My dad spent 4 years at Sunrise and it was a great place for him. He was in assisted living, with only 50 residents, and everyone knew his name; whenever staff called me about anything they made it a point to say, before anything else, 'your dad is fine' - which I really appreciated. They did hospice at the end after he came out of the hospital. The nursing staff and care managers were great; Sarah worked with me for over a year before we could get my dad to move there and she was great. The Exec. Dir., Catherine, takes care of any problem you bring her, no matter how small, and Delia and the other front desk folks are super. I would highly recommend this place to anyone who can afford it -it's pricy.

Overall I think they do a good job at Villagio at Capriana, I'd give them high marks across the board. The facility is clean and well kept, and the staff have all been very friendly and responsive to care needs. The only issue I've run into is that sometimes it feels like the right hand doesn't know what the left is doing with the staff, if you come to them with an issue it can be hard to narrow down who the person you should be talking to is, and then hard to get in touch with that person directly. They've been more than happy to fix any issue we've brought to them, but sometimes it has taken more than a little determination on our part.

Very nice building with great staff. When I visited there were many activities going on and the residents seemed very happy and well taken care of.

An pricey solution, but excellent staff and food. Very well run assiste living location!

We were looking for a place for our mother in order to help her become more social and then also to help her with her failing memory, and need for assistance. The Oakmont is a beautiful facility and the staff was very friendly during our tour. Our mother immediately felt at ease and even as she struggled knowing she was leaving her home, she consistently commented on the fact that she loved the facility and she felt very comfortable there. We are so grateful that she will have a wonderful place to live and one she should be very happy to be living in as well.

I think they are doing a pretty good job so far. They are clean and the staff is pretty friendly, and all of that. I don't really have any complaints. I would rate them pretty highly.

My brother moved in to Sunrise of Bonita a week ago. I toured the facility a year ago, and I was not ready to let go...I have been taking care of my brother now for over 15 years. I walked in and didn't even make an appointment. I met with Michelle who is so loving and understanding she spent an hour with me going over what I was looking for and what my concerns were. Every other facility I visited I felt barreled through the whole process. I then met the person in charge of the whole building Angie, she was very nice as well. Dan and Shannon were very well versed and answered all my questions. The homey atmosphere was refreshing. I appreciate everything the staff has done. They really care and I can feel it every time I walked into the building. I would recommend this place to anyone of my friends and family. I feel like they took my brother in as one of their personal family members. I am soooooooo HAPPY!!! Thank you Sunrise!!!!

I contacted A Place for Mom to locate a new living situation for my parents. The consultant I worked with was familiar with the geographic area, listened to our needs and gave us referrals that were right on target. After visiting various properties, we choose the Wellington in Laguna Hills. My parents just moved in, and are very happy with their new home. This service saved us a lot of time and effort, and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for senior living options.

We were so stressed out about Dad, Mom was not sleeping well ( one eye open she said), giving him24/7 attention and care. We looked at 4 other options. Sunflower was just far and away the best. At first, it also seemed highest in cost. However, it's cost is all inclusive with one small exception. The Residence is only 5 minuets from Mom's, she drops in whenever she wants. She is always welcomed, the staff all know Dad and updates her. She'll visit, maybe eat with Dad and then watch him in a activity. She leaves with a good feeling about placing Dad there. She's still sad they aren't living together anymore, yet she knows in her heart that Dad is safe, well looked after and happy in the moment.

Have been very satisfied with service I have received. Of the many facilities I looked at, I feel this was the best choice. Management tries to please you and food is good. I feel the caretakers are above average. Like anywhere, you still need to visit and check on things.

So far, really good. My mom says she likes this place. Raves about the food. And she is becoming more social with her peers. I'm glad she's at a place she likes. However, from experience, we'll need to re-evaluate in 6 months, to see if she still likes it after the honeymoon period.

Overall I'm very pleased with Sunrise at Wood Ranch. I like the staff and the facility. When we first moved my loved one in, there were a few difficulties, but it got better after that. A discussion with management settled that issue. The caregivers are very caring and very intuned with her. If something doesn't seem right, they don't hesitate to call me And let me know. If I tell one caregiver or person something to do or not, they all know which I like. They have plenty of planned activities for the residents. I'm very happy with them.

I really like The Regency. I'm pleased with the staff and their friendly ways, the cleanliness of the facility, services they provide, and the care they give to my mom.

They really have done a pretty good job. They keep the community very clean, and the staff is friendly and attentive. The food looks pretty good. The cost is pretty high, that is the only thing. We negotiated on the price of the private room, when we first came they tried to get us to switch to a shared room, but that didn't happen. Other than that, the care has been wonderful.

I do not think that there is better address for care of Seniors who want an independant living or assisted living here in California. The food at Segovia is very good with enough diversity to please many palates.There are organized outings to excellent restaurants as well. There are many physical activities and social games. For non drivers, there are organized shopping mornings to the most important retailers of the area. There are musical entertainments on the premises and access to different theaters. The atmosphere is very friendly and the staff go to the extra mile for satisfaction of the residents. The drivers will take you for doctors appointment within a 10 miles radius at no extra charge. I cannot answer the cost per month since it is based on the choice of the entrance fee plan. there are four of them. For this facility to be complete they should add a section for residents who need a 24 hours care for example following a serious surgery.... or very ill. Segovia would then avoid the exit of such patients.

This place is very fancy. You drive up a hill to reach it, and there is a large sculpture in the drive-up culdesac. It feels like you are going to a classy resort. Inside, that feeling continues! The dining room was absolutely beautiful and the decor reminded me of a turn-of-the-century/Victorian setting. They have the entrees they're serving throughout the day on display outside the dining room, like at a fancy restaurant. They have set meals, but they also offer anytime dining, which I really liked because it's so flexible. Visitors can join you for a meal, but they'll have to pay $5-10. They also have a private dining room that seats 10 that you can reserve. All of the staff wear hotel-like uniforms. We didn't see any caregivers while we were there - I'm not sure if that's because they tend to cater more to independent living rather than assisted. The rooms were all very nice and quite roomy. We were shown their smallest option, and it still had a lot of space to move in! I think all of the rooms had balconies as well. Most of the rooms either have a view of the mountains, or of the beach - nice! The landscaping in their enclosed courtyard was beautiful. They had a pool and a putting green, too. We saw residents playing bingo while we were there, and it was a full house! They had a nice wall of photos/stories honoring the residents who were veterans - I'm not sure if that was just for 4th of July or if it is more of a permanent fixture. There appeared to be ample parking. I also noticed out front that they had doggie bag stands, so I wonder if they allow residents to bring their pets? Apparently there is a resident artist there. They have an art studio and one of the residents is an accomplished bronze sculptor. In fact, many of the bronze sculptures you see throughout the building are his! I thought that was really neat.

Down the road from Leisure World, and across the street from another retirement community. Very, very fancy and absolutely beautiful lobby with a large atrium and rainforest-like display. Feels more like a hotel. Lots of parking for residents. One feature I liked about the rooms is they all had a little window that jutted out from the building so it could be a great little ledge for plants or other kitchen knickknacks.

A lovely community that serves their residents very, very well. Sarah and Jessica were so helpful during my tours. Shannon (the Terrace Club Coordinator) is awesome (!), the care team is fantastic, and Yvonne (one of the LVN's) is competent and super pleasant to interact with. Terrace Club is truly a Godsend... finding the right care for high functioning dementia residents, like my aunt, is extremely difficult. Sunrise is one of the few communities to fill in the gap, and has created the perfect balance of care for that delicate stage between Assisted Living and full Reminiscence care. All of the staff at Sunrise are very, very pleasant and helpful. The only thing I feel could be improved is an additional person on the wellness team. Day to day and urgent needs are handled efficiently, but It can take a while for responses to the not-so-urgent matters. All in all, I highly and enthusiastically recommend Sunrise of Huntington Beach! My aunt is very well cared for and I couldn't be happier.

They do a very good job. The staff is very nice, sometimes I feel like the follow through isn't always there. Some of the little details and unique attentiveness can be overlooked, they have offered things that haven't happened. The food would be a four. I think it would be nice if they had some sort of on call masseuse, that would be nice. I wish they had more help with the psychological aspect. There should be some kind of mandatory adjustment counseling to deal with the massive change and the emotional stress that comes along with this kind of move. I think they feel like they got dumped off there, and they don't really address that. None of the communities do it. It would be nice to have someone to talk to that could maybe help them deal with the adjustment, as part of the process.

My wife spent six nights in Respite Care at Valley View Gardens while I was away on a trip. She enjoyed the time spent there and we would use this facility again for Day and Respite care needs. The care givers there are terrific.
