration and some sadness, I decided to relocate my mother to another facility in closer proximity to my home to live out her remaining years. I hope that the new facility will be as good as Lakeside Park and will miss the people there.

This Sunrise of Playa Vista is a very nice facility. The people are good to work with. They are compassionate and considerate. The facility is beautiful and I think they provide a really nice environment for the guests that are there. They take very good care of the residents. My overall rating of this property is 4 1/2 stars. It has been a positive experience. The facility is also very clean and nice.

We were apprehensive to move our mother into an assisted living facility because she had lived for 63 years in her same home. She has had 7 days a week 8hr daytime companion care at her home, but nobody was with her the other hours. Assisted living ends up more economical than having 24/7 in home care. But the best reason for assisted living at Sunrise is the interaction with the many other residents and staff. Plus the daily activities and outings. I have also realized our family is more apt to visit Mom at Sunrise because of the great environment and they are able to join in with the activities to give them something more interesting to do, rather than just going to her house and watching TV with her. I wish we could have convinced our Mom to move to Sunrise 3 years ago when she first started in home care. I think she would have been even more active. Long term care insurance is paying for her stay and I would suggest everyone look into it. I hate insurance, but I can actually see the benefit of LTC insurance if you have children and don't want to burden them with taking care of you or you want to protect your assets for them.

My father has called Atria Sutton home for the last 2.5 years. The staff go out of their way to talk to him, the cleaning ladies go above and beyond, and the dining room help are always very friendly. The Director of activities is always doing something for the residents in a fun way. They even bring in weekly entertainment so the residents can enjoy music during happy hour! Holiday meals are always wonderful and delicious & the shuttle is always there for Dr. appointments, and takes them any place they want or need to go. My fathers only complaint ever has been about the food, mainly the sausage and steak which are always cooked too much so it is tough to eat and cut. I highly recommend Atria, it is comforting to know that all of his daily needs are being met in a safe place, he is happy and very healthy for 92 years old.

The Sunrise of West Hills is great! It has been a great experience. I am glad that my loved one is happy here. I would recommend this place.

As a case manager for senior services and a gerontology professor at a local jr. college was familiar with this facility. I was assisting a friends family with a placement. We both liked the facility and the programs they offered.

My dad spent 4 years at Sunrise and it was a great place for him. He was in assisted living, with only 50 residents, and everyone knew his name; whenever staff called me about anything they made it a point to say, before anything else, 'your dad is fine' - which I really appreciated. They did hospice at the end after he came out of the hospital. The nursing staff and care managers were great; Sarah worked with me for over a year before we could get my dad to move there and she was great. The Exec. Dir., Catherine, takes care of any problem you bring her, no matter how small, and Delia and the other front desk folks are super. I would highly recommend this place to anyone who can afford it -it's pricy.

Overall I think they do a good job at Villagio at Capriana, I'd give them high marks across the board. The facility is clean and well kept, and the staff have all been very friendly and responsive to care needs. The only issue I've run into is that sometimes it feels like the right hand doesn't know what the left is doing with the staff, if you come to them with an issue it can be hard to narrow down who the person you should be talking to is, and then hard to get in touch with that person directly. They've been more than happy to fix any issue we've brought to them, but sometimes it has taken more than a little determination on our part.
