We're extremely satisfied with them. It's expensive but you're taking care of a person's life! The care is great from what we can see and so are the activities. The only think that came as a surprise to us is when they have their big get together activities with lunch and everything, there is a $20 charge with that whic is fine, it's just we weren't aware of it. They go above and beyond. They are so nice and kind and helpful. It's a smaller, family atmosphere. We've had no bad experiences.

It is an older community but it is very well maintained. They said they do deep cleaning every quarter but we haven't been here long enough to see it happen. My loved one likes the food a lot. The only thing I could say might be a negative is that when occasionally the food is not served at the right temperatures. Overall it's well maintained community that takes good care of the residents. They also offer a good level of activities for the residents. So far it has been going good. The cost of the community was better then other communities we looked at. They are a good caring community that knows what they are doing. Just seems like they have their act together.

My grandmother is a resident at Sunrise and I can't say enough wonderful things about this facility. The staff is amazing and always updates our family on any changes. The building is absolutely gorgeous! We just me the new management team and they are so friendly, warm and passionate. Best Assisted Living facility in San Diego!!!

It's been really great. My aunt has been there for a week and a half. From what I have seen, the care is good. They do a lot of music, art, movies, shopping trips, happy hours, coffee and news in the morning and all kinds of games. My aunt likes it. She really likes the food. She said everything she's had has been really good. I visited 4 places and this was the best for my aunt's needs.

Excellent customer service! Mom will stay here in August using their respite option. Then we will move her to CO.

Out of all the memory care communities APFM recommend this was the best. I really liked the outside environment; it has a park like atmosphere for the residents. I feel like this place was an excellent choice. The only thing I did not like is the community room, it just reminded me of a nursing home. They do not have a separate dining room for the residents. It's a great place and if you are looking for memory care in this area you should go here. I feel like it is the best value and the best place. I would also strongly recommend A Place for Mom to help with the search.

It's a little bit more on the expensive side but I think we're getting what we pay for. We're not overpaying - it's a good value. The caregivers and the staff have just been phenomemal. It's always difficult when older people move, it's hard on them. Everyone from the executive director all the way down to the person at the front desk, they love what they do and it shows. I didn't realize what the difference was between communities until my mom moved to Sunrise of Sacramento. I think Sunrise seeks out people that have a heart for older people and want to be there.

(Activities Not Rated too soon) We have had previous experience with Sunrise; my spouse was a head nurse at a different Sunrise community. We already knew their standards and their procedures so it made it an easy choice. Sunrise is one of the more expensive communities but it is because it is top of the line care.

We were looking for a community that had a lot of open space. He was used to the wide open area and we wanted to be able to keep it that way. Emeritus has a lot of open areas he can enjoy and just relax. We are very happy with them so far. They seemed to be the right fit for our situation.

We looked at several other places in Northern and Southern California, there were closer facilities, but we chose Montecito Oakmont Senior Living because of its surroundings and the people who work there. It is a beautiful place and everyone there seems happy. We had a great experience with the medicine room. If there has been any issue the staff has been great, totally working with us. I just had a good feeling about Montecito Oakmont, they recently replaced the Senior Director who had given us our initial tour and the new one is just as nice and greets us when we visit and is friendly with both family and residents.

Met with Al Oliveros, move-in coordinator. Beautiful facility - bright, spacious. Cheery lobby with music. Friendly people. About 118 rooms, 130 people of whom 60% are independent and 40% are assisted living. Average age is 76. A NJ club. Several practicing Jews so shabbat dinners. Dog can visit. Facility is almost 12 years old. 3 meals, housekeeping weekly, launder sheets and personal laundry. No cable and no phone (need to pay extra). Assessment of mom's status probably on move in. Fixed hours for meals; tea room is open 24 hours. 3 courtyards. There are steps in some places, but alternative ways to get from one area to another without stairs. Big bathroom - but little step to enter shower - bolted shower bench. 1 BR $5510 pm, Studio on 1st floor is $5300. Can adjust heat in each room. $4,000 community fee. Rate disclosure shows increase from 1.2% to 4% to 3.5% over 2010-2012 and states monthly will typically increase between 4%-8%. Rooms have microwave, small refrigerator/freezer and sink. Closets in studio are not as spacious as in 1 BR. Goal is to get people out of rooms and into the activities.

Great facility but location is a problem and cost is above our allowance. Will talk to family but not sure this meets all of our needs.

Mom LOVED this place. We saw a 1-bedroom and she was ready to move in. BUT, the cost may be too high. The strong interest here is that you buy the unit and have it as an asset. But even still, the costs may make this not possible. We had dinner Mon night with 2 residents and it was great. Food was pretty good, not outrageously good as I was sort of expecting. Continental bfast, 30 points for other meals for each month. Stephanie was very sweet. She explained the Priority List ($1K). Great place and would be the easiest and best for being able to visit Mom often. Mom feels she can't afford it. I'm looking at ways to imagine moving her there, maybe waiting longer.

Wow! Like a cruise ship...so many activities + amazing menu & 2 dining seatings. Gated rose garden with BBQ area for family or facility activities. Joy is ready to move in! $150/day reiterate care but must reserve WAY ahead of time!

Lovely place. Like a resort. Dining room has specials daily as well as a regular menu to order from. 2br is ~4500 + 900 in rent, plus ~600 each for care.. It has 2 BR, LR, 1Ba, and a small kitchen. Full size fridge, stove top and sink. No oven.

This tour was great. Another very nice set up and facilities were beautiful! Wouldn't mind living here myself!

Greeted politely - environment very pleasant (inside & out). Very nice, clean place. Felt Good about the place & program. Could be a place for Mom.

Met with the director for an impromptu tour on Friday when I was in the area. Very impressive community. She was extremely helpful. Definitely a top contender.

My husband and I made unannounced visit. Loved it and will keep it on our list.
